The 3rd Gen Prelude was the first Honda to use the revolutionary 4WS (Four Wheel Steering) in a production car from ‘88-91. Mechanically operated, the rear wheels turn opposite of the front wheels in small increments to achieve a tighter turning radius. To show how effective this was, Road & Track did a test with the lude outperforming every car of that year on the Slalom, including all Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Porsches.
