Temp title. Inspired by the line, “Now you hang from my lips like the gardens of Babylon.” That line always made me think. Until I thought up a book about a heartbroken girl searching for a secret paradise known to no other. It’s a psychological horror novel lol.

Fanfic is a great way to practice self-indulgence while writing. It doesn’t even have to be good, it just exists purely for your pleasure, be a little freak about it. Worry about quality and what other people think when it comes to works you intend to publish in a formal setting

Chapter 6 Progress Update

Hello, friends! Progress is HAPPENING so I thought it was time to share.

Chapter 6 is coming along much more quickly than I thought it would. It’s not too surprising, as I’ve been waiting over a year to write this chapter and I am extremely excited to share it! It’s also probably the most linear chapter of the game so far, aside from chapter 1. There are a lot of things that simply need to happen.

That’s not to say there won’t be any branching. There are some significant romantic moments with the ROs, and a lot of your previous choices will come into play in this chapter. While it may seem like there aren’t a lot of choices to be made, each playthrough should still feel like a unique experience.

It’s currently at 35k words, and I estimate I have another 5-10k left to write. I have two work conferences back to back in April that will prevent me from writing for two weeks. But since we’re so far along already, I’m fairly confident I can have this done by the end of April/early May for early access. At that point, I’ll need another 3-4 weeks to polish it up and add more flavor text. My goal is to have Chapter 6 out for public release by the end of May.

I can NOT express how giddy I am over this chapter, you guys! There are so many things happening here, moments I have been quietly sitting on since day one. Both MC and myself are gonna need a sabbatical after this! 😆

Gardening Writing #1

Hello and welcome to the first of its kind: 420 challenges based around writing!

So what's first? How does this work? Well, first a couple things:

--What WIP today? Plant Life!

--Who's fronting? Alexander and Al! Both he/him

--Flower or little guy? Little guy!

Now I need to roll a d6 and see what the list says!

Annnnnd I rolled 5. A hit for every 100 words

Now, I'm now not a fan of word count goals. It encourages the thinking that the numbers carry you forward, not the passion. I like scene goals and I like accepting when I don't meet them. Then I'll get my little dopamine hit.

However. A challenge is a challenge.

Hit and Note #0: i have to refill my hot tea in my taylor swift folklore mug

Hit and Note #1: oh my god how does my fiance do a blinker every time holy shit i am cough city

Little line #1:

"Gross." Bezzie crossed their arms. "Get lost, loser."

holy shit i finished the draft of my DID poetry collection. it's done. it's done??? 4 years ago I started something I never thought I'd finish. And now it's gonna need beta readers (both singlets and plural, no endos) and I have to learn amazon KDP and all this other shit and I'm so grateful but. i finished it. oh my god.
