nuriel:
Nuriel relaxed a margin more in the otherâs hold. âYou succeed because I allow myself to be distracted. I could ignore you if I wanted to.â
âBut why would you want to ignore me?â
.
nuriel:
âYouâre not trying to distract me?â
âI donât try, I succeed. But no, no distractions on purpose.â
nuriel:
Nuriel stiffened for a moment before relaxing into the kissâ which was short lived as he broke it after a few seconds. âYouâre very affectionate. We still have work to do, later, by the way. You wonât get out of it.â
With a small hum, Samael only smiled once more at the other. âI know I wonât get out of it, Iâm not planning to.â
Iâm sorry that I took so long to tell you that I loved you when I knew that I did.

nuriel:
âSamael, it was a week. Seven days, one hundred seventy-eight hours, a little over ten thousand minutes. How much could you possibly miss someone?â
âIt isnât someone, itâs you--I donât like being that far from you, if you haven't noticed...â And with that, Sam managed to easily turn Nuriel for a kiss.
fleur:
âIf you must know, I have another tall brooding friend named Samael. Who also happens to enjoy my sweaters. Actually thatâs a lie. I only know one Samael, who is a big dork.â
âIâm not that broody, though âa big dorkâ on the other hand is debatable--but Iâve been in need of a new sweater. You can never have too many.â A pause, âHey, if it's no trouble, do you think you can make a matching one of this? Not for me, but for... someone..â
fleur:
âCan I ask a quick favour from you? I recently knitted a sweater for a friend and Iâm not too sure it will fit them. Though you do seem to be their stature â so would you mind trying it on for me? Just this once?â.
âYou mean that isnât for me?â
nuriel:
Nurielâs hand lessened significantly in the pressure it was using to keep Samaelâs face away before ceasing entirely. The feel of warm, smooth skin underneath his (borrowed) fingers was a feeling that had been hazy to recall while out of a body. He let said fingers brush over the otherâs cheek before using them to tilt the demonâs head up. He knewâ how could he forget?â that this body was not Samaelâs. Just like the body he occupied was not his. This wasnât what the demon really looked like, as a demonâs true visage was said to Choirs weep with sorrow. Which honestly confused the angel because there was nothing âsorrowfulâ about the being beneath the skin under his fingertips. â⊠Fine. Iâll believe you.â A pause in which he let his hand fall. âDid you want to study or something?â
Without noticing, Samaelâs eyes closed for a moment when Nurielâs hand dropped. If only he kept it there. Though when they reopened, Sam offered a small smile, âMaybe later, I just want to stay like this for a little longer?â Like this, being him holding the other. âI really.. really missed you, you know.â It felt like the longest week of his entire existence, being away from Nuriel. Which sounded so pathetic but as much as it could disgust someone, it was the truth.
staci:
âSo there I was in the library, doing my homework, mindinâ my own business and this human girl came up to me asking about Twilight. âDo you really sparkle in sunlight?â Are you kidding? Iâm glad that some people are aware of supernaturals but you canât just go âround asking people if theyâre breathing disco balls.â
âYou're not a breathing disco ball, right? I mean, either way, it'd be cool, but still.â
thalia:
As her fingertips managed to fasten the top button, Thalia smiled up at her friend, a hint of crimson filling her cheeks. âIâm feelinâ much better, yeah.â A twinge of guilt hit her, fully knowing she had put him in an awkward situation (entirely by accident, really). âNo this is the first time. Are you actually complaininâ about it? Jesus, Iâve never had a complaint about my body before.â A nervous giggle slipped from her lips. Perhaps she was taking the humor too far in an attempt to cover up the embarrassment she felt. âHow do you feel to be back, anyway?â
âOh, no, Iâm not complaining,â Said too casually--perhaps too quickly, as well. âI mean Iâm just saying, I donât think itâd be fair--Iâm sorta--it isnât as if I saw anything, but I,â This was a train-wreck. âLetâs forget I said anything about it, Thal, please?â Though, his moment of silence to regain proper sentence structure was short-lived, âI feel great, honestly. Thingsâve gotten better.â
nuriel:
If heâd had the mind to, Nuriel would have responded to the âbabeâ pet name; because, honestly, where in Heaven or Hell did that come fromâ But he didnât have the mind to as he was currently squirming due to the next bubbling of nerves. A laughâ ewâ escaped, and try as he must he couldnât get further away from Samael as he was sufficiently trapped. So, being the intelligent and resourceful angel that he was, Nuriel pushed Samaelâs face away from his with the palm of his hand. âI said donât.â Even his most authoritative voice wobbled a bit.
