"you're serious?"
This school isn’t the hub for fun, Webb. Its not like I’m missing out.
I dunno. Being bored or just chillin' out is way better than stressing out and wanting to die.
Yeah, yeah, Webb, I know. It’s Senior year, I could a college Scholarship for Lacrosse and there’s that whole pesky school thing. I have my hands a bit full.
Exactly. It's senior year. Enjoy it, man. It's not like you won't get into college or anything. And you don't have to constantly worry about that shit. Take a break. Go out with a girl. Break a bone. Do something exciting.
Sorry, I wasn’t aware I was in the presence of the positive police. I’ve been working my ass off, forgive a little negativity, kid.
I'm a ray of fuckin' sunshine, Michael. You should be used to it. Why work so much? You're gonna die under pressure. Relax, bro.
Well I’m not dead, but, hey, you can’t get everything you wish for.
Woah. Negativity, man. What gives?
After Hours Walks || Paisley Jane and Luke
Paisley Jane threw her phone down onto the end of her bed as she pushed herself to an upright sitting position. Just as she was getting comfortable and warm, Luke had texted her, asking her to walk with him. Of course, she agreed because Luke was one of her best friends, but that doesn’t mean she was chipper about it. Pulling on her boots, Paisley Jane wrapped a scarf around her neck, pulled a jacket over her clothes, and tugged a beanie over her ears to keep her warm. Taking gloves and stuffing them into her jacket pocket just in case, Paisley Jane grabbed her phone from where she had thrown it earlier and added it to her pocket before heading out of her dorm room.
When she exited Bowen Hall, a cool rush of air hit her and she shivered quickly before pulling on her gloves. The temperature always dropped after the sun went down, and tonight was especially chilly. Trudging on the sidewalks, she was careful to keep her footing and watch for especially large ice patches so she didn’t slip and fall into one of the snowbanks that had accumulated on the side of the sidewalks. Soon enough, she arrived at Azure, where Luke roomed. Moving to one of the benches on the side of the walkway, Paisley Jane sat and began to rub her hands together, before sticking them in her pockets.
Luke had just finished up his homework and realized it was too late to go to the gym or the weight room which was rather unfortunate because he was incredibly antsy. He paced his room, staring out at the snow covered trees outside as he thought about what to do about his restlessness. Smirking, he pulled his phone out of his back pocket, knowing Paisley Jane couldn't resist missing a best-friend-date with him. After he got a 'yes', he went straight to his closet. He pulled on a long-sleeve shirt and tugged a flannel on over that. He topped it off with a heavy coat, a scarf, and a beanie. His bangs poked out from under there and he scrunched his nose at the sight of himself, still not used to the layers as he often wore shorts and a tank back home. He sighed and shook his head, stuffing his phone and his hands in his pockets as he left his dorm.
Jogging down the stairs, he felt a bit of excitement build in his stomach due to the fact that he'd genuinely missed Paisley Jane. He'd missed a lot of people at SMA, Micheal, Gemma, Kennedy, all of them, but he hadn't gotten to spend one-on-one time with his favorite southerner and it was killing him. He pushed the front doors of Azure open and cringed as he stepped out into the frigid air, almost regretting his decision immediately. He smiled and forgot all about it when he saw Paisley Jane sitting by herself on a bench, bundled up like a little kid who'd been dressed by their overprotective mother. "Well, Miss Hart," he said, bounding down the steps and over to her, "Don't look so damn happy to spend time with me." He sighed and nodded in the direction he planned on going in, "C'mon. The sooner you walk with me to get rid of my restlessness, the sooner you get your reward of hot chocolate for dealing with me." He smiled over at her, "How've you been?"

Paisley Jane: Oh really? Because I think you'd get quite a kick if I went sprawling on the ice.
Paisley Jane: Okay, fine. I'll be there.
Luke: Not when it's yoooooou. Okay I'd laugh a little bit. But I'd help you up.
Luke: Don't sound so excited. Damn.
Text: Paisley Jane
Paisley Jane: Well.. I won't anymore.
Paisley Jane: But it's cold out.
Paisley Jane: You're so lucky I love you enough to do this.
Luke: That's why I said bundle up! No worries. I won't let ya bust your butt on the ice.
Luke: That I am. Meet me in front of Azure in 15?
Text: Paisley Jane
Paisley Jane: I don't believe I respond to "ayo" or "Southern Belle".
Paisley Jane: A walk? To where?
Luke: But... But you just did.
Luke: Just around campus. I'm bored of my dorm. Bundle up, miss.
Text: Paisley Jane
Luke: Ayo, Southern Belle.
Luke: Let's go on a walk.
I guess you’re right, it would be a bit crowded. And it is a long drive to Santa Monica from here. But I think I’m already going nuts with all this snow. I’m out of my element.
I already promised myself that the first day it's warm enough, no matter what I have going down and no matter how cold the water is, I'm skipping out on school and heading straight for the waves.
Hmm, I don’t think Fellows would actually allow us to. But we could always try?
I think I could talk him into it. Bat my eyelashes. Pout a little. Oh wait... No that only works for girls. Maybe we'll just have to do it without him.
I just fell into a snowbank. The embarrassment hurts more than my butt does.
Oh my god. And I missed it?
That really sounds like a good idea to be honest. I’m in!
Good. Now we've just got to get everyone else in. Including Fellows. Think we can do it?
I am with you. I mean, it’d be better if we could just go back to Cali for a week or so — but I’ll take anywhere warm.
I agree. I am certainly missing home. I just don't think everyone could handle a bus ride cross country. I couldn't handle a bus ride across the country with everyone. We'd go nuts before we got there, Hailey!
