Social media has become a monster in itself as I have watched it transform over the years.

The generation today is born into it, while mine, as a 90s kid, watched it grow.

It is unbelievable with how incredibly insane Twitter has become extremely garbled with political stances, judgement and chaos. The same with Facebook. The whole point of these two outlets were a place to share thoughts and share our lives.

The same with Instagram. Now it’s this competitive uphill battle to be popular and to be the best and to be pretty and posed!

My goodness it’s like we’re something straight of the damn Stepford Wives (you need to watch that movie, it’s a great representation of what social media is). It’s like the world is laughing at us for mimicking and copying and being so into our phones instead of making true memories. Yes, it is great to be connected, however, well will we ever realize it’s too much?

I had to private all of my social media because it’s becomes something bigger than myself and at this moment I cannot handle it.

It’s overwhelming and hard and this is my chance to breathe.

For some reason Tumblr has been quiet, and I like it this way. Even if it is for now..
