So, after a month of realizing that I should help myself, and not drown / criticize / humiliate, I can say that the results have already become better! My mental state is still unstable due to the unaccustomed, but damn it, the praise technique has given its results! So I will keep this blog from time to time to monitor my condition, without the risk that I will lose the physical media in the form of diaries again.
- I have become a little more confident in myself, and now I can almost draw every day as before without damaging my hand.
- It became easier for me to look at myself from the outside, without feeling ashamed.
-Start treating my art easier! This is probably the most important thing, because I was constantly criticizing every line and my style, which did not become "neat" in any way. It was terribly stressful, because my work time was not shortened, but only increased, because I could not accustom myself to standards. That's stupid, isn't it? the standard in drawingđ€đ€đ€
In short, as I was a sketchman, it remained that way, and I will stop trying to change this in favor of commerce and look up to Asians, because this only worsened my condition.
Now I draw a little more calmly, dividing my attention into two - commissions and my sketches, without stupid oppression, alternating between each other to achieve balance in my soul âșïž
hello ! first of all i wanted to say that your art is awasome and you have one if the most eye pleseant artstyles ever đžđž second of all i wanted to ask what canvas size do you use? it's just that everytime i want to draw a full body it looks so small!
thanks in advance đžđž
Thank you for the nice words, I am very glad that I have something that catches the eye of those who see my art.âșïžđ
Regarding the size of the canvas - since I paint in Ibis paint, it is important for me that nothing freeze, so I usually take up to 3500px on either side. But because of this, you can sometimes see pixels, and I really don't like them, so if necessary, I can increase it to 4000px. And so, the advice to anyone is to change the layout of the drawing, or force your inner critic not to scold yourself, because small does not mean bad.
Because when I first started posting my crooked drawings in the age of 16-19, I thought that I would never draw robots, because they are complex, the shine of metal and glass did not attract me, since I did not even know how to depict it. But it just so happened that at first I remembered about Bakugans, then I drew Thundercats 2011, where robot similar armor are present. And there, Transformers Prime happened to me for the first time. Yes, I've never watched them in action before, I've only heard and seen toys from other children, but again, I've always been able to skip the layer of "classics" that everyone knows about except me.
I was just sitting there, and I didn't know how to draw robots (and even now I'm not particularly cool at drawing shiny metal and glass) - so I did as it turned out. And surprisingly it turned out very well! I don't know, the Transformers fandom and all these fanarts were able to awaken something special in me, and this allowed me to develop further as an artist!
So I'll say a few things that "provoke" me to draw them even better - an interesting structure and functions, shapes and the fact that there are any variations of colors, which gave me a plus, as someone who loves colors! After all, if you leave my w&b art, are they all, well, blots? And colors are, yes, my favorite theme, which always inspires me.
I can also say with certainty that for some reason my robots are better than people! To be honest, it bothered me a lot, but now I'm on a chill, trying not to scold myself for not doing something right. Therefore, I hope one day my art with people and the like will become even cooler.đđ„
Thanks for the tag @likesugarandcyanide ! Why not? This is cute. I picked the seaweed because my thesis is on kelp (even though the picture here is of feather boa kelp and mine is bull kelp heh). @sol-arise0 @bellonathedragonborn

A Well Time Apart
Mamoru kissed his wife Hana goodbye before leaving their dwelling. It shocked him that after so many years, Volfogg had finally returned. Past memories of them working together towards a common goal had always brought a smile to young man. Their desire to protect kept them strongly bonded together. To finally see Volfogg after so long, Mamoru couldnât hold in the amount of joy that spread through his body.
Volfoggâs message asked Mamoru to meet him Orbital Base before they could head out somewhere where no one might bother them. It wasnât unusual that both wanted time together. Their feelings were not a secret. Volfogg cared about Mamoru and still remained as curious as ever especially when Mamoru married Hana.
That tall purple robot stood at the entrance of Orbital Base when Mamoru arrived. A smile graced Mamoru as he approached the robot. Warmth gathered around the young man as he stared up at a friend he had known for so long that being with him brought back all the good and bad memories both had been through.
âYou look good,â spoke Mamoru as he followed the tall purple robot. While Orbital base was boring to stay at, they both found a spot that allowed them to be alone.
âEverything going well for you?â asked Volfogg.
