I know this is like 99.9% certain one of Lestat's muses and not the spirit of Paul visiting Lestat as he's dying, but that adorable perplexed look at this comment is hilarious to contemplate on the face of actual former homophobe and religious traditionalist, now ghostly death doula Paul de Pointe du Lac. He's come to terms in the afterlife with Louis being gay and married to a vampire and recognizes Lestat as his soul mate, but this is brand new shiny information and he's not judging, but he's not sure how to respond.
