Saint Dymphna. I love her because she was there for me while I was in PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) getting diagnosed with OCD. I was going through severe religious anxiety and when I heard about her it really comforted me knowing that someone my age (at the time I was 15) was doing all these miracles for people who were struggling like me:3

I don’t mean actual worship. I mean the hand waving, eye closing, sing-songy stuff so popular in evangelical circles today.

And I can’t help but wonder. If they scream songs to the God that they claim to love

To drown out the sounds of screaming children being murdered overseas.

Or if they close their eyes to block out the sight of the poor freezing to death outside their church.

What does the Creator think when we harm with the hands he gave us to heal

When we treat church like a country club

“HOW GREAT IS OUR GOD” they proclaim