Mamoru nodded, âVery well. Hana is doing well and so is Tsubasa. She is our daughter.â
Volfogg looked at him curiously before smiling. It wasnât hard to see that both missed the company of one another. Volfogg had become quite curious of the young man especially since Mamoru was quite different than any other humans he had met.
Silent sat with them as Volfogg offered Mamoru a chance to sit in his normal spot. Mamoru laid a hand upon Volfoggâs face. The tall purple robot smiled at Mamoru. Mamoru moved forward to place a small kiss on his cheek. It wasnât a romantic kiss as both did not see that within each other but one of protection and guardianship as Volfogg acted as Mamoruâs bodyguard.
âSeeing you doing well makes me happy,â spoke Volfogg. He brought a finger up to run it down Mamoruâs side. âIt makes me very happy.â
âI never expected it all. Earth is finally better than it was. I actually have a family of my own.â
It was true that Mamoru had a difficult time at the beginning. He had no idea regarding his ability or who he even was. When Volfogg started hunting him, things started changing. Volfogg noticed Mamoru as someone special and decided to code name him as a Special Agent or even Lieutenant. Together Volfogg and Mamoru saved millions of lives.
Now that everything had been settled, both had gone on their separate ways. It had been some time since either have seen each other. Life has a crazy way of doing that, but everyone adjusts. Mamoru sat comfortably against Volfogg as if it was just yesterday. While life had changed, it didnât really mean their friendship or devotion to each other changed, only that their paths have changed.
âI told you about my life, but you said nothing about yours.â
Volfogg looked at Mamoru. Mamoru sat with his hands upon his knees and he stared at the big robot. Volfogg sighed, âEverything is the same as when we last parted.â
âWell, that is good, right?â
âYes,â nodded Volfogg.
Mamoru looked at Volfogg. While Volfogg didnât show many emotions, Mamoru knew there was something off. When last parting, almost everyone had been locked in space with only him and another allowed to leave. Could something have changed?
âWhat happen to the others after we departed?â
Volfogg looked over at Mamoru and smiled. âWe separated and were allowed to finally move on. I wouldnât be here if that wasnât possible.â
Mamoru smiled before jumping up and hugging the side of Volfoggâs face. âThat is good. It made me sad when we had to leave.â
âYes. It affected quite a few, but we had hope.â
âHope is always a good thing to have,â spoke Mamoru as he sat back. He looked around enjoying the view with his friend when an idea popped into his head. âVolfogg, follow me. I have something to show you.â
Volfogg raised a metal eyebrow at his friend but nodded his helm. Volfogg helped Mamoru upon the ground. Mamoru waved over his shoulder beckoning the tall purple robot to follow him. Upon the walk back through the Orbital base, Mamoru had contacted his wife asking him for a favor. His wife sounded happy which made him happier.
The entrance to Orbital base held one vehicle. Standing beside was a beautiful woman holding a small child within her arms. Mamoru waved. Volfogg looked at his friend before looking forward.
âVolfogg, I want you to meet my daughter,â spoke Mamoru as he approached Hana. Hana had already met Volfogg in the past and knew how strong of a connection Mamoru and Volfogg had. She was extremely thankful that Volfogg had protected Mamoru through all their adventures.
Hana smiled and nodded towards Volfogg. âIt is nice to see Volfogg. When Mamoru told me of his news, I was so happy for him. He constantly kept checking for any news regarding you and the others.â
âIt is nice to see you again, Hana,â replied Volfogg as he bent down to be leveled with the human. âAnd who is this little one?â Volfogg brought a huge digit forward and pointed at the small child.
âThis is Tsubasa, our daughter,â replied Hana.
The small child looked at the large digit before her and then up at Volfogg. Volfogg being as curious as ever reached a bit forward allowing his digit to touch the childâs hair and trace down the side of the childâs face. The child smiled and grabbed on. Volfoggâs optics widen as Mamoru stood to the side smiling.
Everything comes around. Eventually time is spent away, but time doesnât remain still. It continues it flow allowing change to evolve. Mamoru had to say goodbye to a dearest friend and one point, one that protected him and guided him through many adventures. While he expanded his life away from him, eventually marrying and having a child, he never forgot about his tall robot friend. In the end, it was a well time apart especially when the smiles on everyoneâs face showed how much had missed and how happy of a reunion it had become.
