These super frilly nightgowns for Seong-a is a styling choice that came from the manhwa but it isn't explained in the drama. After the Mama Shaman saved Seong-a, she was still training to be a shaman and had to wear shaman clothes during the day, but she envied the cute frilly clothes on other children. So whenever she was sad, Mama Shaman would buy her frilly nightgowns so at least she could wear her favourite clothes at night.

Maybe it will come up in the drama, but I thought that was very sweet in the comic so I wanted to share.

By the way, I know a lot of us were all "????" about Gyeon-u's bad luck, wondering whether it was a curse or something, but there was a blink-and-you-missed-it line by Yeomhwa in one of the later episodes where she says that his entire life has been miserable because he was absorbing all of his family's misfortune.

So that means that his family avoiding him like the plague weren't actually superstitious that his bad luck would rub off on them, they were afraid that their bad luck would return to them, where it belonged.

So, you know. There's that.
