legends of avantris (a pretty popular actual play show, you may recognize them from the animated shorts that shoocharu does for them, like this one of the gryla incident) came out with a kickstarter for a dnd 5.5e space opera expansion earlier this month called neon odyssey. they also released a music video by the same name to promote the expansion (which you can watch here). the visuals in the video were animated by doig & swift and the knights of the light table, who also worked on the starlight brigade music video for twrp back in 2019.

tonight, on an avantris stream, they revealed that the 15 million milestone for the neon odyssey kickstarter is an adventure module featuring the starlight brigade characters, with art done by doig and swift. neon odyssey is currently at about 11.8 million dollars as of the time of writing this, and there's only a few days until the kickstarter ends. back it here if you're interested and able because oh my god

i'm genuinely losing my FUCKING mind over this. i highly recommend hitting up this kickstarter if you have the money and any interest whatsoever. neon odyssey is fantastic and i literally just started a group to playtest the materials that are already out. holy fucking shit dude

Liking Eliot Spencer from leverage feels ... embarrassing is the wrong word but it's like. Of course I like the one with kind eyes and a kind heart and a tragic backstory and buff arms who beats people up and also gets beat up all the time and has a Cool Fight Scene each episode and actually gets injured and you'll see him having to deal with those and he speaks softly at times and others has almost a growl in his voice and. his violent capabilities and shelter dog rizz have captivated me.

One time I told my professor I didn't use a leaf reference for a tree I was drawing and he made me scrap the entire project. I can't tell you how many times a professor has told me to stop trying to "figure out" a pose and just trace a photo. This is just how it's done guys.

A tribute piece of crossover fanart for Knights of the Light Table's work on what's now two of my favorite music videos of all time: Starlight Brigade and Neon Odyssey. I was so moved and inspired by their latest animation, and the pure artistry and passion that went into it, that I had to draw something to celebrate both with a shared theme of space. Thought it be cool to team up Strive and Pyke in one image.
