I was wondering if there is a fic where Tom is Severus Snape father or parental figure and he's cure from his insanity

I was reading a severitus fic where sev adopt/take care of harry who has de-aging problem ? I don't have knowlage on this medical condition, anyways it was untagged but Tom treat both Severus and bratty as his son and I kinda like the dynamic of tom being sevurus's father and hope there is more of this trope

i like the idea of a severitus scenario where snape and harry build this weirdly unconventional bond in fourth year solely because of what happened to harry socially during that school year

like almost the entire school teamed up to bully harry due to his entrance into the tournament..( making whole ass badges is insanely petty and over the top)

he basically ends up with the whole school targeting him, even his best friend

so he goes into his shell and starts trying to find ways to avoid being around his classmates as much as possible, to the point of purposely getting detention with snape sense he’d likely to be found there + they’re unfathomly long bc snape can b a bit of an ass

snape by chance witnesses harry getting bullied by gryffindoors of all people and pulls him aside after they run off

obviously harry’s reluctant to talk to snape about what’s going on and snapes going through the whole “but he’s a POTTER” —> “he’s his own person and he clearly needs support that no one in his circle has been able to provide for him and so i will do so…begrudgingly.” mindset change..

snape begins assigning him even more detentions but instead of setting him to cauldron cleaning and the likes he ends up teaching him brewing and slowly getting harry to come out of his shell

they end up building a werid alliance

snape finds him getting bullied again and is able to intervene, everyone hates him even more, severitus angst argument (“i’m trying to help you” “you’re making it worse!”)

obvious reconcile they get really close and harry eventually (and accidentally) lets it slip he’s been at the dursleys. he starts off with talking about how he was made fun of or isolated by the other kids and when he off handedly mentions the appearance difference between himself and dudley everything goes crazy

snape, who was already worried about harry turns full maternal mode, goes down the usual severitus adoption plot line where he gives up his position as spy.

he also strikes back at the bullies with extreme force via point taking (i’m talking a lot) Id say detentions too but they’re clearly reserved already aren’t they…

i really like the idea of snape making it public he’s begun to enjoy harry’s presence (a trope really well written by a fanfic someone reccomended to me…yk who you are…) He does this because harry obviously needed at least one person on his side and it ended up stunting most of the bullying

horrible tormenting attempt from either the gryffs or slitherins idk pick ur poison and cut to major severitus angst with snape having a fucking conniption

I saw that you finished reading tsctir. Did you read the novel in Korea or is there some English translation out there for the whole novel? Found the we took yesterday, and am now totally insane about it. Can't remember the last time I found something this good!

Hi otakuwithlife (I love your username), yes, there are fan translations in English! However, there isn’t a single file of the whole novel yet (except for an unedited MTL that’s almost unreadable), so let me explain below.

Chapters 1–261: You can find them here. The file I originally read only covered Chapters 1–167 actually, but I can’t seem to find that link anymore. However, as far as I can tell, the file at this link seems to be the same translation, updated to Chapter 261.

That same link also includes another file with the translation for Chapters 001–856, but this is the bad MTL I mentioned. Personally, after reaching Chapter 167, I bought the whole thing in Korean and alternated between the two for a while, before discovering the resources below.

Chapters 1–380: sfstranslations is translating the entire novel and also adding notes and interesting tidbits. You need to request access, and the files can’t be downloaded to read on a Kindle, for example, but the translation is good and currently in progress. If I’m not mistaken, this covers Chapters 1–380 so far.

Chapters 350–870: Recently, tele-portal here on tumblr edited the rest of the MTL and shared it <3. I switched to this translation as soon as I found out.

Other translations: lalune9x is also translating several chapters. They’re mostly from the end of the novel or part of the side story, if I remember correctly. Still, they might be helpful to you later on.

Who was pre-regression Han Yoojin? Because I don't think we've ever met him. I don't mean Han Yoojin, holding Han Yoohyun's corpse in his arms, I'm talking about the Han Yoojin who spent five (5) YEARS thinking his precious baby brother straight up DESPISED him. I'm taking about disabled Han Yoojin, alcoholic Han Yoojin, self-loathing, never-good-enough Han Yoojin. This is a man we know only from the sparse memories that Yoojin doesn't want to remember. This is a man who, after experiencing F I V E Y E A R S of harassment from his brothers guild, reporters, and the general public, forgave his brother instantly.

The Han Yoojin we know spent a couple of paragraphs trying to reconcile an image of a hateful brother, and one who loved him enough to rush to save him, before receiving key memories to explain everything. Our Han Yoojin has an unshakeable belief in his brother and his love, because he literally died for him. Thats the opening scene. Han Yoohyun's death and unquestionable love/devotion are two key facts that inform the Han Yoojin we know and love in novel. So, I would like to ask again: WHO WAS PRE-REGRESSION HAN YOOJIN?

Recently I’ve been thinking about the different types of love languages in Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, The S-Classes That I Raised, and Lout of the Count’s Family…

Not to say that each of the stories describes only one single kind of love language; they are, after all, all novels that focus on Found Family, with many different types of relationships between characters that express their love for each other in as many different ways.

