PJO Headcanon:
Percy would be obsessed with Moana. He'd especially love "You're Welcome" and would go around singing, "I know it's a lot, the hair, the bod, when you're starin' at a demigod"
Literally cannot wait for all the 'Percy being a mood for 11 minutes & 20 seconds' and 'Grover being the sole braincell of the trio for 5 minutes and 46 seconds' compliations that are uploaded to YouTube when the show comes out, who's with me
Can you spare a minute to help this campaign?
It's so easy, and though I am not a huge fan of the show, it would be GREAT to have it back.
Okay, what should I read after Lockwood and Co?
I have yet to find a series that captures the emotion, relationship, and witty essence that Lockwood and Co had. I seriously need a spooky story to read that has teenagers and a GREAT subploted romance.
Love, live, and breathe Lockwood <3
Absolutely disGUSTING and TRAGIC that when I LOVE A BOOK I read it and after I read it the book is DONE
hehehe
hehehehehehe
Heheheheh
HEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHE
*Literally just smirks like a maniac*
I'm totally convinced this is what Lucy and Lockwood wore in the first chapter of TSS.
I am also convinced they accidentally matched and didn’t even notice until later on.
soldier poet king is so roden, tobias, and jaron coded and in that order
That's what I've been saying!!
Lockwood & Co. books are for children 9 to 11yrs?? I refuse to believe it!! Children would never understand the significance of L&C!!
you are so right op. okokok listen to me. maybe i’m just using this as an excuse to scream about l&co, but so be it.
it's not even just the horror. it's not even just the death and the work and the childhood used against you, not even the bad things that kids reading won't understand the weight of. there’s plenty out there with violence kids see. you know it.
it's the emotion poured in that overflows off the pages in a way like nothing else, in a real way, that perhaps a child could not understand and more importantly that someone grown should never cast aside because of the age label.
im gonna go off on a tangent now kinda, and idk if everyone will agree with me in what i’m going to say, but this is.. ugh idk words i’m tired lol you can just read on
anyways.
look me in the eyes and tell me the journey between Lockwood and lucys relationship meant nothing to you. that it was shallow, that it was like every other work of children's fiction. that it couldnt mean the world if you really thought about it like you would adult literature, and damnit, did 'a world without him, i couldn't run' not punch you in the fucking gut? a world without who? this mess of a boy you should have just given up on? but she didn’t. holy shit.
lucy and lockwood holding hands in an understood silence nobody else could offer, lucy and lockwood learning each other, lucy and lockwood lucy and lockwood i don’t even just mean locklyle i mean lucy and lockwood.
a messed up boy and a messed up girl holding hands in a messed up city and theyre happy and theyre healing and so could everything else eventually and the thing is they were the only ones who could do any of that at all.
something about a little freak learning to love UNDERSTAND another, different, little freak when nobody else knew how, even if it was hard, blah blah i could go on about that forever and maybe i will
sometimes i think about them so long it hurts my head.
you’re right op. a child that young might not understand the significance. it’s not their fault ofc, they’re 8 years old, but it is still something most often true.
(also, you guys have no idea how important that silence is to me. or maybe you do. i hope you do.)
it has so much depth that'll go over a child's head. I'm touching on the characters specifically the two Ls lol, because they mean so much to me personally, but the rest as well most definitely.
so no, Lockwood and Co is not only a children's series. (which isn’t bad on its own either.) maybe a child wouldn't understand at all. but I don't mean the ghosts. I mean the message stroud put in these books that just sneaks up on you when you never would have expected it, the characters that walk and breathe long after the book is closed, the emotion so damn real ive never seen a ‘kids book’ like before or after.
sorry if this makes no sense i’m going to go to bed now.
tldr lockwood and lucy’s relationship can be so incredibly important and meaningful actually
Lockwood & Co. books are for children 9 to 11yrs?? I refuse to believe it!! Children would never understand the significance of L&C!!
younger me: ooo! ghost hunters!
me now: the children.. forced to work jobs where their lives are at risk so that the rich people can go on living their lives and partying without a second thought. the children.. not even able to trust the people who were supposed to be keeping them safe. the psychological impact that seeing these ghosts, witnessing these horrible tragedies, and even in some cases reliving the atrocities that happened to these dead people. the children..
Not sure if someone said this in the past, but imagine the comedic relief if Errol continued believing that Jaron was Sage throughout the series
Why do I feel like Jaron and Imogen would randomly try to do advanced couples' yoga poses on a whim?
No, bc I see it!! They would!
Can we just appreciate the name 'Lockwood and Co.'??? Like, L&C is a very efficient and proper name for a Company BUT it literally explains L&C. Lockwood and his company (friends) slaying all day.
I’m going to kill whoever localised the L&co books for the US, they changed the vibe completely in the moment where Lockwood realises Lucy’s injured.
US version:
It’s giving alarm and concern and yeah, it’s nice, it’s lovely. But now look at the UK version:
Two little words and suddenly it’s giving that feral, infinitely superior “who did this to you? I’ll kill them” energy. US readers were robbed.
I HAVE BEEN ROBBED!!! Tell me who did this. I just want to talk.
