"Well, that goes without saying." He smiles softly. It was a guarantee that they would be spending the rest of their lives together. The Professor would do whatever it takes to ensure that much. It was hardly a drop in the ocean of time for them to spend a meagre few hours with Dorian.
He laughs, bright and cheerful, as he gets up once Moran has moved. Another small kiss is pressed to Moran's cheek this time as Moriarty moves away from him to open his study door and call for a servant. He passes along his instructions, watches to make sure they leave quickly, then closes the door and turns back to Moran. "There. Now you can get yourself comfortable again. At least until Dorian drags you to your feet."
The kiss to his cheek does placate Moran slightly as he finds himself smiling a little, even as he gently rubs at the wound once the Professor's back was turned. He'd nearly forgotten just how fucking itchy the bastard bandages could be. If there wasn't a worry of it reopening, he'd go with the blasted things, or if the Professor woul dhave it out for him for not properly taking care of it.
As the Professor turns back, he does properly smile up at him, waiting until he was sat back down before parking himself in his prior spot. Fidgeting ever so slightly, he makes a pleased noise once he's finally comfortable. "He ain't draggin' me anywhere. I'm still injured, sir."
Making a pleased noise, they lean into the short kiss, smiling still as they rest their head against his shoulder. "You did say he could have it. Doubt he'd wanna part with it now."
It's always pleasantly surprising that Johnny knows what runs through their mind, even now they weren't connected. As Johnny mentions the car, they rummage through the pockets of the jacket, then his pants, before holding up the keys to him. "Here. Car keys."
"Not askin' him to. He is more than welcome to keep it. Will actually make good music with it." He smiles a little. Not that he thought that his own music was shit. Not at all. He was just making music for a different purpose. He wrote things for himself, with no intention of sharing them with the world. That instrument deserved to be heard.
He looks up, frowning in his surprise. He opens his mouth, floundering for something to say, before he just takes the key and looks down at it. "You're really gonna give my baby back?"

(🌙) - A memory that they don't know is real or not.
There's beeping. Voices, both of them raised. They can hear Johnny shouting, and someone shouting back, which confuses V because how can anyone else see and hear Johnny? Only So Mi could, and she latched herself onto the Relic. Were they stuck in the backseat again?
The voices sound louder then, and they can make out who the other is. Valerie. What's she doing here? Is she yelling at Johnny for taking over? No, that can't be right, she doesn't know about him. Does she? They lose track of just who they've told.
"I'm his sister, you fuckin' gonk!"
That they hear clear as day, a small noise leaving him. He hopes it's a laugh. It's probably more of a wheeze. But the shouting stops, and he sees two figures appearing either side of him. Valerie's holding onto his face then.
"Vinnie? Vinnie are you there? Are you awake?"
They try to make another noise but can't quite let it leave him, but has a faint smile as he feels a hand being taken. That's all he feels, before the slumber takes him once more.

V had expected this. Johnny wasn't the type to linger after sex, much. To argue, maybe, as they'd seen him do with Alt in his memories. But that wasn't the Johnny of 2077. Johnny had been cautious, worried almost, about fucking up whatever they had going on between them, and it had seemed like no amount of reassurance would calm him. Until now.
Shifting to lie on their side to look at him, they rest an arm underneath their head. "Well, could always go at it again." They're only half joking. "Or. . . could try. . . talkin' about feelings?"
It was weird. The old Johnny would never have been so nervous about sex. Nothing would have phased him— He was usually drunk, high, or wrapped up in his own shit that he didn't have the time to worry. Most of the people he had slept with didn't mean that much to him beyond the sex. Besides Rogue and Alt, everyone else had been a means to an end. A way to fuck something out of his system when terrorism wasn't a viable option.
What he had with V was different. Different from what he had with Rogue and Alt. They had mattered, they had meant something, but they were still just distractions. They had shared a deeper bond; they had known him, but they had never seen him. Not for who he was, not his core. V had. V had seen him in a way that hadn't been possible when he was alive. The time he had spent in V's head had changed him, brought out the better in him. It felt new and fragile. He was terrified of the inevitable moment that "Good Old Silverhand" would piss all over it.
Now that he was here, next to V, with the afterglow fading, the doubt was creeping back in. He avoids their gaze, even as he turns to look at him. It was easier to talk about the frilly things when he felt like no one else could see him.
Despite his vulnerability, he still laughs at V's joke. "Yeah, need a minute. Then you can have whatever you want." He tilts his head in their direction. "Never been good at the feelin's bite."
They make a small noise again, shifting himself to let Johnny rest a hand on him. Taking his hand then, they just hold onto it, fiddling with the rings adorning his fingers. "How can you be so sure?" Their voice is quiet, as if they don't want to speak their fears aloud. But bottling it up certainly won't help.
They shake their head then, just pulling themselves closer to Johnny, burying their face against him. "Just you." It wasn't until he'd felt Johnny's hand on him that he realised just how much comfort he really needed.
It didn't bother him. He almost found it cute when V reached for his hand just to play with the rings he sometimes wore there. He gently caresses the back of their hand with his thumb. "'Cause I made you a promise. Gonna make it okay." He would stand by that promise until the day that he dies. "Always gonna be here to make sure you're okay."
He gently runs his fingers through his hair, staying still. "Not goin' anywhere." He moves his hand to his back, trying to soothe him gently.
They shrug again, his smile widening. "Just seems like your style, y'know? Think I know you pretty well by now." They wink, coming to sit down next to him then.
"You can always have back some o' the things I managed to get. They suit you more than they suit me, anyway." Except the jacket. He was keeping that for good now.
He makes a small pleased noise and nods. "Better than anyone else." He grins, winking back at them. He leans over to kiss their cheek, not lingering long as he looks back down at his guitar.
"This isn't even the one I performed with. Kerry must still have that one." He mutters to himself as he strums something far calmer than he would normally play.
He chuckles softly as if he knows what V is thinking and shakes his head. "The jacket was made for you anyway. Was never mine. Want my car back, she's my baby."

