simply the fact that different body types for women go in and out of style throughout the decades should be enough to tell you that womenās bodies are considered consumable goods under capitalism

You lean back against the large tree, snuggling yourself closer into the bark and grass as you try to find a comfortable position. Your compact easel resting upon your lap while a giddy chuckle left your lips, eager to draw.
Taking one last look at the breathtaking view of the woods in front of you, you picked up your pencil, various ideas and compositions flowing and morphed within your imagination. Once the tip of the pencil connected with the paper, you heard a twig snap several feet behind you.
You lunge to your feet, plucking out a blade you mainly kept to sharpen your supplies, but also served as a weapon. Tilting your head, you study the sound of the snap and which direction it came from. You hold your breath, not expecting any sort of confrontation considering this is a portion of the woods you frequented and knew people rarely entered.
As you carefully walked closer, a small white big-eared lemur you were awfully too familiar with popped out of the tall reeds.
āMomo! WaitāMomo?ā You sheathed your blade as you neared him, unsure it was the lemur himself. Your guess confirmed correct when he jumped up to you while letting out happy trills.
āWhat are you doing here, buddy? Did you get losāā
āNice work, Momo.ā
You and Momo turn your heads to find Aang traversing through the thin vines, revealing himself to you with a soft smile.
āSurprise.ā
Now, it's not that you weren't excited to see an old friend, especially one whom you were able to confide in without judgement.
You were!
It's just that it's been sometime you have actually spoken to each other. And that's with the entire gang.
Who were you kidding? You practically ghosted them. You stopped answering letters, stopped attending the quarterly hangouts at Ember Island, even stopped going to missions.
You'd be lying to yourself if you said you didn't know why.
Everyone led such high-energy lives. Zuko being Fire Lord. Toph running an Earthbending school. Aang obviously being the Avatar. Katara teaching and learning healing Waterbending techniques. And Sokka starting his engineering career back at the Southern WaterTribe.
And don't get you started with Republic City.
It was all too much for you. The hustle and bustle of the constantly changing world. You needed something grounding. Something you had a deeper connection with, that's why you returned home. Where the trees grew well acquainted with the silence, where the only music was the chirps of the birds and the breeze that blew through the chimes.
Albeit, you could've said something to them. You tried but couldn't force yourself to. Surely, now you really had hoped you'd done so, instead you find yourself awkwardly smiling back at Aang as you let out a small āheyā.
Aang hums in understanding as he nods his head. The two of you are leaning onto the tree you had been against earlier.
āYou have your wants and needs. There's no need to feel ashamed of following what feels right to you.ā
āYeah, but to outright ghost you guys?ā You muttered behind your hands, finding it embarrassing that you somehow still manage to miscommunicate your feelings at your big age.
āRight,ā he reluctantly agrees, ābut if it helps, we don't blame you.ā
You shift, peeking from behind your hands, āWhy?ā
He lets out an amused laugh at your childish action.
āHmm,ā he hums for a moment, āYou were able to do something I'm sure some of us wished we could do.ā
āSometimes I wish I could handle things the way you guys do.ā
āThe thing is, you don't have to. What's important to us is that you're happy. Wouldn't you want that for us as well?ā
āOf course I do,ā you straightened, āI justā I-ā
You purse your lips at the lack of a coherent thought, finding yourself tripping over your tongue. Aang offers you an encouraging nod.
āI don't like attention. I don't want people to know I exist. Wellā its like, I want to help but without all the eyes on me. Eyes equals expectations, and expectations lead to responsibilities I never signed up for!ā
āOur eyes, orā¦?ā Aang asks in a lighthearted manner.
āPublic eye.ā
āRightāyeahā we know that all too well.ā
āExactly!ā You gestured to him, āI only had a taste, and nope not for me.ā
He chuckles at your analogy.
āThat's understandable.ā
Silence lulls between you two as a light breeze dances between the twigs and leaves of the trees within the woods. The guilt within twinges as you began to really realize how childish your decision was.
