Uploaded these to Twitter and Instagram the other day but I completely forgot to put them on Tumblr. Critical Role had been a phenomenal positive impact on my life, so after escaping the confines of academia, Vax was the first big project I turned to. Liam, as well as the rest of the cast, created a character that carried me through difficult times. I’m planning on bringing this back to Anime Boston in oh my god it’s in two weeks what the heck, and I hope to run into as many Critters, old and new, as possible!!

I’m really bad at staying consistent apparently, but I’m finally working on a cosplay instagram and ‘sailorcosmoscosplay’ was way too clunky, since my end goal is just making friends, not achieving any sort of cosplay fame? So that’s the explanation for Yet Another name change. Once I get pictures from my Vax shoot at Katsu, I’ll finalize the new instagram and find all my con friends!!

WOW gosh and golly, it’s been over a year since I used this tumblr. Suffice it to say that academia absolutely killed me because I don’t think I even posted anything from last Anime Boston, and I didn’t even properly cosplay to ANext, Flamecon, or PAXU. 

I’m doing Critical Role hell this con, so keep an eye out for me as Vax on Thursday/Sunday and Jester on Saturday!! Friday is a weird situation so I will be ghosting as Mimkyuu (pretend.... i’m funny....) more likely than not. 

I’m excited to see all my friends again!!

Cosplay Tip:

If you’re always “playing it safe” with costume choices, challenge yourself with a difficult costume; one that will really encourage you to learn something new.

Unexpectedly, I’m missing Otakon for the second year in a row, and I’m going to be out of the country for NYCC, so this sounds like it’s it for new 2016 cons!

Some notes:

Juliet (Red Whirlwind) was finished but never worn out of sheer exhaustion, but it’s something I definitely hope to break out properly.

The Kotori cosplay worn was from the unidolized Marine set instead of constellation, but honestly this was a placeholder for any ol’ Kotori cosplay. This was also the only one that I did not make personally. 

Haruka was done as part of the Lolita group at Sakura Sunday

Unplanned cosplays I finished were Hakuryuu Ren, Atsushi Nakajima, and Gunilla (Magnus Chase).

That makes nine cosplays finished in the first half of the year, in addition to schoolwork! I do plan to finish a lot of these unfinished ones eventually, but since the rest of the cons I wanted to do this year are off the books, I’m going to do a hard restart here and get started on what I want to do in 2017.

I will be posting WIPs as I work into the rest of the year!

katsucon was an absolute blast and i’m so happy i got to see everyone!! pics will be uploaded as they’re edited, but wind-down week is just as busy as the wind-up. i hope everyone stayed warm during the evacuation!!
