in NAUX which is more worth the pull(s)? The falling price deal for Vexen or Key Art #16? (in my case I have about 10000 jewels because I really needed Master Ava...)

They’re both good honestly. >_> Key Art 16 EX [S] deal is good in NA KHUX because the medals you are guaranteed to get in that draw includes Replica Riku HD ver. [P] which is a tier 8 copy medal that copies the medal set before it, so an upgraded version of the copy key arts or Oogie [P]. You can never go wrong with pulling for copy medals honestly. Zack HD [S] is also very good as well since he is the only non EX medal to give UDD so far in the game. Also, Key Art 16 EX [S] is really good on fairy stars. My ideal keyblade set up on Fairy Stars with KA 16 [S] would be DA Copy medal, Kairi EX [M], Aqua EX [M], HD Xion [P], KA 16 EX [S], and HD Replica Riku [P]. With this set up, you’ll get +30% guilt, UAU+6, and enemy UDD-6 along with the other buffs maxed out.

Vexen + [P] is a good turtling medal, and you’ll need it for future New Org. XIII events. You basically had to turtle the Xaldin Org. XIII Event JP KHUX had last month, as well as RNG that Xaldin didn’t release the critical damage. If you don’t have Ava EX [M] or Chicken Little [M] from VIP deals already, maybe Vexen+ [P] is the better medal to go for just in case for future Org. XIII events.

I’ve recently come back to the game after about a year and a half and I was wondering what’s the best way of (trying) to get Kairi EX?

In NA KHUX there is currently a 1 draw a day deal where you have a chance to get Kairi EX [M]. 

In JP KHUX, there is no way you can get Kairi EX [M] unless they decide to release her again. :/ You’re better off waiting until they release the new Kairi medal honestly.

have you beat Xaldin in the new Organization XIII event?? what are your strategies???

I have not beaten all 13 mission yet! However, I did find set ups that did get to me round 10!! 

For those who want to defeat Xaldin, we have spots open in Team Daybreak if you need a DA Chicken Little with Defense Boost L 100% as partner medal! If you have twitter, please DM Xiion to temporarily join the Leopardos party Team Daybreak (you’ll be added to the party most quickly this way)! Or, DM me on tumblr and I’ll ask Xiion to add you to the party. Make sure to give us your player name and ID! Of course, if there are other parties with a DA Chicken Little with Defense Boost L 100% in other unions and are willing to let other players in temporarily to complete the Xaldin Event, please comment below who to contact to temporarily join their party!

If anyone has set ups with no DA copy medals or WOL [P], feel free to submit your deck so I can share it too!

Tips I have to fight Data Xaldin:

You must have a medal with Guard Up L 100% up to mission 10

You must have a medal with Defense Boost XL and Defense Boost L 100% for Mission 11 and onwards

+800 HP trait will help you out a lot

If you have WOL [P], use that medal because you can take down Data Xaldin a lot faster

HD Zexion [M] will help a lot too for turtling

You’ll have a better chance completing the missions when you have lvl 5 pet for the extra second chance

It is also based on RNG that Data Xaldin’s dragon attack is not critical

Round 1~10

You will most definitely survive the attacks with this set up, but do note that it will take like an hour and a half to defeat Xaldin (it took me 138 turns for this round with that set up). You can also use this set up for round 1 to 10 if you want but I don’t recommend it because it takes FOREVER. Defense Boost L 100% is no longer enough by round 11, so you need Defense Boost XL in order to survive the dragon attacks.

Round 12 & 13 (?)

I am currently testing this set up for round 13. Round 12 is definitely based on RNG that you survive as much of the dragon attacks with Defense Boost XL as much as possible.

UPDATE: That set up works for round 13 too. Took me 39 turns. Just pray to RNGensus that the Dragon Attack doesn’t occur too often.

sorry about forgetting which version on the hd van ask, remembered after - na. has there been any use for tier 2 medals in upcoming jp events or can i dump them all once max guilted (if nova even matters anymore?) maybe even dump tier 3s?

No worries! It served as a general reminder too: the meta is still vastly different.

