@deathboundinautumn asked 'I want the K' #6 gentle kiss
he was safe now, right? her heart couldn’t help but be worried for him. she didn’t understand what had happened, why this happened. he was hurt and she couldn’t remember anything. was it her fault? was she the reason he was hurt? she felt a deep sadness inside from the feeling. she couldn’t help but blame herself and somehow think this was all her fault. it just had to be.
he laid there, bandaged up as best as she could do. she tried her best to make him comfortable. she wanted him to have her bed, he needed it. she worried for him, he needed more then her crappy bandage job. sure she had done this before from hurting her feet etc in the past, but this was much more. he was asleep now, so she wouldn’t wake him.
something kept tugging at her though as she hovered above him. like he had been injured not just because of her, but maybe to protect her. she had no memories from what happened to him. had she stepped in front of car by accident? did he push her out of the way? she felt tears coming to her eyes. he protected her, again. saved her yet again.
she choked back tears. slowly, she soon leaned down. she pressed her soft lips to his. she didn’t really know why, but there was something pulling her to do so. it was like her body remembered things she didn’t. his lips were firm compared to her small petite ones. she held the kiss there for a moment before pulling away slightly. “shinjiro...i’m so sorry.” she whispered in a soft tone as she brushed hair out of his face gently.

“Well, I believe in the pressance of God, not as much his servants.”
“that’s...rather odd. how can you believe in God but not his servants? that’s like...saying i believe you’re real but your butler doesn’t exist.”
serenity: shinji you’re hurt! let me carry you just lean on me!
deathboundinautumn·:
What happened next was a blur. Mayas were one thing, just weak shadows barely given form…but fighting two Gigas, towering shadows with intense brute strength, and some having elemental attacks was another matter entirely. The fight was not short like the others, the Hierophant having to rely entirely on Castor as he didn’t have his ax on him. Concealing an Evoker was easy, but a battle-ax not so much. Though victorious in the end, Shinji sustained moderate physical damage and intense fatigue. Summoning Castor that much could prove dangerous, especially for him.
Searing pain pierces his skull as if his brain is constantly being impaled on hot steel. His vision swims as he struggles to keep his legs from giving out. Bloodied, bruised by not down, he leans against the wall for support. Muffled is her panicked voice, likely from the dried blood spilling from his ears as his one unswollen eye turns in her direction. Shaky breaths steady as he stands up a bit straighter wincing from the pain.
“Nothing. I’ll be…fine.”
He had no solid explanation or excuse for her. His mind doesn’t have the capacity to come up with a lie. Right now all his willpower is focused on keeping him standing and conscious.
she shook her head as she looked over him. he was severely injured. what on earth had happened?! she couldn’t remember anything, no matter how hard she tried. all she remembered was them walk and then nothing until she woke up on the cement. “you’re not fine!” she blurted out softly as she tried to help him keep his balance. he was using the wall, but even then he was struggling to stand up straight or stand at all. she looked at him with a concerned expression on her face. she was scared for him.
“we need to get you somewhere safe. the hospital...it’s...too far from here.” she realized once she looked around to see where they were. they weren’t even in the alley anymore either. she was confused and scared. not only for having no memories but because of his condition. “i don’t live far from here, i have a first aid kit.” which made sense considering she got hurt a lot during practice over the years. “can you walk? can you lean on me?” she asked in a slight panicked voice.
out of character. holy moly i can’t believe i use to write that much before i went on hiatus. back when we first made that verse of serenity being an angel. dang it’s been forever.
sacramxntal·:
She didn’t MEAN to cause him pain. She didn’t know and… he couldn’t find strength to blame her, even if his mood could barely be described as positive. He was more enduring and patient than he appeared to be. Moreover, he was determined to learn of the primary REASON of her arrival. From the moment he saw her it quickly became apparent that she was aware of his terrible fate. But what she was going to do about it?
Ciel was alarmed and pretty confused with her actions. The woman in front of him was the epitome of benevolence and light, she was so ethereal that he was inclined to doubt her evil ways. But even while having such perfect picture at arm’s length — he couldn’t believe his eyes. His heart was insistently reiterating: “nothing is what it seems”, forcing him to seek for any smallest token of something diabolic within her luminescent frame. In vain. He couldn’t discover her deceit and it vexed him.
I WANT TO SAVE YOU.
She revealed within a second.
I WANT TO SAVE YOU, SO THAT YOU CAN LIVE.
Needless to say she just added fuel to his fire. Is it how she was mocking him now after everything he’s been through? Whoever she was, she took too many liberties. His fingers curled into firm fists, he had enough of this nonsense already.
