oh my god the emphasis on pickpocketing in kohane6 has me ROLLING laughing as an american. vbs gets to america and immediately akito gets pickpocketed, a crime that notoriously does NOT happen much in america because we solve all our problems with violence lmao. there are whole articles about american tourists beating the shit out of pickpocketers in europe, for example.
if you’re gonna get robbed in america it’s absolutely going to be someone with a firearm. i know several people who have had their wallets or phones stolen and it’s ALWAYS been at gunpoint.
like i get why they couldnt put that in a kid’s game bc vbs coming to america and instantly being shot would be very random and out of character but the fact that PICKPOCKETING of all things is the particular crime they chose to represent america is absolutely hysterical to me
(actually, now that i think about it, toya’s reaction is the only one that actually makes a lot of sense. he’s the only one who’s really been abroad before, and he’s the one who stops akito from going after the pickpocketer for the reason that he might have a weapon. the only unrealistic part was the kid not actually having a weapon lmfao)

I think wl2 kinda shows how much sekais help and improve pjsk characters life, and it makes me sad thinking of the people who didn't have someone that cared so much, someone that was so close to their feelings in the moment they needed it the most. Sekai is the closest thing every character has to a home, a place where they can escape knowing they'll never be alone, and so many people have given up on stuff, people and dreams because they felt or were alone. It really makes you think in the value of having a good support system