āI should've said something instead of ghosting you guys,ā you softly admitted, āI'm sorry.ā
āThere's no need to apologize. We all hoped you were okay.ā
āEven Toph?ā You smiled as you quirk a brow while crossing your arms.
āEhh, she has her own way of worrying.ā
That earns a fit of laughter coming out of you both, something you had missed dearly.
āWhy don't you come back and hangout? We're meeting up not too far from here.ā
āYou sure?ā you smirked, discussing your hesitancy with a joke.
Aang's brows furrowed as his lips pulled into a tight line. You knew he caught on by his reaction.
āWe miss you.ā
Yep. Those three words are what did it, what made you accept his offer and pack up your supplies, quickly following him over to where Appa was wandering.
On the way over to the reunion, Aang began filling you in on what happened recently with the gang. From spirit world adventures, searching for Airbender artifacts, creating a foundation for Republic City, lastly mentioning how Sokka managed to get one of his prototype bikes to actually fly, earning an amused chuckle from you.
āOh, by the way, Sokka has been asking me about you for weeks on end.ā He complained, his head lolling to the side.
āAh,ā you acknowledged before the pit within your stomach sank even further downā
Fuck! Oh godā
It had just hit like a shit tonne of bricks that when you were exchanging letters with Sokka, you both had mutually agreed to see and write to each other more, finding yourself looking forward to getting closer to him. A part of you sensed he felt the same way, since he consistently made an effort to talk to you and sent you homemade gifts to ātest outā.
Now you felt like a genuine dick. Maybe he decided to move on⦠Well, that doesn't really seem the case since Aang mentioned he has been asking about you of late.
āDid you know about what?ā You tiptoed, paying close attention to Aang's answer and demeanor.
āNo? Anytime I asked he said ājust curiousā.ā He explained with Appa's reins in his hand.
You nod but are left with even more questions. What does he mean by ājust curious?ā What exactly did he want to talk about? Was he upset that I stopped responding?
Aang's concerned brown eyes glance at you for a moment before turning back around, āWhat's wrong?ā
āNoānothing,ā your lips twitched into a convincing smile, āJust a bit anxious that's all.ā
āDonāt be! I'm sure everyone will be happy to see you.ā
You nodded at his words, unaware that you were glancing over Appa's saddle, seeing if you went out on impact if you jumped.
āHere we are.ā He cheered upon landing Appa.
You grab your bag as Aang takes your hand, helping you off Appa. You steadied yourself, noticing the quaint wooden cabin up ahead, in front a lively fire burned, and there 3 people began approaching from where they relaxed.
Your grip tightened onto your bag as your feet subconsciously padded towards them.
āLook who I found.ā Aang beamed.
Katara was the first to notice you, saying your name as she ran up to you, enclosing you in her arms, her fresh and warm scent enveloping you. Next to join was Zuko, his arms easily wrapping around you two. Lastly, Toph, opting to pat your head and ruffle your hair, mumbling out a āWhere have you been?ā Not wanting to be left out, Aang quickly joins and bearhugs all four of you.
A sigh of relief left your lips at their reaction, already accepting you were going to get shunned or turned awayāinstead you were met and received with love.
As they broke away, you took note of one person missing.
āWhere's Sokka?ā
āHe went out to get some firewood before you arrived.ā Zuko spoke with a warm smile.
Toph playfully scoffs as she begins heading back to the fire, āWhat? You want to see that bone-head?ā
Her comment earned a laugh from you, a warmth lit the longing that you so dearly missed from them.
āIts not all of us, if one of us is missing.ā You hummed, feeling an arm loop around yours, whipping your head finding Katara next to you.
āSounds like someone needs to listen to their own advice.ā She chided.
āAh, you got me.ā A deflated chuckle left your lips at the irony of your words.
They lead you to the chairs which circled the fire, noticing drinks and snacks being present led you to assume this was a small retreat.