❝ Shut up! ❞
But then it hit him. Her words pierced a knife in his heart. She… was there? At the ritual? She saw what THEY wanted to do to him? Awful scenes flashed before his eyes and he trembled both from rage and fear. It was silent in the room, yet he could hear all the voices around him chanting indecipherable spell. His blood ran out of color as he experienced the severe death-agony again. His mind overflowing with hallucinations. He was about to call out for Sebastian, but he lost his voice…
To him it seemed like it took him eternity to wake from a stupor. He found himself sitting on the floor, it was dark and his back was pressed against the foot of the bed.
There was someone else except Sebastian that night?
❝ It can’t be..,❞ he breathed staring into nowhere. His body ached as if he was tortured for hours. Her words dinned in his head. It was unbearable.
I HOPED YOUR LIFE WOULD END SWIFTLY TO END YOUR SUFFERING …
❝ You were ANOTHER vulture over my head. You were there to see my death… ❞
His voice faded to a soft husky whisper.
❝ DON’T COME CLOSER. There is NOTHING you can ‘save’. ❞
he looked at her, in disbelief. he was doubting her, she could tell. he held a look in his eyes that wanted her to be a fragment of his imagination. her brows knit together from this. was he scared of her? she didn’t blame him. he had endured so much, but knowing demons existed, surely he knew that her kind existed as well? she had feared that he would react this way, but she had to approach him, she had to try and reach out to him.
she had to make him know that she was there, that she existed. but he soon yelled out at her, telling her to shut up. her heart dropped, his anguish was becoming clearer by the second. she knew she should have came sooner, hell, she should have been there that day. she should have reached out to him. it should have been HER hand that he grabbed that day, not his.
his eyes filled with agony, like those remembering memories of pain and misery. she didn’t want this. she didn’t wish to cause him pain, but she had to repent for her sins. even if they weren’t considered sins to her kin. they told her not to help, that her kind were not allowed to interfere. “please...please understand that i wanted to save you. the others, they forbid me. we aren’t suppose to interfere with the lives of humans.” she tried to explain to him, pain in her voice as she wanted him to believe her and trust her.
he was filled with so much fear, something she never wanted to cause. he wasn’t wrong, she had watched over him that night like a vulture. however, she wasn’t there to feast on his soul. not like the darkness that now was trying to consume him. “listen, please listen to me. i can save you.” she tried to tell him as she shook her head. she wanted him to believe that he wasn’t fully doomed. that he didn’t have to accept the cruel fate that he thought he was stuck with. “it is my sin...my sin for not saving you that night. i had never felt a pain so strong. my people are suppose to be guardians. but what did we do...nothing. i begged them to let me.”
her head hung down, locks of hair falling forward over her shoulders as she gripped her dress tightly. she didn’t blame him for hating her, she deserved his hate. “i know you hate me, you have every right too. i didn’t save you then. but i can save you now!” she told him desperately. there wasn’t going to be much time left before he would come. the boy might even call out for him and she had to prevent that. if only she could convince him that he’d be safe.
“i can’t watch this time...as the darkness swallows your heart. i want you to live. please don’t give up...please live.” she begs him softly as her blue hues look at him. she wants to approach him, but refrains from doing so from the fear he holds. serenity knew she might fail, but she had to try. even if he wouldn’t come with her, at least he would know that it wasn’t hopeless. that there could be a way for him to escape this hell.
serenity disobeyed the angels, time for them to explode screaming “IMPURE” at her.
out of character. suddenly there are ducks everywhere and shinjiro is talking about pussy while all the other students are freaking out and teasing him for it. while serenity is confused but has a pile of ducks sitting in her lap playing in the folds of her long, white gown.
impcratore·:
indeed they were done by students, but mostly by himself. in fact, he was surprised when the school decided to hang the three paintings there but he guessed it was only normal as they were the ones that won different competitions. yusuke usually poured his SOUL and effort on those pieces, so he was proud that they were exhibit, yet at the same time it gave him a feeling of UNEASINESS that he was unable to explain. “yes, the same student actually.” and still, he keeps himself HUMBLE and decided to avoid mentioning his name.
wow they were all done by the same student?! they must be very talented then. serenity was impressed as she looked them over a bit more with a smile on her face.❝wow! they have done such a good job! im not very good at art myself beside maybe coloring.❞ she gives out a small embarrassed laugh as she stands up straight and soon turns to him.❝maybe one day they could show me more of their work! but i’ll have to figure out who they are first.❞ she mentioned sweetly with another soft laugh. she held her bag close to her before realizing she was forgetting her manners. ❝oh that’s right! sorry, my name is serenity. i came to drop off some things a student here forgot at our studio.❞

“I know, I was too my first time” he admits. Not like she’ll remember anyway, She’s not a persona user. She’s resisting the call of Tartarus. She is prey. Mask is lowered to give her peace of mind, stressing her out any more than she already is and she could-
Eyes flicker as memories of the girl dissolving into a shapeless Shadow flash in his mind and fear poisons his heart.