Yet, I’ve noticed how at the core of each of these three stories there is one specific act of love that recurs more than others, and that becomes the true Theme each novel revolves around.

In Lout of the Count’s Family, the main love language is providing food and a home.

“Home” is such an important concept in LCF that Cale collects houses like they were pokemon cards. The source of his trauma when he was a child as Kim Roksu was that he was not given sufficient food, and that where he lived was not truly a shelter where he could feel safe, just a place he was trapped in.

And I don’t think there are ever more than 2 chapters in a row without a character offering food to others, or asking if they’re hungry, if they’ve eaten, why haven’t you eaten, here have some apple pie!!

Cale uses his newfound money and power to make sure his loved ones are provided for. That’s how he adopts bonds with most of his new family.

The first thing Raon does after he’s freed from the prison he’s been trapped in all his life, is to leave food for this hopelessly weak human.

Choi Han, who has lived alone in a dangerous forest for decades, would do anything to protect his home.

The Crown Prince, who has been isolated and untrusting of everyone ever since his mother died, makes sure to always have cookies in his bedroom in case guests “break in” for a visit at any time of the day or the night.

I love you, you’ll never be hungry again. I love you, my home is your home.

In The S-Classes That I Raised, the main love language is words.

Yoojin’s powers are literally activated by telling people “I love you”. Because all he ever wanted was to say “I love you” to his brother one last time.

Because the tragedy that starts the story happens because Yoohyun loved and protected his hyung in secret for years. Silence creates misunderstandings, it creates distance, it leads to loss.

Loving someone isn’t enough, tell them! Reassure them. Remember what they say, because their words are important!!

Ever since the regression, Yoojin always let people know when he loves them and appreciates them. “You’re perfect, you’re cute, you’re so talented, you’re so handsome, you are loved.”

And as the novel progresses, whenever Yoojin is in pain, or doesn’t know what to do, he turns to Sung Hyunje because he needs to be reassured, he needs to know he did well, he needs to hear he is still important to the people he loves.

I love you, please know that I love you! I love you, please tell me you love me back.

And finally, in Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, the main love language is time.

Time is one of the greatest sources of horrors in ORV. Eternities upon eternities of suffering, being trapped for ages in the same, hopeless loop, wishing for everything to just stop.

And yet, time is also the greatest gift characters give to each other.

Because the wounds Dokja suffered as a child, and then again and again through his whole life…. They need time to heal. They need so much time. They will probably take forever.

So let them take forever.

Despite how much pain and worry he causes his companions by giving up on himself over and over again, his companions never give up on him. And he doesn’t understand why!! He doesn’t think he’s worth it. But it’s not his choice, it’s theirs. And they will go through as many tries, as much pain, as much time as it takes, before they can finally save him.

I love you, so I will wait fifty years for you. I love you, so I will live through thousands of lifetimes to find you. I love you, so I will read and reread your story for the rest of time, just to keep you alive.

Hannibal and Will are, from the start, way more important to each other than we realise. The entire series is, jokes aside, ultimately really a love story above all else. Here's why:

The very first episode of the series we are introduced to Will Graham, our narrator. Even though the series is called Hannibal, the main character is Will and the series follows him through the events of his life. The funny thing is, the series could have started anywhere. Will's childhood, how he became a profiler, a very important turning point in his life, somewhere during his marriage with Molly, so on and so forth. It could have started anywhere, but no, Will's story starts with the day he meets Hannibal Lecter.

In the end, everything that is shown, everything we see or that is said, loops back to Hannibal. If it's not about Will, then it's about Hannibal. The series starts with a first meeting (which Hugh AKA our romcom king actually called a ''classic rom com setup'') and ends with the supposed ''end'' of their story. Not the end of the Chesapeake Ripper story, not the end of anything else, but the end of Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter. It began with them, it ended with them.

Again I remind you that this story is told mainly from Will's point of view. Almost every part that includes him is about Hannibal, and almost every part that includes Hannibal is somehow about Will. We never get anything about Will's childhood. We never get to know anything about him as a person except for the five year time frame in which the series takes place. Five years where three are not shown. Why? You'd think that if this story was only about Will, we would have gotten scenes from his marriage, from his attempt at healing, from the new home he built, but no. Will rejects Hannibal, and then all of a sudden three years skip by to the day he is pulled back into the darkness. Pulled back right into Hannibal's arms. 

The psychological horror and crime were never the most important thing in the series. It's merely the relationship between the two men. Will's story begins and ends with Hannibal, there is no further meaning in explaining or showing anything else. It's only ever Hannibal for him. That's all there is. It's a love story about two people who meet each other, find out their own and one another's true colours along the way, explore and develop their relationship and eventually end up together (in whatever way that may be). Hannibal is a love story before it's anything else, because all it's focussed on is Will and Hannibal's relationship. All other characters and relationships are a metaphor for the two of their and their little world. It's a story about acceptance, understanding and love before it's one about murder and cannibalism. That's what makes the whole thing so weirdly sweet despite the dark and disturbing nature of the show, which is a reflection of the minds of its main characters.