Katara motioned you to sit next to her, not allowing a no, you sit. A few moments later, your favorite drink is offered to you.
You take one sip as you eye the burning wood in front of you, guilt festering within. They should've been madāangry, even. Yet, here they are welcoming you with open arms, sitting you down next to them, serving you your favorite drink.
A part of youāthe irrational partāwants to reject their kindness and tell Aang to take you back to where you were at previously. That you don't deserve them.
Yet, another part of youāthe rationalāknows this is something you have earned. Worked for. Deserve. They were a part of you that you would fight to protect, and cutting them off was by far the worst thing you could have done.
Your hands tighten around the cup, you clear your throat, garnering the attention of the others.
āZuko, Toph, Katara, Aang,ā you started, anxiety beginning to pulse throughout your body, āI appreciate you guys a lot, I really do. Iāum, I just wanted to apologize for ghosting you guys. I should've been an adult and communicatedāā
āIs she serious?ā
āToph.ā Katara reprimands, her head snapping towards the blind woman.
āWhat? She's acting like she killed someone or something.ā
āShe's apologizing, Toph. Let her finish.ā Zuko cuts in.
āOh come on,ā Toph sighs from the ground, her limbs spread out, āI, for once, don't blame her for disappearing on us. Do you guys?ā
āOf course not!ā
āNo.ā
āNever.ā
āGood,ā Toph aggressively points at you while saying your name, "We've all gone through our own fair share of shit, just next time, let us know. We'll always be here.ā
You sit there in silence for a few seconds before letting out a relieved chuckle, tears threatening to fall.
āI will. Thank you, Tophāyou guys.ā
āIts not all of us, if one of us is missing.ā Aang repeats your earlier statement as he comes up to you and places a hand on your shoulder.
āDamn, I should become some sort of poet.ā You jest.
āMaybe after you catch us up. How has everything been lately?ā Zuko pipes up, scooting his chair closer to yours.
You stood, setting your drink down.āId be more than happy to answer after I go to the bathroom.ā
āOh, it's onto the left, first door to the right.ā Katara gestured towards the cabin.
You shoot her a thumbs up, making your way over to the door. You entered and casually glanced over the interior, everything about it was modest and cozy. The softly lit lanterns warmed the plush rugs and velvety furniture, along with paintings of scenic views. You lingered a few seconds longer before making a bee-line to the bathroom.
Once done with your business, you washed your hands and began looking over your features through the mirror. A bit disheveled mainly because of the ride on Appa earlier, but nothing unfixable. As you begin to adjust your hair, three loud knocks strike the bathroom door, causing you to jump at the sudden noise.
Irritated at the rude gesture, you fiercely opened the door, mouth open ready to chastise the person on the other side.
āKatara, where's the ointment forāā
Sokka's words died on his tongue, his eyes slightly widened at your unexpected presence. He whispers your name, almost like he's making sure you're actually in front of him, āyou're here.ā
āā¦Hi.ā
āWow, I didn't know you'd be here.ā
He takes a step back, you can quickly sense the lack of his usual enthusiasm since times before he'd tackle you with a hug.
āNeither did I, I mean, Aang found meāwell, it was Momo really but Aang was the one who brought me, ā you chuckled nervously, your fingers subconsciously fidgeting with your nails, ā...surprise.ā
āOh, well, it's good to see you're doing okay.ā He musters, his hand rubs the back of his shaved head.
āSaāSame here.ā
He nods at your words, his eyes flickering up to you but mainly stays glued to the floor. He takes another step back, regarding you in a distant smile, that smile being his lips pulled into a taut line.
āWell, I need to ask Katara where a bug bite ointment is,ā He motions to the door.
āI can help you find itāā
āNo,ā he curtly cuts through, ā...thanks. I got it.ā
And with that he turns and walks out the door, leaving you alone within the cabin, once feeling cozy and warm now turning into cold, bitter loneliness.