He shakes the memory from conscious thought. Buries it. As he gives her hand a comforting squeeze steel hues lock with shimmering pools of ocean blue. Absent is his cold hard gaze, eyes filled with compassion and determination.
“I will keep you safe.”
He gently pulls his arm away, taking a deep breath and steeling his heart as he raises the Evoker to his head.
“Come forth…Castor!”
his first time? so it wasn’t just her or him too? she wished she could ask him more questions, but she knew it wasn’t time to do so. she looked away, only for a brief moment before she felt a squeeze to her hand. she looked back to him, seeing a gaze he had never shown before. he was concerned and protective. her brows knit together again as she hears those words come from his lips. he would protect her, keep her safe. those words meant more then anything right now. it gave her something to hold onto, to avoid the voices that called out to her. but despite her mind trying to hold onto him, she watched as he turned away. her vision started to blur, but she wasn’t completely scared. she believed in him. the last thing she saw was the shattering of the minds glass before castor would form. her vision went into darkness soon after.
just like that it was like the nightmare had never happened. her conscious began to return, feeling the coldness of the ground she laid on. she felt slightly woozy and dizzy, but her eyes opened. memories lost from that time since she was not a persona user. blue eyes lifted to look around, dazed and confused. the last thing she remembered was she was walking with shinjiro, who had saved her from some thugs. how did she end up here? lifting her head more, she looked around.❝shinjiro?❞ she called out before her eyes turned to see a form not to far from her. she managed to push herself up and quickly went to them. soon realizing that it was shinjiro himself, but he was injured.❝shinjiro! oh my gosh what happened?! you’re hurt!❞
deathboundinautumn·:
“Alright,” he nods “Let’s go.” he takes her by the hand before sprinting out of the alley. Gray hues quickly scan the plaza seeing a few shadows crawling between the coffins that sprinkle the open area. Right now, the best option is to head to the dorms. It’s easily the safest place to be given certain defensive mechanisms in place.
He turns his head towards her to make sure she’s keeping it together “Come on, this way” he says in between breaths as they head towards the S.E.E.S dorm. If they were quick and if they ran into as little shadows as possible they could make it within the next twenty minutes easily. Though as they round the first street corner Shinji stops hard, pulling her back behind the corner as two hulking figures patrol the vacant street.
“Shit! Gigas, two of them.” Eyes are cast down at Serenity before steadying himself. He needs to keep her calm. “You’re doin great.”
she nods because its all she can really do. she follows him as he takes her hand to lead her out of the alley. she tries to focus on him and only him. but her eyes can’t help but gaze goes to what looks like coffins. she’s confused and doesn’t understand what’s happening even more so. she inhales, trying to keep her wits about her even though her brows were knit together and she felt like she was going to faint from all of this. she’s brought back to reality when he tells her to follow him again. she nods, trying to keep her eyes focused on him instead of the nightmare that surrounded them. however, they stopped abruptly as she is pulled back around the corner. she had seen them, the giant shadows. she couldn’t help her body from shaking in fear. without even knowing it, she had grabbed onto his sleeve, tightly, as if it was life support. she hears him, head tilting up. she knows he’s there to protect her, but even so.❝i’m scared...i’m so scared...❞ she finally breathed out.
❝papa! we are going to need to make more bread!❞ her voice called out. she remembered how odd it first was to call him that. since in reality, he wasn’t her real father, but it didn’t matter now. she had lived here for so long that he was like a father to her. him and his wife had been so kind and taken her in, adopted her after that day she ran far far away. her cheery voice rang out in the small bakery as she held a basket in her hand. she filled the basket with the remaining bread, which was why she called out that more had to be made. she helped her small family with selling and making bread. it was a simple life, but it was better then the life she didn’t want when she was a child.
❝i’ll be heading out now papa, mama!❞ she called out, blue hues filled with job and a brightness. she walked out the door into the town where people were hustling and bustling like they always were. as she walked she heard people call out to her. ‘hello, odette!’ she would smile and wave back to them. brushing some of her long blond hair from her face.
