This is the best thing ever
I don't know who possessed me but apparently drawing depressed men = the beginning of possibly getting out of art block.
Simon "Ghost" Riley edition
Edit: this is a quick sketch with messy shading from my sketchbook
One thing I am tired of in both canon and fandom is the idea that if a Jedi slips or gives into their fear or anger and channels the dark side that that's it. There's no redemption or coming back from it. That if a Jedi were to slip and struggle along the way that they can never come back from that choice.
That makes no freaking sense.
Literally the original trilogy ended happily because Luke was able to reach out and help convince Darth Vader, his father to make the right choice for the first time in literally twenty years.
And before anyone says anything no I am not trying to say that you shouldn't or can't explore an alternative universe or take to certain situations in canon (Ezra originally becoming a sith, Cal falling after fallen order) that is an entirely different thing and can be very enjoyable to write or read. What I am saying is that people are so quick to condemn characters to little boxes that don't exist in canon when doing characterization or character studies and that sucks.
Ezra was tempted because he was afraid of losing everything. He came back from that and was okay. Obi-Wan lived in darkness and fear for years because he lost everything, he found his way back to the light. Ahsoka was raised and trained to be a soldier instead of a Jedi and spent more years running and surviving than she did living as a Jedi, and yet she eventually found her way back. Anakin Skywalker fell and helped bring about the end of the Republic and the Jedi order, and yet after twenty years he made the first step in coming back to the light.
Jedi aren't 100% light and good. Some can carry that light, but most have to struggle along the way, that's simply how it works. That's how life in general fictional and real works. If there wasn't redemption possible life would be really sad and honestly awful. If Jedi fell after one mistake there wouldn't be a Jedi order.
Stop making characters worse than they are because you don't want them to redeem themselves, they are allowed to make mistakes, fix their mistakes, and grow.
I wonder what the modifications are to a clone's DNA that the Kaminoans made. Like can the average clone hold their breath for 7 minutes. In the unbara arc rex says the men have kept up their (brisk walking) pace for 12 hours and they're "getting tired". How long can they go without food? Without water? Are they just naturally more flexible at baseline than the average human? Is their bone density and lung capacity higher? Do they have a more efficient circulatory system? Do they not build up as much lactic acid when they work out? Do they burn fat more efficiently? Do they have better memory? Better eye sight? Are they immune to every known allergen in the galaxy? I need to knooooooow
Just a thought..
But Jango Fett wasn’t very tall. So maybe the Longnecks altered his DNA so that the clones would be taller. We know they did this because of the alphas. But what if they did it to all the clones?
Obiwan is 5’10 (1.78m). Now imagine the clone wars exactly the same except every clone is around 6’1.
Obiwan giving a battle simulation and just disappearing in a group of clones. The clones huddling around their Jedi, who are mostly small than them, and blocking them from sight. Protective clones.
Also Anakin is less intimidating when all the clones are a similar height to him.
I adore when people have a similar head cannon to mine (even if this is a common one). I always like to push it a little further to where the "common" clone are the only ones that are 6'1 while the rest are taller.
The alpha class with my theory would be pushing 6'5 - 6'7 depending on what works best.
Obi-Wan wears like 53 layer of robes so everyone assumes he’s kinda soft especially compared to his ‘in the prime of his youth’ former Padawan but then one day he goes shirtless to spar and he’s shredded, he has an 8 pack. Clones and Jedi alike are choking on drinks and tripping into walls. Ahsoka is covering her eyes and screaming because that’s basically her grandpa. Anakin has to throw a robe over Obi-Wan like The Birth of Venus.
I BLAME YOU ALL
This is canon. 🤣
PERFECT to have Kit Fisto giving the high five 😂😂😂 God bless you artists
Absolut cinema
I want to see how clones are generally more athletic than the average human. The strength, the speed, the flexibility and agility. The stamina especially. I think it'd be interesting if the average human can go three days without food and clones have a "starvation mode" that can be activated under low-food, stressful situations where their metabolism momentarily drops to conserve energy.
I also want to see the downsides, of course. Yes clones are very strong and they can go long periods of time without eating or drinking, but that need to build of that muscle and those fat reserves somehow. Their daily caloric intake is HIGH, especially because they work out every day and go to battle. Ration bars? Like two and a half meals worth of dense calories. They'd make a regular person sick, probably. Definitely not recommended for children. Jedi get their own set unless they're burning similar amounts of calories on average. The daily meals in the mess hall are less intense.
Maybe their eyes can adjust quickly to the dark or other changes in ambient light. Maybe this also increases the risk of certain eye problems later in life (but since the majority of clones don't reach even middle ages, this isn't a problem).
They're smarter by training/education and have very strong memories because of that. That also means they can't forget traumatizing things that happen to them -- or it's harder to forget, at least.
He is hot and he knows it
I’m never did arts like this and.. hope you will like it. I’m still find something my own and one day I’ll get it 🫡
