And now on this week's episode of
✨️I have an idea that I think would make a cool fanfic but haven't got the skill to write it✨️
So there's this book, The Gashlycrumb Tinies by Edward Gorey. It's set out like a kid's alphabet book, but it's incredibly morbid. The artwork alone is creepy, like...
But anyway, each page is a child who's name starts with a different letter of the alphabet, and a way that child dies
Really creepy
Now, what if that book found its way into teen wolf.
No one could work it out, kids in beacon hills just started dying. The first death seemed like a tragic accident, like "did you hear (idk random name) Alexa Hill (lets go with that) fell down the stairs," "yeah man, it's terrible." It was the same with the second, and even the third. But it kept happening, these deaths were piling up. The thing was, there was nothing linking them, they didn't know each other, they were all under 20 but different ages, and each death was so random, from the mundane, fell down the stairs, drowned in a lake, to really the horrific, one was drained of blood somehow, supposedly by leeches, another struck with an axe. They just could not see any patterns, they'd be almost certain it was something supernatural, but other than that, they had nothing, it was driving them all mad.
They were on tragic accident number eleven now.
Now, before this all started happening, someone, probably Malia, idk why, she just seems like the type to me, would have found this book in some thrift store or other, and she thought it was interesting, so bought it. She hadn't looked at it much since she got it, it was just sort of there. Fast forward now back to tragic accident eleven, stiles is with Malia, and he finds this book, and of course he has to look at it, it's really short, seems like a kids book, but it's so morbid. He's reading through it, taking the mick out of malia for actually liking something like this, but as he's reading it, something about it feels eerily familiar, it's strange, "F is for Fanny sucked dry by a leech," shouldn't feel familiar to him.
He keeps reading, gets to "K is for Kate who was struck with an axe."
Stops.
Tragic accident number eleven, (another random name) Ken Johnston, was killed with an axe.
He flicks back to the start of the book and rereads, actually paying attention now. The first page is A, fell down the stairs. There was Alexa Hill who died falling down her stairs. There's F, sucked dry by a leach, and oh my god, that was one of the more horrific ones, Frankie Williams (I'm really struggling with these names) found drained of all blood a few weeks ago. This is it, this is the pattern. Eleven deaths, each victim's name starting with a different letter of the alphabet, A to K, all dying in order as the book says.
And now they've got their pattern, they can actually do something, they can try and work out who could be next, if they're on K then L would be next... oh wouldn't it be more interesting if Lydia was intended next, or it could also link to last names, so maybe Isaac could be next? And perhaps it could be some kind of curse tied to the book, or maybe some kind of ritual? idk, I haven't thought that far ahead, I just thought it was a cool idea. But if anyone with better writing abilities and more patience than me does want to do anything with this idea, please lmk, I'd love to read it