Of course.
You nod to yourself, he had every right to be upset with you, and for you to just reappear in his life with nothing but a half-assed āhiā. What a joke.
Despite his behavior, you opted to wait it out, giving him the space he seemed to want from you. Joining the group back outside, your eyes scanned for Sokka, noting he was away once again. Every so often he'd return, lightly conversing with everyone besides you, before returning himself to work.
Normally, he'd lounge around with a snack or drink in hand, retelling stories you've all heard a thousand times, and are more than happy to listen to him tell it a thousand times more. He and Zuko would arrange games or quizzes to partake in, sometimes leading us to do hilarious dares to take it a step further.
This time, however, he's just keeping himself busy rather than relaxing. Knowing him for some time, you know that's a glaring sign that he's actively distracting himself from a situation or thought that's been eating at him.
āWoohoo,ā Aang's hand is waved in front of your face, knocking you out of your train of thought, āyou okay?ā
āHm?ā You choked, āyeah, it's just really nice out here.ā You snuggled yourself deeper into the blanket
āIsn't it?ā Katara agreed as she reclined against her seat, Aang resuming massaging her shoulders.
āRemember when you bought that wooden boxy thingy,ā Toph starts, her turn to tell a story.
āArt organizer,ā you corrected before slouching in your seat at the reminder, āand it was beautiful.ā
āPssh-,ā she starts to snicker, ālisten to this,ā she motions to Zuko, āshe saw a box she liked when we went through a market that she saved up for it, and when she bought it and left the vendor, a pack of wild boars ambushed her and trampled the box!ā
āThey literally came out of nowhere! Sokka and Toph saw everything unfold. I had to jump onto the windowsill,ā you chuckled at the memory in disbelief, āmy poor organizer got decimated.ā
Toph bursts out laughing, her hands slamming against the grass while exclaiming she'll always remember how freaked out you were.
And distraught you were. You had been eyeing that organizer for weeks since you three had first passed through that town, giving you some time to save up some coin for it.
Finally when the time came, you enthusiastically headed straight over to the vendor with your hard earned coin, only for your baby to be trampled over dozens of wild boars.
Toph did what she usually does in these situations, which would laugh her ass off. Sokka, however, helped you pluck every scrap of wood you could find of the carnage left behind, and placed it into a sack.
After you three separated to your respective homes, you were under the impression Sokka had thrown out the wooden remnants, you finding no use to them since you had no knowledge of woodworking. Only to be surprised at your family home with Sokka at your door a few weeks later, a gift in hand.
Not only was it just as beautiful as the original box.
Oh, no.
It was stunning.
The deep walnut color matched perfectly with the silver accents of the handle and lock. The hinged latch smoothly reveals the individual cubbies within, each lined with leather. Looking further up, you spot a latch, pulling it out with effortless ease. Not only was it an organizer, but it doubled as a stand.
Your jaw was on the floor. Now wholeheartedly aware how silent he's been, you peer up at him with wide eyes.
āWhere did you find this?ā
āFind?ā He repeats with playful disbelief, ātrust me, you can't find quality like this ANYWHERE; made this myself.ā
āHoly shit,ā you beamed, āthis is beyond beautiful, Sokka, really!ā
āTotally felt bad seeing yours, ya'know, go poof!ā He simulates an explosion.
āNo, this is 100 percent way better! You didn't have to do this.ā
āYou're right,ā he hums, sticking his nose up for a moment, a second later toned arms are pulling you close to him, "I wanted to, for you.ā
His words instantly sent heat to your face, suddenly too aware of his arms around your form and your face into his collarbone.
āBetter take care of it! Once my name gets out there in the invention field, its worth will triple!ā
Your eyes flicker to the bag next to you, the fire light reflecting off the exposed silver handle of the art organizer resting within it. A sinking pit forms in your gut once again, your teeth gnawing at the inside of your cheek.
You quickly stood up from your seat, catching the attention of the group.
