Loki had been away for a while, traversing the nine realms with one goal in mind: Surprise his wife.
He had gone radio silent, through no fault of his own. There weren't messenger birds or even cellphone reception in some of the other realms, especially where he had been. He returned to the palace about three months after he initially set off on his mission.
In the royal gardens using his magic he set up orbs of golden light. Streams of gold from the dwarves were fashioned into a silk like consistency draped from the trees, they caught the golden light Loki had set up, sparkling against the starry night sky.
A table was filled with food of the dead from every after life he could find: bread, pomegranates, beef burgers, pan de muertas, sugar skulls, dates, figs, mead, wine and water.
Loki himself had cleaned up before sending the servants off to retrieve his wife. He was wearing his usual royal wear, and his hair had been smoothed back, an attempt to look as ravishing as possible.
He had taken flowers from Midgard, their petals led the way to him from the garden entrance. He was holding a large bouquet of flowers, which consisted of roses and marigolds. "Lady Luella Laufeyson, I have long awaited the moment I could gaze upon your ravishing face again!" He held the flowers out to her, "These are for you, though they pale in comparison to your beauty."
Luella had drafted divorce papers to scare Loki with about a month ago now. Now should one threaten the person who kept coming back, and saw them through an addiction? No absolutely not. But for all her growth Luella could still be quite petty and childish. Besides he disappeared for three months with no contact, and she was certain he faked his death once again. Luella had even switched from her husband’s color of green back to purple. The color of the court she hailed from.
To say she was shocked when she walked into the hard was no understatement. It was beautiful, dare she say peaceful? She almost felt bad about wearing purple, and not even a proper dress. Almost, Loki still disappeared without a word. It wasn’t even the first time he did it! She’d probably be less bitchy if it were a first.
“Loki,” she said bitterly as if she somehow wasn’t addressing her Husband. She uncrossed her arms showing him the papers. She had no idea of Divorce was even a thing in Asgard, or how the all father would take such petty behavior.
"Do you know what these are?” She asked trying to keep a sharpness to her tone. However in honesty she was never good at threatening him. He had a habit of melting her sharp and cold edges, "Can you guess why I have them?”
She didn’t reach of the flowers. Though admittedly she was thinking about it. No no she had to teach this idiot a lesson. He can’t just disappear on her like this!
