Where to begin? Kate and Em started their wedding day off the way they usually do, relaxing with warm mugs of tea and coffee. Sometimes stress seems to be an inevitable part of a wedding, but not these two, who pulled off their simple but special affair with just a month of planning. Kate arranged all the flowers herself, and the two got ready at home together before driving up to the Oakland hills for a portrait session in the redwoods. Shortly after their family gathered at their Oakland home before setting across the bay bridge for a city hall ceremony, followed by an intimate dinner in Oakland at Dona Thomas, their favorite local restaurant.
