Cannot go understated the amount of harm "pro-ship" communities pose to children online. NCCSA is a real and prevalent phenomenon. Just like "irl" CSA, it consists of adults who are in positions of power because of their age or other dynamics in-community abusing the trust their following allows them to their underage audience.

This is wrong because of the lasting trauma and effect on the child's mental, physical, and emotional well-being. If you were irrevocably changed due to coming across "pro-ship" content as a child, that is a lasting trauma and effect. Abuse becoming (further) normalized to you at a young age leads to approaching this very serious issue as a silly drama to be ignored and waved away.

It scared me, truly, to see this culture in action, fresh from incestual abuse, as a teen. It scares me now, witnessing the depth and scale of NCCSA on this platform and many other websites that refuse to do something in their moderation to prevent it.

It scares me, for every vulnerable and alone kid on the internet, that so many other adults refuse to disengage with children around kink or fetish content. That so many people see it as the responsibility of the parents, or the kids themselves, as they're simply too complacent in the normalized and systemic abuse of children to think they can take steps to end the cycle.

I see your reading comprehension is not the best. I never said fiction is reality, I simply said it affects it. Which is true. Consuming a lot of specific material will affect you in various ways depending on how you do it. I would give examples of how fiction very much affected reality many times but I already made a post about that, which I'm assuming you saw since you sent me an ask. Unless you just read antishipper in my url and wrote the ask without even looking at my blog beyond the post that says my age. But in case you haven't, here you go <3

And no I don't actually like horror games that much, weird thing to assume. And the few I do like, I don't find the messed up things happening in them hot. I was also a proshipper until I was 15. Since I was 7 years old with unrestricted internet access. And let me tell you it did very much affect me and I'm still struggling with being raised with content that normalized things like, for example, pedophilia and incest (since that's the 2 most common things I've noticed proshippers being into). Genuienly why are you afraid of a person who was messed up by proshippers speaking out on their experience. Also curious you mention actual adults. How about you go talk to your parents or a psychologist (if you have one), you know, actual adults, about what you are defending on the internet. Because I can guarantee most people irl would not support proshipping if they knew what exactly it is.