V wanted to believe him, truly. But he hadn't had an attack like this since before Mikoshi, and it scared him. What if something had gone wrong, that the estimates of everyone were right and he was still on borrowed time?
They just make a small noise, curling up a little more, not finding the energy to speak just yet. What could they even say? Nothing felt right, it seemed like the world was still just out to fuck him specifically, royally so.
He knew V's fears as well as his own. Mikoshi had taken something from both of them. In these moments, Johnny missed being connected to V's nervous system. There was no way for him to know exactly what was going on inside V's body without jacking into it.
He doesn't touch him yet, letting them have a moment to calm themselves. "It's gonna be alright, V. Not gonna let anything happen to you." He moves his hand closer, still not touching him. "Need me to get you something?"

Seeing Johnny smile makes them smile, resting their arms at their side as he takes the guitar. "Yeah, 's the one that clued me in to it prob'ly bein' one of yours." Obviously Johnny wasn't the only one in the city — the world — who hated the rich corpos, but he was perhaps one of the few with such a guitar, and such an array of sticker selection on it.
They shrug then. "Kerry. Had a gig a while back, you remember where I had to klep his guitar back from that freak fan? Got this one as well. He gave it back to me."
With a chuckle, he glances back up at them and nods slightly. "Anything else about it that you think it was mine?" His fingers ideally pluck at the strings, subconsciously checking that each was in tune. Coming from Kerry, he knew it would be well-maintained, but still, he felt the need to check it.
"Oh yeah. Seems like a lifetime ago now. He coulda kept it. Wouldn't have minded much. Not like I have most of my old things." He had long since given up on having any of it again. They belonged to a dead age; to a man that would never see them again. He had changed so much since the last time he touched these strings.
Kerry had gifted them an old guitar. V thought it wasn't Johnny's — Johnny himself had all but forced Kerry to take his old guitar — but upon closer inspection of some of the stickers and marking, it just. . . screamed Johnny. They smile softly as Johnny finally looks up, having been more than happy listening to him play. Honestly, if Johnny were ignoring them to strum out tunes, they didn't mind at all.
They hold out the guitar again. "This. Does it belong to you? Or, did it?" He steps closer then, letting Johnny get a closer look.
He puts the one he was playing down carefully and makes a soft appreciative noise as he looks over the one that V had brought in. He takes it from them, carefully looking over it. A soft smile draws the corners of his mouth up as he gently strums one. He lightly traces one of the stickers. "Eat the Rich." He chuckles as he reads it to V. "Sounds like me." He chuckles to himself, settling it on his lap as he strums again. "Where'd you get it?"

He hadn't been paying much attention to V when they came in. He was more invested in the little tune he was cooking up, gently strumming at his guitar. He hums softly as they speak, nodding a little as he only half-listens to him. He starts to pick up a melody for his tune, humming along to it. It's a moment more before he realises what V has actually said, and he looks up. "Sorry." He smiles apologetically. "Was in the zone. What did you say?"
