I can’t believe the series finale of Star Trek The Original Series is a body swap episode in which Kirk’s ex (Dr. Lester) hijacks his body, leaving our dear captain trapped in her own as he makes vain attempts to alert his crew to what’s transpired but is continuously thwarted. & OF COURSE Spock is the 1st to suspect something’s amiss. OF COURSE Spock is the 1st to be convinced because –

While other members of the crew start to come around as they observe their “Captain’s” questionable behavior, no one is as sure of the truth and resolved to return Kirk to himself as Spock. Without external evidence, with the charge of mutiny, and with the sentence of death - Spock boldly stands by Kirk while others continue to hesitate and doubt.

There was no galaxy ending threat but the tension of this episode was completely worthy of a series finale & the bond featured in this episode between Kirk and Spock was such a wonderful ode to an absolutely iconic duo.

Spirk Bonus:

HAND HOLDING! Wrist holding? Meh. Yeah, that may be the body of Dr. Lester but that body contains the life entity of Captain Kirk so it counts as Spirk. I take no criticism.

When they open up people's profiles in Starfleet it always has a little picture of them but what I would like if it's always taken like your drivers license photo right after you graduated the academy. You have 1 shot to get a decent photo because there's 412 people in line and changing it is a bureaucratic nightmare.