āDoes anyone know where Sokka is?ā
Aang, Zuko, and Katara gauged their surroundings, unsure where he was at.
āOver there,ā Toph points over to the wooded area behind the cabin, āhe's been sitting by a tree for the last 20 minutes.ā
āThanks, Toph.ā
With the blanket wrapped around your shoulders you trudge towards the trees, noting the stars and full moon brightly decorating the dimming dark blue sky. You carefully entered the woods, keeping your ears peeled for any noise.
After what seemed to be several minutes of searching through the dimly lit grounds, a defeated sigh left your lips upon approaching a shining stream, ripples of water reflecting back the moonlight.
āI just don't know anymore, Yue.ā
Your ears perk at the familiar voice, you peek around the tree, quickly spotting Sokka sitting close to the riverbank.
āFirst it was you, then Suki, and now-ā he mentions your name.
You can't help but note the words leaving his lips in such a melancholic tone, yet your eyes scan the nearby areas to the best of your ability, not really spotting anyone he could be talking to. You should announce yourself to him instead of eavesdropping a clearly personal conversation, not wanting to lose his trust any further. However, you find yourself remaining still, curious to why he mentioned you.
He groans into his hands, clearly in distress, āMaybe I am just not meant for a relationship. It seemsāit feels like I ruin everything I touch, Yue.ā
You close your eyes, your heart breaking at his confession as you dig your trembling fingers into the harsh bark.
āThats not true.ā
You reluctantly shift away from the tree, revealing yourself to him. āYou don't ruin everything you touch.ā
āShit! How long have you been there?ā He whips towards you, his brows furrowed.
āOnly a few minutes,ā you carefully approached him as you would to an injured animal, āI was looking for you.ā
His posture relaxes, blue eyes meeting yours.
ā...you were?ā
āYeah,ā you hummed softly, gesturing to the spot next to him. āCan I sit with you?ā
He nods scooting over, allowing you access. You take a seat, still leaving a bit of space between you.
The two of you sat there in silence for several beats, letting the running water of the stream fill the air. You swallow down a ball of uneasiness as your eyes flicker towards him before returning back to the sparkling water.
āWhat you said about yourself isn't true, Sokka.ā
His lashes waver, brows raising as he turns away.
You clear your throat, āYou're a wonderful and funny man who creates such stunning and innovative things with nothing more than his brain and hands. A thoughtful man who saw someone's belongings get destroyed by boars and instead of turning away, you crafted something beautiful because you wanted to. Sokka, a fool would have to turn you away and not see you for who you are.ā
He cards his fingers through his pulled back hair, a frustrated exhale left his lips.
āThen why did you stop sending letters? You just drop off the face of the planet. Clearly, I did something to get that kind of treatment from you.ā
āYou didn't,ā you reassured. āI had stuff to think about and I should have been an adult and told you, instead of ignoring you, Sokka. I'm sorry. Trust me, none of it was your fault.ā
āI trust you, but why couldn't you have said anything to me? You're the first person I want to talk to when something happens, good or bad. I thought-ā Sokka shakes his head. āI thought we were forming something.ā
āI was; we were!ā You corrected, leaning forward to meet his eyes.
āThen why? What was it that had made you just stop talking to me?ā
Your brows furrow as you straighten in your spot, eyes scanning the rocks and dirt between rapid blinking.
āI was a coward and got scared,ā you started. āYou are always so busy and productive with your engineering, always helping others. And don't get me wrong, I, too, enjoy doing so, but it gets too much sometimes. I get overwhelmed with what to do, where to go, where to start, who I have to talk to, I start to become numb to it all. It's not easy, and I really admire you for making it seem so⦠natural.ā
You bit your lip, āI don't know if I can keep up without dragging you down.ā
Sokka exhales softly, his blue eyes deep in thought, absorbing your confession.