Tier 3 and below are mostly useless, but the stronger (buffing) ones should be kept in case of events like the Phil Cup! You don’t want to run into surprises.. However, if you’re low on inventory space, you can start throwing out the Tier 1 and 2 soft hitters and non-buff medals. I would definitely keep tier 3 for that purpose: raw hitters and buffing medals of T3 are your best bet during phil cups, though i’ve seen some creative uses of T2 medals before, it’s situational.

Nova definitely matters, but throwing away max guilted medals doesn’t affect your Nova.

Appreciate the guide and the insight, it's helped me for sure. I have 2 HD Vanitas, one guilted to 169 I could mirror (trait sleep res) and one 3dotted. The 3 dotted is the boosted ver, do you think I should combine the guilted into the 3dot or MnB it and forego the trait? And I got some 3/4/5 max skills, which should I put on? I got HD Name maxed already with no skill yet.

I recommend waiting for a guilting campaign and then using the SB HD Vanitas [P] as a base. It’ll reset the guilt and also give you another shot at the trait. Besides, SB is nice! 

Simply put, sacrifice your guilted HD Vanitas [P] and merge it into the SB HD Vanitas [P].

Definitely save your M&B for another medal, like an EX. Of course, that also depends on whether you’re playing global or JP.. please mention it next time!

[JP KHUX] FFRK Challenge Event for 3000 Jewels!

March 1, 2018 ~ March 9 2018

There is only one mission for this event, and all three objectives is to clear with no continue! It seems traits make a difference in this event, especially DA and -60% enemy defense.

Assumptions for Deck Set Ups

If not stated, we assume the following about the set up:

Medals are max guilted

Medals are max Chip’d and Dale’d (+1k attack and +1k defense)

Medals do not have status bonus

Burst/Nova was not used

So for tier 5 and tier 7 we got a new Kairi soon after those tier's were official. Nothing for tier 6 like that happened, think we're safe to wait until tier 9 to try for Kairi again?

Sometimes there’s a delay with the “new kairi” depending on how powerful she is and how much the meta advances.

KHUX JP has just been introduced to “EX KAI” also known as EX revised/remastered, which is essentially an EX medal with the same properties but more power/buffs than the original. The first one to be reintroduced like this again was Sephiroth EX KAI [P]

I don’t want to concern anyone, but I think that we may just be seeing EX KAI versions of all relevant EX medals, as well as the buffing queens Kairi EX [M] and Xion EX [M]. Right now, that’s the only real way I can see them improve prime EX buffing medals with. But, if they’re starting with Sephiroth EX KAI [P], that means it’ll be a while before we see KAI versions of for example Kairi EX [M] and Xion EX [M]. That’s under the assumption SEJP will be somewhat chronological with their approach.

I can’t give a time estimate for the reintroduction, this is all a guess to begin with, but that’s something we should keep in mind.

(*´◒`*) Hello Anon!!! Long time no see!!!

I’m afraid i’ve been swept away as I’m currently graduating, meaning my focus is on that. I do still help and tweet out info on my twitter  (ShioOuji_KHUX), but I left the blog in Lucky’s capable hands. Lucky and I still discuss the game, and I help out behind the scenes, though! So I’m always here, somewhat.

Additionally, I’ve been kind of struggling to get back into KHUX.I only recently got Kairi ex. This essentially stopped me from getting ANY medals since the anniversary, because I was saving and failing to get her. (My most recent splurge was the new TWEWY KA from some weeks ago.) 

Two lovely friends force-gifted me the VIP pack with Kairi ex, but I spent 80K jewels on her before that (didn’t get her). Otherwise I still would NOT have gotten her.I’m feel like i’m quite behind on the meta, truthfully. I’m sure it’s not as bad as I think, but I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things. For what it’s worth, I try to keep an eye on the blog and I hope to be fully back by the time summer hits! I should have my bachelor by then~

I’ll try to be around more, maybe I can relieve Lucky during the weekends :3c

Probably? JP KHUX is bound to get a new world soon since we *finally* finished Uuuuuuggghhhhrabah (Agrabah). //Finally out of that desert hell.

