talisademirci·:
A King and Queen- how curious that they’d found each other in the confines of the Sweeny’s powder room. While vampires were never the natural enemy for witches, Talisa still refused to trust anything that didn’t die after a hundred years. Such was the case with the stone cold immortal that walked through the doors, blue hues briefly looking him over. “Now let’s consider those possibilities, shall we?” Talisa stood up, a smirk beginning to tug at the corner of her lips as she closed the gap between the two. “In the first case, I don’t think the person would lay so much as a hand on me before they hit the ground dead...” When it came to her own safety, she had no reservations, no boundaries she wasn’t willing to cross. If that meant death, then so be it. “And the second, Louikos..” His name momentarily lingered on her lips, fingers ever so gently tracing down his chest. “There’s plenty of wood in the room- I believe it’s a stake to the heart?” Talisa nodded before bringing a small smile to her lips. “Lucky for the two of us, you’re not Sweeny’s murderer of choice… that keeps me from staining my clothes with blood.” Bold words from a bold woman, though she hadn’t ever been one to shy away from power. Instead, she’d fallen quite comfortable with her own, a sharp tongue holding the council to the edge of their seats. “Enjoying the party so far?”
Luke kept his eyes glued on her, watching her every step until there was no space between them. He had always found the witch to be quite intriguing as the two shared a desire to be in control and to survive. While her fingers trailed down his chest Luke decided to play her game by wrapping an arm around her waist, his fingers digging into her lower back. “You should know by now that if you put a stake through my heart there will be a swarm of vampires on the hunt for you and no amount of magic would be able to stop them.” A little threat to go along with hers which truly was playful banter between the two. At her next question he shrugged his shoulders and caught his lower lip between his teeth. “It’s not really my style, but I am enjoying it more now that you’re here.” A hint of seduction was laced in his tone as he pulled her in closer. “Are you having fun?”
OPEN TO ALL — THE PARLOR, BEGINNING OF THE NIGHT.
The cool Colorado night air turned stuffy and dense, and Gabe could sense an eerie change in the atmosphere, as though at any minute hands crafted of fog could wrap his neck and stifle the life from his lungs. The rolling white that covered Lockwood Acres was undeniably strange — no ordinary fog was this thick and the very thought set the wolf on edge, pushing him from his porch chair and leaving his cold beer behind as he sought the Alpha. He covered nearly five yards before the mayor’s voice sounded around him, filling his ears and… coercing his actions?
No longer did his feet carry him towards Tiber’s cabin, but instead away from the pack lands and into the town, passing abandoned stores and cars as he found the Mayor’s Mansion. Sebastian Sweeny was theatrical, and Gabe had no patience for such. An inkling of agitation cradled his bones as he watched the mayor twist his handle bar mustache between his thumb and forefinger, the smile beneath annoyingly whimsical. It should be no surprise the town’s elected leader would force them into his birthday shenanigans. Stranger things had happened, after all. And, it seemed as though no choice was to be had in the matter, so the man would simply have to endure until they were all free to go.
“You even done one of these before?” he asked the person closest to him, swiping a map of the lavish home from a parlor table. “Seems like a waste of time if you ask me.” But, of course, no one had. “And you know what, the old kook could have at least shelled out for some catering.” Finally, a fraction of smile appeared as he met eyes with the other.
Luke had always enjoyed a good party hosted by someone of high social status. The finest food, the lavish entertainment, and of course the bountiful crowd of warm blood waiting to be drank by a vampire. As he had walked through the party it seemed that the Mayor lacked the knowledge of how to throw a party worthy of his attention. A murder mystery? In his opinion, why plan a fake murder when a real one is so much more fun? While standing in the parlor with a drink in hand a man that smelled of werewolf began to speak to him. “You might say that I have, but the murders I was involved in were a lot more ... satisfying.” Luke offered him a devilish grin before he took a swig of his drink. “Or an open bar. Who needs food when you have alcohol?”

It was the mayor’s birthday, another year written in the book’s of history. While Talisa didn’t particularly care for the man, it didn’t do well to not show up upon his request. Such were the woes of prominent families in Blackvale. Just as she zipped the back of her dress, the P.A system boomed throughout the town. Invitations, it seemed, were extended to anyone. That held both good and bad, depending on who she ran into. Blue eyes curiously took in the heavy fog that floated outside her window. It was strange, almost as though it beckoned her to venture out. The urge planted itself in her mind, growing stronger with every passing minute. Magic. It was the only conclusion she could arrive at… however this hadn’t been cast by her hand. Nor could she believe anyone else in the coven had acted on their own accord- at least for the most part. With a coat thrown over her shoulders, the Demirci front door shut behind her.
Slipping past the other townsfolk, Talisa made her way to a slightly less crowded room on the first floor. It was a bold move, at least she thought so, to let a hoard of strangers ransack a home. Then again, sometimes she wondered whether or not the Sweeny’s were all there. Had it been Talisa’s own birthday, she would’ve opted for drinks and the Witching Hour. To each their own, she supposed. Taking a seat at the Vanity, her eyes lazily look over Mrs. Sweeny’s choice of perfume, though her pursuing is interrupted by the door opening. Fun. Brushing back a strand of hair, Talisa looked over her shoulder- “Might want to be a bit more careful with where you’re walking into, I’ve heard there’s a murderer running around.” She said, a smirk crossing her features.