āYou think I don't get burnt out from time to time?ā
āThats notāā
āNo, I do. I get frustrated that a design doesn't function correctly, it gets set on fire, or it just isn't received well.ā He explains.
āBut do you know what keeps me going? Seeing the way your eyes lit up when I gave you the art case I had made a year ago. The way you thanked me many times after.ā
Sokka clicks his tongue,
āYou're a witty yet reserved woman,ā Sokka whispers your name, ā there's nothing about you that would drag me down. Maybe in this world I need someone to ground me, show me what life is like to slow down.ā
You peer at him, your eyes flickering down to his lips then back to his eyes. Breathing deeply, your ears listen to every word and search for the emotion within.
āI don't likeāI don't want to guess what you're thinking, especially with a matter this serious. I thought I mightve fucked up or something
I need you to tell me outright what's going on, because your happiness and well-being means so much to me. You mean so much to me.ā
Your head hangs in shame, āYou're right, Sokka. I'm sorry I put you through that, it was incredibly selfish of me.ā
āYeah, it wasā¦but I forgive you, and it's not like I couldn't stay mad at you even if I tried.ā He finally gazes back at you, his signature grin forming on his lips as his fingers come up to you to brush back a stray stand of hair.
You soften, lips pulling into a warm smile, body warming up at the touch while you lean into him. Finally being fed with the touch you have foolishly deprived yourself of, your hands find his free one, wrapping your fingers around his warm palm.
ā...Sokka,ā you sighed. āI missed you.ā
He leans into you, angling downwards, his eyes flickering down to your lips while licking his own, āI missed you, too.ā
His chest pounds at the closeness of your face, finding himself moving involuntarily, his hand comes up to your cheek tilting you up towards him.
āCan I?ā He breathes.
āPlease.ā You pleaded softly.
His lips gently press into yours, a heat blooms within your chest at the contact, knuckles turning white as you grip onto your pants.
He slowly pulls away, eyeing your reaction only to be met with a dazed look written all throughout your face that only means one thing:
Kiss me more.
His lips fervently crash into yours, filled with passion and hunger. His hand travels down to your nape, ushering you down, back now resting against the woodland floor. His body angled against yours as his other hand came up to paw at your hip.
A whine slips from your lips between the heated kiss, your hands gripping onto his clothed back and hair. His lips drink up any noise that leaves your throat, earning you a satisfied groan from him. His hand continues to grip your hip, bringing your body to curve into him, hooking your leg over his.
Your swollen lips detache from his, breaths huffing into one another as you gently connect your forehead against his, your mind pleasantly dizzy and brimming with burning happiness.
āI love you.ā
Instead of freezing or acting shocked, Sokka leans into you, his hand coming up to your face as his thumb tenderly brushes along your cheek.
āAbout damn time,ā he playfully chides while saying your name. āI love you, too.ā
Bonus:
Katara's foot bounced, every so often she steals glances towards the woods you had disappeared to roughly 10 minutes ago. Her arms crossed as she grumbled under her breath.
Aang eyes her evident impatience, offering another massage which she quickly shoots down.
āI wonder if she found him yet.ā Zuko pipes up after eating some flaming fire flakes.
āOf course she found him! I'm wondering if that idiot and her made up.ā She gripes. āToph, anything?ā
A wicked grin forms on Toph's features, her brows raising in a brazen manner as she crosses her arms behind her head.
āOh yeah, they made up alright.ā She chuckles deviously. āAnd more.ā
If my user is on here and it's my blog, no you don't see me here.

It was quiet.
Not the heavy kind of quietājust the soft, easy kind that settled in after a long day. The kind that didn't ask anything from you.
You sat nearby, absently fiddling with something in your hands, shoulders a little more tense than you meant them to be. It had been a rough day. Nothing huge, nothing dramatic⦠just one of those days where everything stacked up a little too high.
Gris noticed.
"...long day?" he asked, voice low and steady, like he already knew the answer.
You huffed a quiet laugh. "Is it that obvious?"
