It’s been more than 30 years since the name SWM (Speedy Working Motors) graced the pages of motorcycle publication headlines. It was once a prestigious Italian brand that manufactured trials, enduro and motocross bikes. SWM enjoyed success in European motocross and ISDT competition and was a major competitor to KTM throughout the 70’s. In 1984 the company came under hard times and went into liquidation, but the brand is still held in high esteem in Europe.

2017 KTM Six Days Enduro models, 300 EXC Two-Stroke (Top), 350 EXC-F Four Stroke (Bottom) KTM has ruled offroad for decades. The special edition SIX DAYS models celebrate this success with special performance upgrades and top-of-the-line components. In 2016 the ISDE (International Six Days Enduro) will be held in Navarra, Spain and the KTM model line-up has been suitably equipped to handle anything the dusty and rocky terrain can throw at it.

2016 Ducati Multistrada 1200 Enduro The new Multistrada 1200 Enduro takes travel into a new domain. 160 hp Ducati Testastretta DVT engine, 30-litre fuel tank, 19" front wheel, spoked wheels and 200 mm of wheel travel. However far, in whatever circumstance, Ducati technology, performance and comfort redefine the boundaries of every adventure. On the Multistrada 1200 Enduro, there's been no compromise on Ducati style and technology. Tested and developed under the most extreme conditions, the Multistrada 1200 Enduro features the excellent, hard-wearing Multistrada 1200 frame together with a new double-sided swingarm.

2016 Triumph Tiger 800 XCX The Tiger 800 XC has a more off-road bias and is available in two derivatives, the XC and range topping XCx. Both models have high levels of standard equipment with the XRx bringing more technology to the segment. Traction control and switchable ABS is as standard on all models delivering improved rider safety.

The 2016 Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin is equipped with tube tyres, wave-style brake rotors, rubber mounted aluminum handlebar and hollow aluminum axles. There isn’t any need to remove the fuel tank to access the air filters. Buffering at the highway speed is minimized by the big upright windscreen. The model also houses an instrument panel and bright LED headlights.

Triumph's big three-cylinder, 1215cc adventure-tourer lineup (six in all) was refreshed a great deal for 2016, and still split between the XR models aimed mostly at road use and XC bikes built to handle some dirt. Electrically adjustable windscreens, ABS, and traction control are standard on all of them. Higher-end versions with advanced electronics include semi-active suspension (to quickly adjust to road conditions and riding style), and inertial measurement units for lean-sensitive ABS operation.
