Write however you want. Or don't. You'll still have the same outcome.
ㅤㅤI saw someone rant and get pissed over the way other shifters script or talk about their DR self in the third person, “as if it’s their OC.” It's such a non-issue. !!OTHER!! Shifters have different ways of expressing their experiences, and just because someone writes about their DR self in a way you wouldn’t, it doesn’t make it wrong or disrespectful. If you can’t handle other people’s opinions about it, maybe it’s better not to post at all. There’s a better way to phrase your concerns more constructively without invalidating someone else’s experience. Simply stating that you’ve shifted doesn’t automatically make your perspective the only valid one, nor does it define or limit how others experience shifting. Because I, myself have written most of my experiences in third person and it does not affect me or my journey in shifting in any way.
ㅤㅤEveryone’s reality is personal, and everyone has their own method. How you write about yourself doesn’t have to match anyone else’s, and that’s the beauty of it. Whether you describe your DR self in first person, third person, or any style you like, the outcome is still the same. It’s still you, and it works for you. You're shifting. Writing differently from others doesn’t make your experience superior or inferior.
ㅤㅤThe key is to remember that this is your reality. You have full control over how you experience it, how you write about it, and how you share it. Nobody else can dictate that for you. So write however you want, however it feels right, and don’t let someone else’s style or opinion shake your confidence. In the end, it’s your reality.
ㅤㅤI know that shiftblr is just yelling this to you time and time again but I'm gonna hold your pepperoni nipples for this one. Remember that you don’t have to script just to shift. A lot of people think that unless they meticulously plan every scenario, every major event, every little detail of their DR self, they won’t be able to reach their desired reality, but that’s not true. Your brain already knows what you want, even if you haven’t written it down. Shifting isn’t about forcing your mind to follow a rigid script, it’s about aligning your consciousness with your intentions and letting your mind naturally fill in the details.
ㅤㅤScripts can be useful as a guide, especially if you feel more comfortable having structure, but they are not mandatory. Over-relying on them can create pressure or frustration when things don’t go exactly as planned. Your brain already has a blueprint of your desires, your environment, your DESTINED self, it’s just waiting for you to focus and trust it. Even the tiniest thought, feeling, or mental image about your DR can set your mind in motion toward that reality.
ㅤㅤㅤㅤToodles! P.S. This is just my mindset and opinion speaking lolz. Constructive criticism is welcome, as I still have a lot to learn and ways to educate myself on shifting.