We get a new keyblade each time a new world is introduced! So we will probably get a reverse version of Fairystars? Who knows!

Hello, quick question: if an EX medal released in JP doesn't come with a mercy, when it comes out in NA, will it not have a mercy as well?

I guess you could say that seems to be the trend? So far almost alll the EX medals that came with a mercy in JP KHUX happened in NA KHUX as well. The only time that NA KHUX got a mercy for an EX medal that JP KHUX did not is Xion Illustration EX.

The objective for story quest 782 are:

Defeat all the enemies in 1 turn

Open all the chests (including the HP and SP ones)

Use at most 10 special attacks

(NAUX) So I need a good/strong speed medal or two because all of mine are really outdated, I don't have Master Ava, but are there any other ones you would recommend or keep an eye out for? 😳

I’d probably say Ventus EX [S] right now is a decent speed premium to go for since he is multi-target, so he’ll have the most use overall (i.e. lux gathering, coliseum, events, etc). In terms of multiplier, DiZ Illustration [S] is better since he is random target, but he was given out as a HSE medal. For raids specifically, Master’s Armor [S] is best since the multiplier goes up based on how much lux is gathered, and gives UAU+1 for 2 turns. However, Master’s Armor [S] is not good for coliseum. HD Zack [S], is tempting honestly, because he gives UAU+1 and enemy UDD-1 for the turn, but since he is not an EX medal, I think we can expect to see a better EX version of HD Zack [S].

I’m also keeping an eye out for a good speed medal as well, and those would be speed medals that are probably worth getting if you can have them guilted, especially Ventus EX [S] IMO since he increases the guilt by 30% for the turn.

Hey guys, NAUX question! The newcomer's and top-drawer deals are out, and I have no intention of pulling from the latter, but I was wondering if I should from newcomer's. I have sky, bonds, and beginning from when they were released, but none of them are guilted, and I only have enough m&b's right now to guilt one of them. Should I do a couple pulls from newcomer's or hold out hope that we'll get a copy medal banner?

Well, here is my opinion of the draws in general:

Top-Drawer Deal

While you save 200 jewels each time you draw from this, I still think the falling price deal for Kairi EX [M] is a better deal because there is a guaranteed aspect. So possibly, you can draw everyday for months on end from this deal but never get Kairi EX [M] or Xion Illustration EX [M]. The rates to get the EX medals from this deal is only slightly higher than the falling price deal, but I’d spend the jewels on the falling price deal while it is still around. Players should only draw from this if they haven’t obtained Kairi EX yet once the FP deal is over because this is the only way for new players to obtain Kairi EX [M], which is the new meta.

I do want to point out that you cannot get boosted version of KH2 Kairi Illustration  [M], KH 0.2 Kairi [S], HD Namine [M], and KH 2 HD Namine [M]. Also, notice that KH2 Namine’s [M] rate of being drawn is lower than the other 3 non-EX medals.

Newcomer’s Deal

If you do not have a copy key art or a copy medal, I definitely recommend players to draw from this at least once! Otherwise, I would recommend players to draw from this occasionally! Do not spend all your jewels you have right now on this draw! Don’t forget that this deal is here permanently! This is a good draw to make once in a while in hopes of getting double attack (DA) copy medal! For those of you who are starting, I recommend guilting the copy key arts ASAP! Probably the most priority on the magic copy key art because it can be utilized on more keyblades than power or speed.

My opinion for you, Stepichu and other veteran NA KHUX players, I also doubt NA KHUX will release a copy banner now or any time soon, especially because the copy key arts are now part of a permanent banner. If you are using the copy key arts to get triple Kairi EX [M] and you’re surviving the game just fine, then there is no reason to spend all your jewels to have the copy key arts guilted, especially if you have higher guilt tier premiums guilted. I’d honestly only draw from this deal occasionally is so that I could unlock DA on the copy medal. Do not spend all of your jewels on this deal at once!! Only pull occasionally if you can afford it!  If you do have a lack of guilted medals with a higher guilt tier than the copy Key Arts, then I do recommend having the key arts guilted since it’ll help you in the long run since you can finally have a guilted medal that the guilt can be applied to other premiums. Also, I recommend keeping the traits DA, -60% ground enemy defense, -60% aerial enemy defense, and +40% raid boss damage. Do note that -60% enemy defense and DA do not stack if you unlock them on the same medal. That’s to say if you get -60% ground enemy defense twice as a trait, it will only stay at -60% ground enemy defense and not 120% ground enemy defense.

