“The nightmares again?” Moriarty asks, and doesn’t that just make it worse for Moran? That sometimes the Professor seems to show understanding, albeit somewhat misguided understanding, towards him. If he was simply always cold then Moran could perhaps understand that more and better cope with it. In time perhaps he could even begin to move on from this almost crushing sense that his life amounts to nought without the Professor returning his regard in some significant way.

But sometimes Moriarty at least tries to be compassionate towards him, and somehow that fact makes the pain even worse, because it sometimes comes so close to what Moran craves, yet always at the last moment misses the mark.

“Yes sir,” Moran replies because it’s easier to lie than to even begin to try to put the truth into words.

“Well then.” Moriarty stands up and moves to place his own empty glass back on the sideboard. As he passes Moran’s chair he briefly pats the Colonel on the shoulder. He does not see the pained manner in which Moran, equally briefly, screws his eyes tightly shut.

Kate instinctively takes a step back when they whip around but otherwise wears an approachable smile. Years of being diplomatic haven't failed her yet.

"UNified Intelligence Taskforce. We're an organisation that handles and investigates the extraterrestrial and paranormal," she explains, feeling the air had changed behind her but keeps her focus on their guest. "So, what I'm getting is you were... hacking into some technology when you shouldn't have and ended up here? Is that correct?"

She has the feeling she might need one of the younger employees to translate for her, as it sounds more like youth's slang than an alien language.

"So. . . you didn't kidnap me? Thank fuck." They sigh, relaxing slightly before narrowing their eyes again. "Or did you, 'cause I was messin' with that tech?" This UNIT lot didn't sound like a corp, or a big one at least, but they might have the technology to spirit someone away.

Thinking for a moment, neurons properly firing, they can't help smirking. "Say, you work with alien shit, right? You heard anythin' about, er. . . techno-necromancers from Alpha Centuri?"

“This is actually important. Your word never mattered before.”

He mock pouts for a moment, before allowing his snarl to return.

"Was important before, weren't it? Ain't my fault you dragged the good doctor into yours and Professor's business." They had done their best to keep Watson out of their schemes, but it seemed the detective was incapable of leaving him behind at times.

my soon to be ex manager, who made me redunant, had the fucking gall to ask me to come in early tomorrow. on my last fucking day there. the same manager who said the store doesn't need additional staff. who didn't ask ME DIRECTLY, asked my shift lead, who then asked me. who asked w/ less than 24 hr warning. i was indifferent to her but this has acc really fucking annoyed me now.

Hey guys! I thought I’d so something fun this weekend, so I did my best to sexualize the alphabet and turn it into a headcanon game!

So here’s how it works. You send me a character (or a few), and the corresponding letters that you want me to answer for them!