Luke never enjoyed attending the Mayor’s birthday celebration. The reasoning was that he had been attending this party since 1865 and after the third year it became quite boring. Which was why he had decided to create his own fun for the night and that included wandering around the home to look for dirt on the Mayor. He enjoyed a good blackmail just like the next person. During his search he entered the powder room to find someone had already been occupying the space. At her comment Luke let out a sarcastic laugh as he shoved his hands into the pockets of his pants. “I wouldn’t be too worried.” He admitted with his own devilish smirk. “You, my dear, might want to be careful being alone in a secluded room, because what if that murderer running around stumbles across you? What if I’m the murderer?”
The first thought that soundlessly echoed through her mind was she liked the fliers. She stared at it quite a bit longer than a normal person would trying to figure out how something called a ‘murder mystery’ could look so cheerful. Silently she judged because the flyer wasn’t even a slight tone of orange - and that was a problem. Perhaps she should turn away, violence and murder were never part of her manthra.
Caitlyn almost misses the actor giving a small kick to the person. A loud gasp emits from her lips as she leans foward. “Sorry! Hi I’m Cait!” Then she noticed the crimson material surrounding the figure and quickly placed the flyer over her mouth to cover the squeal that threatened to peak. This was all fake. This wasn’t a real murder. She careully tries to maneuver away from the faux body, but she keeps looking back at it. The worry and motherly concern draws her facial features together in the center.
The mayor’s theatrics almost make her leap out of her skin, but instead she clashes with the person beside her hard. “Did you hear that a murder?!” Caitlyn mirrored the theatrics of the mayor, but she was quite serious in her slight panic. “Oh sorry. Sorry. I got scared.” She frowned realizing that she probably shouldn’t cling onto strangers like they’re a savior of sorts.”Do you think the killer drank all the orange juice?”
Wherever Luke went, trouble seemed to follow. He enjoyed causing chaos and watching humans scream in terror. Others enjoyed playing a murder ‘mystery’ while he enjoyed real murder. After all, what’s more fun than killing? While on his way to shake things up, a woman bumped into him and began to ramble. She appeared to be too innocent for this party which was a bit shocking for the vampire. With the town being full on supernaturals it wasn’t everyday that he ran into someone who was afraid of death. Luke kept an arm wrapped around her as a charming grin graced his features. “Orange juice?” He questioned with a soft chuckle. “If I was the killer I think I would go straight for the Mayor’s booze, may as well do something illegal in style right?”
Regardless of how the years had passed, Vienna wasn’t so sure she would ever get used to the magical enhancements that the town had come into over the years. The magical P.A. system had scared her half to death the first time she’d heard it- having been way out past the edges of the bustling town center- where she was sure no soul would have ever found her. Tonight she’d been a lot closer. Didn’t startle as easy as she used to. Vi had hardly fought against the overwhelming urge to make her way to the Mayor’s mansion- surrendering to the idea that whatever event might… Not be so terrible, considering the alternative. Which was nothing. Vienna grasped one of the colorful flyers and inspected it carefully, moving through the grand archway of the Sweeny House with a renewed sense of curiosity. As many times as she’d wandered or driven by, she’d never been inside— to say that it was a far cry from her humble raisings would be a gross understatement. “Do you think they actually use all of these rooms?” Vi wondered aloud, having caught the movement of a stranger out of the corner of her eye. “Honestly. A study and a library? Frivolous.”
Throughout his years of life, or of death, Luke had lived in many different homes all over the world. He had lived in castles much bigger than the home of the mayor, but now wasn’t the time to brag about such things not when there was a murder to be solved. Although a mystery was a fun game for humans, the vampire needed a bit more entertainment to keep his mind occupied. Of course, his fun could come later. While he was glancing at the flyer in hand a woman began to speak. “You’d be surprised what someone could do in a study and a library.” He replied in a low tone of voice, his green hues now on the blonde. “The bigger the better, wouldn’t you agree?”

♔ A PEEK INSIDE — HEADCANONS
The night Luke turned into a vampire was a night he often wished he could forget. He was in love with a princess, it was a forbidden love as he was a farm boy in Romania. With the help of dark magic, her brother turned their family into blood thirsty immortals. During her first night as a vampire, Luke and the princess were trying to run away together. However, he got caught in her blood lust and she drained all of his blood. In a panic, she tried to save her lover by doing anything she could think of which included giving Luke some of her own blood. Thinking that her lover had died, she ran away without knowing that he would wake up the next night confused and thirsty for blood of his own.
Being one of the oldest vampires, he has had a lot of time to explore the world and be whoever he wanted to be. Growing up as a farm boy, he didn’t have the best education, but being a vampire allowed him to appear as a permanent college student. To further his knowledge Luke has studied numerous subjects at prestigious schools around the world. He knows many different languages and has knowledge in medicine, law, culinary and more as he has tried out different jobs throughout his vampire life. Since being stuck in Blackvale since 1865, it’s difficult to show his face to the locals when they start to wonder why he doesn’t age. Which is why for the past eighty years, he’s tried a more illegal career by running an underground supernatural fight club.
Although Luke isn’t the type to have human friends, he prefers the company of animals. He lives on a large property where he can be surrounded by the loyal companions, especially dogs. After all, once a farm boy, always a farm boy.