HI Lucky! I know you answered recently about what upcoming medals NA people should wait for (we should wait for Riku Illustration EX [M]), but what do you think about the EX Aqua/EX Terra/ EX Ven medals?? Are they worth saving up for? Thanks for all the help!

Terra EX [P], Ventus EX [S], and Aqua EX [M] (I’ll just call them the ATV EX medals), all give an additional +30 % guilt for the turn. So far, they are the only medals in the game to increase the guilt for the turn. However, there is a downside to this ability: the +30% guilt that ATV EX medals give does not stack. For example, if you use Aqua EX [M] and copied her with a copy medal, you will only get a +30% guilt increase. The same thing happens if you use Terra EX [P] then followed by Ventus EX [S], you will only get a +30% guilt increase for the turn. While this is a new ability and technically a new buff, the reason why I don’t think the ATV EX medals is that worth it is because the guilt increase doesn’t stack. So if you use a copy medal with ATV EX, multiple ATV EX in your deck, or ATV EX medal with DA, you won’t increase your potential damage output if it was other types of buffs that hasn’t been maxed out yet, such as UAU or UDD, because the +30% guilt doesn’t stack, whereas the other buff does. This is why I think Riku Illustration EX [M] is a better medal to go for, compared to ATV EX, because the UDD buff stacks, so if you copy Riku Illustration EX [M], you can get UDD-4 which will deal more damage than +30% guilt. In other words, Riku Illustration EX [M] would still be relevant if you can have a copy medal or DA on Riku Illustration EX [M] because the buff stack. Not only that, the ATV EX medals can EASILY be outdated once they release a medal that increase the guilt more than 30%.

However, I don’t think Riku Illustration EX [M] is worth getting… The only downside to Riku Illustration EX [M] is that Riku Illu. EX’s [M] multiplier is rather low, similar to the gen 3 EX medals (Riku Art version EX [P], Marluxia Illustration EX [M], and Sora&Riku Illustration EX [S]) and this generation of EX medals was outdated very quickly with Kairi EX [M] and the Foreteller EX…and I am afraid the same thing would happened with Riku Illustration EX [M] as well… I guess to further confirm this, HD Zack [S], a regular premium, is going to be UAU+1 and enemy UDD-1 for the turn, so that means we can probably expect a new Kairi with enemy UDD as well, and I wouldn’t be surprised if SEJP also gave the new Kairi a guilt increase ability. I skipped Riku Illustration EX [M] because I am gambling on the fact he’ll be outdated easily as the gen 3 EX medals with the new Kairi (but also because he was not guaranteed in 15 draws and I was waiting for an upright speed version).

JP KHUX 2018 Valentine’s Day Event

This year, JP KHUX decided to have players give and receive Chocolate Micky&Minnie medals! 

You can only give 1 Chocolate Mickey&Minnie medal to 1 player, but a player can receive multiple chocolate Mickey&Minnie medal.

For those of you that need to find a buddy, give me your name and ID on this google doc, and I’ll pair players up! I will stop accepting IDs on 2/12 at 10 pm JST (2/11 at 5 am PST). I will pair players up by 2/13 at 12 pm JST (2/12 8 pm PST). Please check back at that time to change your message with the paired person’s ID! I’ll make a tweet on luckykhuxguide twitter when I’ve finished pairing players!

How It Works

In your message (the white speech box on the profile), write a message and the player’s ID! Do note that it can only fit 20 characters! Make sure the format is -message- ID#. Make sure there is no space between ID and the number! Example: いつもありがとう ID2540765
