Okay this is just a question because your intro doesn’t really elaborate in the slightest on this part, this isn’t me trying to be rude but what do you classify as ‘problematic’ fandoms. All fandoms have problematic people, I just wanna know your criteria for it.

Would something like Creepypasta fall under it because of the history of the fanbase even though it’s pretty chill and calm now? Or are we only talking about current and ongoing problems like the Wilbur Soot drama?

I believe asking for clarification is quite fair; and as for specifics and criteria, I look at a handful of things, mostly in regards to the content itself as a focus when concerning problematic media, with notice to the community if it seems to be of large concerning content. media which I label as problematic displays, usually, questionable or concerning materials. using your example, I typically do not go towards the minecraft focused creators for personal editing preferences of not editing real people, but also for its problematic history in the scene overall involving its creators. creepypasta, which I unfortunately do not know much of, would most likely end up in my personal discomfort categories regardless, though the history of its fanbase may influence my choice if I so choose to look into it. my criteria is a bit confusing to word, but in short, it is more influenced on the history of the media itself and what is featured in the media.
