bestie... you realize the internet doesn’t work for you, right? This post is tagged so that you can filter it out. In no way did I target you, specifically. In no way did I “purposely trigger u.” This is an extremely generic post tagged correctly and meant to only stay within the circle it was meant for. Please get over your victim mentality, babes. You can’t just... Say Words. You know that, right? I mean, someone who’s definitely mature and responsible enough to be on the internet knows that you can’t misuse buzzwords or jumble a situation because that can have serious an lasting consequences lol. Obviously fucking sanders sides ship discourse isn’t going to alter the course of reality or anything, and it’s so stupid and petty you’d think people would move past feeling personally attacked, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t good practice for the real world. They’re right, in telling you to get off tumblr. If you cannot exist in online spaces without being “purposely triggered” then you are not mature or mentally well enough to be on the internet. I’m not saying this to be mean, kiddo - I genuinely want the best for you. You seem to have taken every precaution to shield yourself from this ship, but it still isn’t working. If it comes down to your mental health, it’s a lot easier to remove one person than a whole portion of the fandom who has every right to Tumblr and online spaces and sharing their content with each other on those online spaces. No one is saying you don’t have the right to protect yourself and live a safe, happy, healthy life. But you cannot infringe on others’ lives to get it. Triggers exist, unfortunately, and it’s impossible to block them out completely. You are doing your best and I’m so proud of you, but you need to stop blaming strangers for what happened to you. They’re not responsible for your mental well-being - you are. Weird triggers, right? Either way, people talk about those things constantly. I’ve blocked all the tags I can think of and surrounded myself with people who won’t talk to me about them, but sometimes a post falls through the cracks, or I see an ad. They shouldn’t be romanticizing my trauma! How dare they, that can send me spiraling for weeks, and I’ve made it very clear to the people I’ve talked to that I don’t want to see it. But... I haven’t talked to the post maker. I have talked to any of the people who created or approved of that ad. They have no fucking clue what my triggers are. And, yeah, of fucking course an incest ship and care bears are two completely different things, but that doesn’t really mean... anything. People who ship incest are absolutely entitled to a place to do that, even if you or I don’t personally agree with it. That’s what the internet is for baby, to share your interests, no matter how weird, gross, “morally incorrect”, or triggering. In a perfect world, we would be able to keep all of this content separate. But until then, you need to take your mental health in your own hands. (There’s a lot to say about your take on “romanticizing trauma” and “fiction affects reality” but this is neither the time nor place, and to be honest, take no offense to this, but you do not seem like the type of person I’d enjoy a debate with!
