              There was something that felt FAMILIAR about this stranger — Levi couldn’t place it really, but it was definitely there. He KNOWS he never met him when he was back at home, it was clear that this kid wasn’t a demon. But Levi couldn’t help but squint slightly and scratch his head in thought while looking at him. Did he see him in the human world when he was passing through, maybe… ? No, he’d likely remember him given the very LITTLE amount of human interaction he got when he went up to the human world. 

              He wasn’t the type that enjoyed talking to strangers, but this was REALLY bugging him at this point. Slowly, he opened his mouth to form words, hesitating as he began, “ D…do I… Know you from somewhere…? ” Maybe he was from something he watched.. or…. played…. ? // @luminsoul​

The voice shouldn’t startle him considering Kaito had already caught the guy looking at him, but it still causes him to jump a bit at the sudden approach and question. While it all catches him off guard─ the implication of the question strikes Kaito as the strangest of it all. As far as he’s aware, this world is different from his own. But, then again, if some strange magic can bring him here from another world ( he’s still debating how much of this he believes ), surely it could bring others. But... even considering that, it still doesn’t make sense.

Lest he’s heard of the Ultimates, assuming they’re from the same world ...? 

Kaito doesn’t know what conclusion to come to, so he puts on his trademark, friendly grin.

“ Can’t say I know you personally, but... ” he offers a thumbs up, “ Maybe ya’ heard of me? Luminary of the Stars, youngest and bravest astronaut in training there is! ”

He’s not quite sure what compelled him to wander this deep into the park and away from the general populous. It’s only been mere days since arrived ─ it feels like so much has happened, yet, simultaneously, so little. In general, in typical Kaito - fashion, he’s remained optimistic. Already made friends with his roommate. Discovered he, somehow, someway, had some sort of gravity-altering power.

And he’s alive.

All that and more yet he feels stuck ─ little explanation, little feeling of control. Thoughts and feelings chaotic, and while he’s mostly been able to keep his head on straight . . . 

                           Even the best of heros need a break sometimes,                                                                                                  ... right ?

Perhaps that’s why he found himself wandering away from the bustling city and away from city lights, hoping to find solace in a brilliant night sky and constellations and finally clear his head a little. Take a breather and slow down, even if he feel ashamed of such actions. He should be thrilled, right? And that’s how he’s happened upon a small pond. His shoulders slouch, hands hanging limply at his side as he gazes into it’s reflection─ expression somber, quite literally the opposite of his usual poise. He’s not sure how many moments pass as he tries to collect his thoughts and organize his memories.                                  ( memories of his final moments )

Fists clench at his sides, body tense once more. The more he tries to make sense of things, the less he feels a grasp on reality.

Before he can linger in such thoughts any longer, a noise catches his attention. It takes seconds for Kaito to become dangerously aware of how alone he is, very deep in a park in the middle of the night. He swallows, trying to quell his now-trembling figure as he turns to the source.

“ Wh - Who’s ─ ” he tries to sound tough but can’t quite keep the shaking out of his voice. But he stops, eyes widening and frame relaxing immediately as he sees the source manifesting from darkness.

“ Harumaki ... ? ”

Violet hues scan the nearly-deserted cupboards ─ or, perhaps it would be more accurate to describe them as a FOUNDATION to fill. A starting point. Alright, maybe that’s putting too poetic of a spin on things. But, hey !! There’s really no harm in trying to put a positive spin on a confusing situation─ ‘ confusing ’ being a gross understatement.

At least there’s no present, life or death threat ... unless he were to consider the barren kitchen a contender. But Kaito isn’t too worried. As far as he’s considered, going out for groceries is the least of his worries! It could be fun, even. Especially if he drags his new roommate along.

Sure, getting pulled into an unfamiliar city and being expected to live with a stranger would be a BIT jarring, but Kaito’s faced worse before and he’ll jump on the opportunity to meet a new, interesting friend! Speaking of... 

He’s moved onto the fridge, where he’s spotted a particularly strange milk jug. The milk itself seems normal, but the label? 

“ Hey, Doc, right? ” Kaito beckons, turning to face the other with curious eyes, “ The hell is a ‘Tardis’ , anyway? ”
