Ungga himself wearing the Tindog Tacloban T-Shirt he designed for Lucky Feet! Joven Mayor, aka Ungga, is a proud Taclobanon and also the Godfather of Street Art in the Philippines. He is one of the pioneers of Pilipinas Street Plan, a community that has grown committed in showcasing and celebrating ephemeral artworks on streets from graffiti, posters, stickers and objects. It has helped open doors for individuals such as visual artists, activists, graffiti artists, writers, designers etc. The community also archived street art in the Philippines through its blog, http://pilipinastreetplan.blogspot.com/ – mapping the Philippine street art scene which is updated with photos, articles and submissions. Joven together with his expecting wife, Monica and son, Seth recently moved to Sundsvall, Sweden and has opened a tattoo shop there. Monica is a professional make-up artist. You can also check out her work at http://monicamayormua.tumblr.com

300 pairs of flipflops were handed out in Dulag's Brgy. Sabang, a remote community facing the Pacific Ocean, through the help of our families and friends in Apitong Country. Apitong Beach Club, yeah!

Thank you ACDI Cooperative with Beta Rho and Sigma Iota for helping us distribute 550 pairs of slippers at Brgy. 54 Magallanes Street. This being a coastal community was among the hardest hit in the city. We cannot thank our donors enough! We won’t be able to continue the work without your very generous donations!

Mrs. Geline Avila, a resident in Oakland California, went back to her hometown,Tanauan, to help rebuild a school. She also help distributed 144 pairs of slippers in Brgy. Magay on February 16 and Brgy. Sta. Cruz on February 19. She also supplemented it with wrapped toys, bath soap and toothbrushes especially for the little kids. The kids’ schools have been partially or totally damaged with the one in Sta. Cruz totally crumbled to the ground. 59 kids died during Yolanda in Sta. Cruz. She said it was fun relating to the kids and sad too listening to some of their stories about how they survived, how they lost siblings, parents and friends. The slippers distribution became an opportunity for some kids to talk about their Yolanda experiences. Thanks to our donors!

Through the leadership of Eric De Veyra, Triskelion helped Lucky Feet distribute 350 pairs of slippers yesterday to mostly children in San Jose, Tacloban City. San Jose was one of the worst-hit and was submerged under water when Typhoon Haiyan hit. Our hearts go out to the families of the children who were lost in the storm.

Ralfie Orrelana, a Guatemalan in the US Navy, feels great to help out in his own way. Big thanks to all the people who have big big hearts and are still helping out eventhough they haven’t been to the Philippines ever.

Palo native, Junjun Portillo, sports his Lucky Feet x Ungga shirt in Greece where he is currently based working for the U.S. Navy Forces. He has been helping local artists non-stop by supporting their causes and fundraisers. He has somehow started a collection of what he calls, "Haiyan Goodies" from paintings, cd's, accessories to t-shirts.

Getting 250 pairs for kids and 250 pairs for adults ready for distribution today at Brgy. 62-B Sagkahan, Tacloban City. Thanks to Sigma Iota Fraternity and Beta Rho Sorority who volunteered themselves today to help distribute!

Among the first batch of recipients for our Lucky Feet Fundraiser were 600 kids at Cabuynan Elementary School in Tanauan, Leyte. Watch out for the videos of them telling their stories.