"A little."
There was no teasing in it. Just simple honesty.
You didn't say anything after that, just stared down at your hands again. Words felt like too much work right now.
For a moment, neither of you spoke.
Then you felt itāsomething light settling over your shoulders.
You blinked, glancing down.
His coat.
It still held a bit of his warmth.
"...you looked cold," Gris said, like it was the most natural thing in the world.
"I'm notā"
"You are."
"...okay, maybe a little."
That earned the faintest smile from him.
You pulled the coat a little closer around yourself, the fabric heavier than you expectedābut comforting. Grounding.
"...you donāt have to say anything, you know," he added after a moment. "Not everything needs words."
Your grip on the coat tightened slightly.
"...thanks."
He just hummed in response, settling back like he always did, giving you space without ever really feeling far away.
Time passed.
Slow, quiet, easy.
And somehow, without really noticing when it happened, the tension in your shoulders eased. Your thoughts stopped racing. Your breathing evened out.
You leaned just slightly toward him.
Not much.
Just enough.
Gris didnāt comment on it.
Didn't move away, either.
"...feelin' a bit better?" he asked after a while.
You nodded, small but honest.
"Yeah."
Another quiet hum.
"Good."
That was it.
No big speech. No overthinking. No pressure.
Just warmth, shared in the quietāsteady and patient, like he always was.
And for once, that was more than enough.

This one is pretty short cus I didn't have any ideas ouugghhš
Gris Rubion x implied!F!reader; maybe GN!reader if you squint
A/N: ngl I donāt know what to put here this time lol. I have been thinking about making a self insert OC and writing about that, but still currently debating.
TW: none that I know of, besides just sweet fluff :)
Gris who always runs to you first after the heat of battle, him desperately making sure youāre okay.
Gris who loves to hold you close to him at any given opportunity. His favorite being those quiet moments in bed, the sound of your heartbeat bringing him a certain flavor of peace that he hasnāt felt in a while.
Gris who always tries to take care of you. He notices youāre skipping meals due to work? Heās bringing you food. You start to feel a bit under the weather? Heās immediately playing doctor with you and if need be, consults Eisha on how to help you.
Gris who notices any subtle change in your mood. He already has a lot of empathy for others, and with you itās heightened. You need silence and some alone time? Heās got you. You need someone to ground you? Heās the perfect rock. Need a shoulder to cry on and scream into the void? His chest is the perfect muffler.
Gris whoās always so kind to others. If someone needs his help heās right there. Manual labor? Yup. Need someone to talk your emotions through? Yup. Need someone to just laugh with and make the night go by faster? Heās got you. Acts of service is how he shows he cares.
Gris who makes such a perfect weighted blanket whenever you need to ground yourself. His height gives him an advantage for this due to height + weight distribution, and his scent and warmth almost always calms you down; if not make you fall asleep.
Gris who always at least attempts your interests to see what all the fuss is about. You draw? Heāll try to learn. You like a certain genre of books? Heāll give a few of them a try to see if heās a fan of it as well. He is a fan of hobbies that require him to use his hands, so if you sew, knit, or crochet heāll most likely end up liking it. In a different universe I can totally see him being a mechanic or working some other blue collar job.
Chivalry is NOT dead with him! Whenever the crew goes out somewhere or if yāall go on a date, heās always opening the door for you. He prefers to pay the bill himself but will agree to a āoh you paid this time, Iāll pay next timeā sort of agreement if you insist. Always loves to lock arms with you as yāall walk somewhere, and he loves it if you lean up against him during it. He likes feeling like heās your support beam, and also loves the implications of him being your protector even if youāre fully capable of handling yourself.
"Tumblr has the best x reader fics!" Of course. If your freaky and only wants to get pounded by the character with some kinky shit. (I also read the freaky ones sometimes dw)
It's low-key hard to find fluff, domestic, angst fics in this app. Therefore I really wouldn't call Tumblr the best place for x reader fics.
