I checked outside to see if I left the light on, but the light coming in was from the moon. My dog saw me, gently put her head on my leg, asking for petting. We played, no lights on, just the moonlight shining through the window. There is no poetry, there is only life, really. I'm glad I choose to stick around, because it means I get to see this, that I can be loved, that I can find joy in little things.
