I sat alone, in bed till the morning I’m crying, “They’re coming for me” And I tried to hold these secrets inside me My mind’s like a deadly disease
Gia sang along with her eyes closed, swaying to the music as she stood close to the back of the crowd watching Halsey preform. They were lyrics she connected with on a very personal level and she was so lost in the song she didn’t realize at first that someone had come up behind her, arms going around her middle and a body pressing against her back as she swayed.
The potions she’d taken mixed with the alcohol had dulled her mind down, slowing the world down around her and after a few moments she untangled herself from the person, turning to face a man she didn’t recognize. “I don’t like being touched, I’m sorry,” she said with a polite smile. He grinned at her and pulled her back to him, making Gia frown slightly. “No thank you,” she said again pushing at him. As soon as she untangled herself once again, that small voice of reason told her to leave while she still could.
She made her way through the crowd and out of the way, taking a long breath. She needed some water. She waited for the ground to stop moving before she stumbled on her way toward the drink tents to get a bottle of water. Normally she would have paid more attention to if she was being followed, but in her current state she felt very little caution. Not noticing the man from the crowd breaking away, his eyes on her as he followed behind.

These were the kinds of things that always had Lucy on her toes. While those around her chose to indulge in drinking and fun, Lucy was addicted to looking for the seedier side in all of this. She’d already pummeled a vampire who had gone too far drinking from some witch, almost leaving the poor guy died in a ditch and now here she was standing towards the back of the crowd watching the several different scenes before her. The one that caught her attention though was Gia Rafferty and a man who appeared to be getting far too handsy with her.
Watching as Gia separated herself from the man, Lucy’s attention was fully on the man as he stalked Gia through the crowd. Slipping from her spot she followed behind him a few leagues gauging the situation before something inside of her snapped. Maybe it was the look in his eye or the fact that he was getting far too close to Gia for her comfort but Lucy sprung into action almost instantly. Grabbing a nearby towel off some guy dancing around drunkenly she strung it around her hand before wrapping it around his neck and flipping him over so he lay flat on the ground. This scene naturally caused a commotion among those around her and when she caught Gia’s eyes she smiled sheepishly but there was nothing innocent about it. “Was this guy bothering you?” Lucy asked her hand on her hip as her foot came down on his chest when he tried to get up. “Because he’s bothering me.” She said scowling down at him
