Dorothy is Not in Kansas Anymore
Idk i’m still not sure if I’m gonna get back into rp’ing so I may as well post au stuff here.
This is for shslect‘s seven au. With Dorothy and the Virtue of Charity, Hare!
In case people have been wondering where I’ve been.
I’m really sorry about suddenly dropping off, both here and on skype, but at least this time I have a legitmate reason.

“Good guess! But, um– that-that’s not it! Just, ah… gimme a sec.”
Finally able to cool down, he dried his eyes on his sleeves before brushing his bangs in the opposite direction to reveal a scar.

“Wait.... From Halloween? Oh my gosh, I thought that was make-up!! .... Though it does explain why I couldn’t find which Superman you were trying to reference.”
She reached forward, leaning in to get a better look at his scar. She couldn’t help it, scars are cool. Sometimes.
“But dang, who knew such a little scar could have come with such a big story, right? It’s like my aunt said once- ‘every scar needs a story, some you regret, some you pride- And some you make up cause you still can’t remember what happened during that week in Malibu in the Summer of ‘89′. ..... Um.”
Dorothy looked at it for a moment longer, and then fixed his bangs into their usual position.
“You know, you hair looks pretty cute when it’s over on the side like that.”
i cant see the symbol but. the fusion thingy. with the two posh lady friends, wink wink? i can see them fusing to nocturne op. 9 no. 2 ! ;3c
Bright blessed day and dark sacred night meet to make a fusion like an eclipse, almost too beautiful to see with the naked eye.
When Jill and Kaori fuse, the first thing I think is that Kaori’s shawl scarf thingy gets tied around their neck like a very fashionable scarf or ascot kinda thing. A vest top (maybe sleeveless?) and a gown that flows to the floor. Their long hair is tied back with Jill’s ribbon, and it cascades like a waterfall. Their eyes are deep and dark with a knowledge of both the past and the future, though for some reason I see their fusion keeping their eyes closed? Like uvu or somethin’.
Their fusion is very queenly, very ethereal. The sort of commanding yet inspiring presence one feels that they should bow to, and yet who radiates a warmth like an old, close friend.
10/10 Ultimate wife.
Send “👏”and I’ll describe what a fusion between our muses would look and act like.
As a bonus: pick out a song for the muses’ fusion dance.

Unconditional love. He’d been almost certain that this sort of thing only ever happened in the movies. It definitely wasn’t something Montaro had experienced firsthand before, and he didn’t think it possible for someone to care for him so deeply. For a time, he wasn’t sure it existed. He’d never seen it. Never felt it.
And yet… Very suddenly, before he had the chance to wrap his head around it, it had become very real. He could see it, hear it, feel it… It was tangible.
“I can’t… thank you enough. For— for everything. I…”

“Wait, is this the part where you tell me you really do have a secret alias? Not the one you just told me about. The heroic vigilante one.”
She knew Bellman wasn’t just his job description!
Redid SU AU Jill. She’s Charoite now.
A Crystal Gem in the ‘Good but not Nice’ Sense, she keeps track of bubbled Gems in her own little Sanctum (who they were, what they became, etc, etc). She rebelled because she couldn’t morally agree with how the Homeworld and it’s goals had shifted from simply a flourishing civilization to an invading threat to developing societies on other planets.
Still fights with a Rapier, maybe has a short-sword as her side weapon. Her Gem is still located on the back of her left hand.
Seriously considering making SU AU Jill into a fusion gem made of two even smaller Jills.

“I ha-ad no idea… what words could do to a person. And I didn’t care, I— Sh-shh-ssshhhhit, I’m s… I’m… sorry.”
He took a few moments to mop up his tears on the back of his glove before he felt he was prepared go on with his story.

“Montaro...”
For a long moment, Dorothy had no idea what to say. As he spoke, her hands just crept upward until they covered her mouth. So this was the weight that had been holding him all this time, she just had never imagined there would be so much of it. Even worse still was just how some parts just seemed to hit far too close to home.
Dorothy stood up.
“I won’t lie. I know a lot of those things you did were wrong, and neither of us are going to deny that. It’s right for you to feel guilty over all.... All of that.”

“School. I-it’s about school. Sort of. You’ve… go-gotta forgive me if I get emotional here, but— Hmm. I guess I should just… Yeah.”
There was quite a lot more to tell, so Montaro braced himself once again, interlocking his fingers and twiddling his thumbs in and attempt to soothe his frayed nerves.
What was the worst that could happen?

“And.... What happened with Henri?”
Obviously, the way Montaro said that name, he was an important person in her boyfriend’s past. As for the other two... Well, she just hoped she never gets the misfortune to meet either of them.

“You… think so? I mean—”
He visibly perked up at this.
His parents? Proud? It was admittedly a difficult thing to picture. Now that he was thinking on it in depth, he… really couldn’t recall a time where his parents had expressed how proud they were of him (if at all) since entering high school. But it was possible, right? He’d changed by a landslide over the past few years– he’d cleaned up his act! Surely that would be enough to impress even them.
“I hope— I sure hope so. Otherwise, all this would’ve been for nothing…”
But he couldn’t celebrate just yet.
“Gee, I hate to keep saying it, but the-there’s still– still… more.”
“Woah, what else is there? I mean, I get that there were fights, and shoplifting.... And other bad stuff... And then you got sent here.”
She counted them off on her finger, but then slowly withdrew her hands back to clasping around her legs.
“I’m a little nervous to ask, but... Go on. Whatever else it is that you wanna get off your chest.”

“I… ca– I ca-a–came home a few hours later than usual one day and slipped in through the back. I’d just started and ended a fight, so I looked a complete bloody mess, with a broken nose, a busted lip, and some bruises, bu-but-but I figured I could take care of myself because I’d done it before… Anyways, my mom caught me sneaking in. There was blood on my, um— o-on my shoes, and that was what really set her off. So she called my dad downstairs. It’s funny, be-because it– that’s… the only time I can remember all three of us… being together in one place.”
Oh no was right.
“They-they-they wanted to know who… did it. To me. But I was– I wasn’t in the mood to be hounded, so I got angry. I yelled, I-I-I cursed, and they were scared… of me, their-their own son. Mom started crying. Dad wouldn’t say anything. So I admitted that I’d started… and ended… this huge fight, and that only made it worse.”
He gathered that this must’ve been an awful lot for her to take in at once– and this wasn’t even the end of his story– so he decided against continuing before she could process it and, instead, made an attempt to ease her fears.
“Me getting arrested is a– is a whole nother thing, and I don’t think I want to go into details, but just know that it wasn’t.. serious. Uh— Nuh-not-not as serious as it could’ve been, but still not something that should’ve happened to begin with. They put– They just put me in holding for a couple hours, my parents came for me, and I was… let off with a warning.”
A pretty shoddy attempt.
“Wow.... You really have been through a lot. I don’t really know what to say.”
She shifted her feet and ran a hand through her hair. It was a lot to process... But at the same time, she knew Montaro had changed so much since then. Had she learned this sort of stuff about him months ago, she would have been wary of him. Dorothy knew how he really is, a guy who apologizes as often as he needed to, a guy who paid attention to people and was eager to help when someone asked for it.
Thinking of it, when she had first met him, he was honestly afraid of meeting new people; he had come out of his shell so much since that time. Was he afraid of himself then? And was that the same now?
“I dunno, you’re just. Totally different from the person you were. Your parents would be proud to see who you are now, I bet.”
