I keep seeing posts about a pet psychic on Instagram who claims she can communicate with pets. I'd like to believe that's true and idk if it is. But I also would really love to be able to talk to my cat.

Oh and I've also to go and repeat the glucose tolerance test for gestational diabetes next week because I have glucose in my pee 💀 hated it last time, sure I'll hate it this time too. I hope I don't have gestational diabetes because 90% of food already makes me feel ill and I don't know how I'll manage with limitations on what I can eat from the small selection of foods I can currently stomach. But then gestational diabetes normally means the baby ends up bigger so since mine is small, maybe they should just let me have it for a while and she'll grow a bit.
(I know that's probably not how it works but I'm also not a doctor)
I had a hospital appointment this morning which turned into me being there for three and a half hours because my heart rate and temperature are too high, I feel like crap a lot of the time, my chest infection is clearing up but I still feel rubbish, the baby is smaller than she should be (10th centile last time and has now dropped below that), and the doctor was talking to me about her potentially having to be born at 37 weeks (which is only 4 weeks away) if she drops down to the 3rd centile, which is riskier than waiting till 39 weeks because her lungs won't be developed properly. So I'm fed up of not being able to breathe properly even though my chest X ray now looks a lot better than the last one, and I'm worried the baby will have to come out early. I also talked to the doctor about having a c section rather than a vaginal birth and she was fine with it and listened to what i was concerned about, but did also say that babies are more likely to need help with their breathing when born via a c section and the risk of that goes up the earlier it's done which for me could happen if she continues to stay quite small. So now I feel like I'm being so selfish and making a bad choice for how I want to deliver the baby because it could be more dangerous for her but at the same time I've never considered doing it any other way and have a long list of things I'm terrified of about a natural birth, including being induced which I assume is how they'd get the baby out at 37 weeks if that needs to happen. I've to go for a scan next week to have some things checked and then again the week after to check her growth so I really hope she's grown a bit by then cause she's only like 2.5lbs at the moment which is very small.
I've had suuuuch a boring few days! Saturday night was good because we had friends round and got food and drinks (mine was passion fruit iced tea which I love atm). Yesterday we were both feeling lazy and literally lazed around for the full day, watched 4 episodes of a show we like, had multiple naps and went to bed at 9.30pm. Today I was potentially meeting one of my friends but now I'm doing that tomorrow instead. Today the things I've done include: a washing, a doctor's appointment, picking up a prescription, cleaning up cat sick, and clearing out the bathroom cupboards. So I did get stuff done but it hasn't exactly used any brain power and I feel like my brain is turning to sludge. Going to sew for a bit and listen to my book. I've been alternating between reading it and then listening to the audiobook version when I'm in the car or don't have my hands free to turn the pages.
@ my baby, pleeeease get out of my ribs.
My body is being weird in a number of pregnancy related ways and I won't expend because they're all tmi but I'm Feeling Odd.
you solve the mystery of what to have for dinner one night and you think "hell yeah case closed forever" WRONG there is a dinner mystery the next night too
I said the other day I'd started listening to an audio book on Spotify and was getting so close to the end of it today which was when I found out I get 15 hours of an audiobook per month included with Spotify rather than one book regardless of the length. My book was 16 hours long!!! I was almost done! Anyway I immediately downloaded the e book version to my iPad so I could finish it. Now I'm on to the second one in the series.
Even though it's really hot, Sam wants to be cuddled up to me or sitting on me at all times and him being so affectionate is very sweet but I can feel that he's absolutely roasting 🥲
I'm the slowest moving land mammal in the world right now. I planned to go to the shops and buy curtains today but it was too hot and I was peeing every 5 minutes and I felt sick. I stayed in and tidied the house because we've got friends coming over tomorrow instead, so at least I got something done. But it was all done with breaks to sit down every 10 minutes and an ice lolly in my hand.
Tonight we went to IKEA and got some more things for the baby's room! It's starting to look nice now rather than just a collection of things being stored together. It does feel like I'm/we're haemorrhaging money at the moment though so I'm looking forward to having everything sorted and being able to stop buying things. Got some long sleeved vests and tights delivered to dress the baby girl in with some of the dungaree and romper type outfits I've got and yesterday I bought her some tiny socks, and everything is just so cute!!
I've got another scan next Tuesday because she was measuring small last time and the doctor wants to check her growth. She was only in the tenth percentile so I hope she hasn't dropped below that. It'll be nice to see her again!
I started listening to the audio book of ACOTAR because when I was at the graduation party on Friday, some of the girls asked if I wanted to come along to their book club and that's the series they're reading (or re-reading for most of them) at the moment. Their next meet up is August and they're planning to have read books two and three by then so I thought I'd start with book one just now and then hopefully will be able to catch up to where they are by then! I usually enjoy crime and thriller books best so I haven't read anything like this before but I really like it so far! I got it as an audiobook because I thought I have a lot of admin to do in work just now and also spend about an hour+ per day travelling to and from work so I have lots of time to listen to it if I have it on in the background when I'm driving or doing easy jobs.
I've found though that I just want to be left alone with my book because it's really good and when I have to take my earphones out to have a conversation I'm like right but you don't understand that I need to know why Tamlin is befriending Feyre after taking her from her family and being so mad about her killing his friend and I can only do that if I'm plugged in to my story!!
I love asking people how their parents met. You always get an interesting reply. My best friend’s parents met on the relatively new internet in 1999. My other friend’s parents met at Burger King when one was the manager and the other was a regular customer. My parents met at the beach because they were neighbors in their rental houses, mom was on a church trip and dad was getting blackout drunk every night with his friends next door.
Tell me how your parents met in the tags.
Things making me feel nauseous today: the smell of plates and bowls. I'm eating a bowl of fruit, can smell this specific smell that is knocking me sick. What is it?? The bowl I'm eating out of that's fresh out of the dishwasher. It doesn't smell dirty or unwashed it just has...a smell. I've put it about 5 feet away from me and I swear I can still smell it.
Hahahaha my boss just described me as 'extraverted' and 'chatty' and said 'I wish I was more like that'. My guy, I am literally so uncomfortable so often, I just hide it well and I get on with everyone in work, so it doesn't feel like as much of a ströggle bc I don't feel awkward here.
Sometimes the fluttery feeling of the baby kicking or moving feels a lot like heart palpitations and I start feeling like I must be really anxious about something if my heart is doing that and then after like 15 seconds I go oh it's actually just the human living in your abdomen that's causing that feeling and then I get to 'Oh wow an actual living tiny person is inside of me' and THEN 'Oh god it's less than two months till I have to birth the baby or have the baby extracted surgically' and by that point I actually do feel a bit panicked.
