Typewriter works by Montserrat Alberich Escardívol (1912-1973). Her first exhibition was in 1929 (including the Don Quijote image above) and she continued to type graphics most of her life. The typewriter company Underwood gave her a customized typewriter in 1957, with a few custom characters and a width of 310 characters. Presumably, the Barcelona Cathedral image was made some time after that. She used around 20 colour ribbons, which helped to set her apart from many other typewriter artists.

The Sun Is Still a Part of Me

More than ever shy is why I am inside with the sun as my more popular roommate. The sun illuminates my uniform of silence. The sun knows how love is just the distance between unlovable objects. My phone is lying over there. My phone is close to solving the mystery of why I don't answer the phone. I am so busy. I am practicing my new hobby of watching me become someone else. There is so much violence in reconstruction. Each minute is grisly, but I have to participate. I am building what I cannot break.