Normally, if this was anyone else, Samael would've backed away entirely once his face was shoved away. But Nuriel wasn't anyone else. And when it came to the now (dare he actually say it)--reluctantly--laughing angel, the demon was never one to quit. After all, Sam's been around Nuriel for yearsâand he plans on adding more to the already growing count. âThat time was an accident,â He was completely aware that his grip around the other still didn't let go--nor did it get looser. âI promise.â
nuriel:
Nurielâs borrowed body bent in the direction of Samaelâs hand without his say-so and a something close to a yip was ripped from his lips. It goes without saying that he was mildly mortified at the response. The nerves in his vessel had always been more subdued than how they were naturally; though, heâd never had someone âtestâ them while he was still growing re-accustomed to being body-bound. âDonât do that.âÂ
If he was only slightly smiling before, it was full-blown grinning now. Nurielâs ticklish. Of course, Sam---despite being told not to---was going to use it to his advantage someday. âBabe--â Oops. He still wasnât sure how âpet namesâ sat. âNuriel,â So he corrected himself. âThat was adorable.. Itâs nothing to be ashamed of..â And although this time he genuinely didnât mean to, as all he wanted was to actually wrap his arms around the other, he may or may not have done it again.Â
thalia:
Thalia glanced up wide-eyed, unsure of what to say to Samael. She thought she was alone while fixing her shirt, though in hind site, it probably wasnât the best idea to do it in the hall. âUhm, Iââ Her small hands quickly fumbled to close her half-open shirt. âWhatâs up, Sammy?â
After moments of silence, Sam blinked a few times. While this situation could have been worse, for the both of them, it wasn'tâwhich the demon was thankful for (more awkward situations to deal with wasn't something he really wanted). âUh, I just wanted to know if you're doing better?â Concerned for a friend, that's completely normal. âDo you always fix your clothing in the halls or was this just... one of those times where I popped up when I shouldn't have?â
diego:
Diego was convinced it was an automated response programmed into every teenager on the planet to jerk at the sound of their door opening without notice. He jumped at the noise, sending pieces of chicken flying every which way as he made a frantic scramble to hide the evidence of his altruism by stashing the fluffy body of the dog heâd rescued (stolen) under his bed like feeding small dogs shredded white meat was the social equivalent to snorting coke off a hookerâs thighs.Â
âOh hey!â he announced too loudly, looking everything but inconspicuous as he froze in place, looking unnatural and uncertain. âNoâ I wasnât⊠I wasât doing anything important.â
Diego paused awkwardly, fingers flexing around the chunks of meat still clasped in his hands before slowly extending a handful his way. âYou want some?â
Startled by how startled the other was, Sam forced his eyes to stay open---waves of sudden alarm really spiked his empathy (perhaps the highest itâs been so far since heâs returned to Halloweentown Prep). Had he settled inside sooner, he would find what made his new-found company so jumpy. Though taking in the surroundings of this room. Hashed chicken slices scattered around, a less than cool and collected aura, and was that dog hair on the carpet? Sam knew one thing was for sure: Diego was doing something. Of course he was, that wasnât exactly the secret; the secret is what it was.
Snapping back from gluing sketchy puzzle pieces together, and attempting to reel in from whatever increase in empathy he received, Sam shook his head at the offer. Left hand raised slightly, a signal to hopefully have Diego contract his hand, Samael finally spoke. âNo thanks,â A break. âYou sure I wasnât interrupting anything?â
nuriel:
Nuriel watched as the demon inched closer, almost apprehensive as to the otherâs movements. Turns out, he had reasons to be since when Samaelâs hand brushed his side in itâs path around his waist, nerves jumped. Meaning Nuriel jumped, only slightly. There might have also been a quick huff of air that could have been mistaken for an aborted laugh or cough, dealerâs choice. âWhat was that?â
At the sudden change in tone, it was only appropriate that when Nuriel jumped slightly, Sam mightâve as well, out of his own surprise. Though taking that sound into consideration, the taller regained his briefly faltered smile. âI... donât know,â Pause. âLet me just... try something..â The last time he had said similar words to Nuriel was when he kissed him without warning, but this was different in many ways. Moving his hand--and therefore by default, fingers--back to the spot that caused this, he brushed over it again; this time it was clearly intentional.
