Do you have any tips for making a splatoon oc?

Usually I take inspiration from in game (splatoon) or from my surroundings. If it comes to what colour the oc should be or clothes your best bet is looking on Pinterest for inspo.

Hello! I was wondering as how you did the colors and lines like that in the second pic (idk how to describe it but if it's fine you could explain how ?)

I did the following;

Duplicate line art layer

Alpha lock second line art layer and colour it purple

Proceed to erase pieces of the purple line art so it isn’t as prominent

Gaussian blur the purple line art to 1-2%

This is all done on procreate

How can the tidal twins be swimmers if inkfish cant go in water? do they swim in ink?

they’re more water based than ink based so they have more resistance to water when in it. also applying this HC to them, thank you crow for sending this !!!
