Oh, empty my heart I've got to make room For this feeling
it does kind of gut me that when the Pevensies find the lamppost (the second time, before they return to England), itâs Susan (Susan who was so cautious about entering Narnia in the first place) who says they should turn around and go home (to the Cair) ⌠Susan wanted to stay most of all ⌠I canât help but like the way the movies portray the sense of displacement and even a little bit of betrayal the siblings feel ⌠I know Lewis wanted to soften the blow but making Narnia seem more ephemeral when youâre out of it, but in the later installments he shies away less and less from how upsetting it is for the friends of Narnia to depart it ⌠and oh, Susan ⌠đ
(After entering Narnia). âI â I wonder if thereâs any point in going on,â said Susan. âI mean, it doesnât seem particularly safe here and it looks as if it wonât be much fun either. And itâs getting colder every minute, and weâve brought nothing to eat. What about just going home?â
(After feeling a sense of foreboding when looking at the lamppost). âWherefore by my counsel we shall lightly return to our horses and follow this White Stag no further.â
Once a king and queen of Narnia, always a king and queen of Narnia

This is an in-between piece, although honestly... I expected this to be the end, but my teacher told me to make another version.đ

⨠HAPPY WORLD ART DAY!! â¨
SAY HELLO TO MY VERY FIRST ART STYLE featuring Jill Pole from the last few chapters of The Last Battle (1956) by C. S. Lewis.
The reason I havenât made much art lately is that Iâve been having an art crisis. I got tired of my 2024â2025 art style, and the Arcane-inspired one doesnât feel like âme.â Then one evening, I decided to browse photos of Pre-Raphaelite paintings and fell in love with them. So I decided to create something inspired by them while still staying true to myself. And yeahâthis is what came out of it.
Unsolicited Life Update: I recently joined a Narnia zine, where I volunteered to draw all the icons. Iâve also been reading The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien. I have Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, but I havenât started it yet.

at the edge of the world, beyond the silver sea.
âHe never talks about it, but we all know he has never forgotten that voyage to the world's end. I'm sure in his heart of hearts he wants to go there again.â - The Silver Chair, C.S Lewis.