"Oh but, Mayo, why do you even want to have domestic fluff situation with your favorite character??" Because I want to experience those domestic kitchen fanart I've seen across Twitter and Pinterest! Now... Leave me alone.
(I've seen a few good domestic fluff gems on ao3.... Heh!)
"ken, are you even listening to me?" you scolded the man lightly, after finding he had planted yet another kiss to your face as you spoke, his expression was playful when he pulled away; almost childlike.
"i am. what made you think otherwise?" both corners of his lips turned upward just a tad, as though unmoving if you didn't know any better, if you hadn't spend the past few years of your life staring at your husband's handsome face, memorizing its features.
you narrowed your eyes in disbelief but spared him anyway, decided to continue away the story you'd been telling him. "and then she said..." you carried on, chattering animatedly about something you'd claimed was the craziest thing ever all the while nanami was proceeding with his initial plan; bringing both of his hands to tuck your hair behind your ears, stroking it over and over softly. never forgetting to nod a few times like letting you know that he's still listening.
"mhm, keep going, my pretty wife." he murmured, cupping your face as he stared at you adoringly before sprinkling kisses atop of it, different spots each time making sure he didn't miss even a single inch of your skin. a kiss to your eyelids each, cheeks, and when he reached your nose you couldn't help but let out a chuckle, at that nanami beamed.
"i'm starting to think you're not listening at all," you berated the man with an ear to ear grin, your attempt at scolding was failing miserably. as that too was swallowed by a prompt kiss to your lips.
"how presumptuous. i could listen and admire my wife's beauty at the same time." his hands were now on the sides of your face, his thumb rubbing your cheeks subtly. the smile he's wearing as he said that was blinding, contagious in every way.
"you're lucky you're cute." you raised an eyebrow at his apparent flirtation and sweet excuse that still made your inside fluttered despite of years of marriage.
"i am lucky," nanami concurred easily, his tone made it obvious that he was talking about a different thing. to be yours, the implicit meaning was loud inbetween the silent spaces. once more you were swarmed with a barrage of kisses, this time to the corner of your brows, your jaw, forehead.
you tried to hid yourself between the crook of his neck, feeling how it shook along with nanami's laughter. "seriously, what's gotten into you?" you mumbled into his skin, giggling slightly. your chest lightened, bursting with fondness.
you felt another gentle nudge atop of your head. "what? am i not allowed to kiss my lovely wife?"
"you can. but in moderation."
"nonsense. there is no moderation when it comes to you."

Nanami closes his eyes and breathes in the early morning air at his cabin, like the sentimental man he is. He turns on record player he inherited from his grandfather. Actually, every inch of his wooden cabin, away from the noisy streets of the city, was passed down to him by his grandfather.
He was 32 at the time, still a bachelor, and had long believed that marriage was something beyond his reach. On his grandfather's deathbed, he had passed the wooden cabin to Nanami. He promised that he'd keep it as long as he wanted it and perhaps, if the time came, build his own family.
So here he is, 34, living at the wooden cabin. But in addition to this inherited heirloom, he had another companion.
You, his wife. The meeting was almost 2 years ago, a chance encounter, both single in their 30s. Both longing for love that did not involve having to date younger people and exhaust themselves with trying to understand their humor. Somehow, fate was sick of waiting so it brought you two together.
Besides the woody smell Nanami inhaled almost every day, it always also that cucumber melony scent you wore almost routinely It stuck everywhere ā the kitchen, the garden, the sheets, his clothes. He wouldn't complain at all though.
When he opens his eyes, he sees you tending to the succulents you had added when you moved in. He smiles and calls out to you, "Hun?" You respond immediately, taking your gaze away from the succulent as you approach him. You were still in your cotton nightgown as you got closer to him.
Nanami's hands were gentle, turning your whole body and sitting you down beside him. "What's the matter?" you ask as the man presses his forehead and nose to your back.
"Are you hungry?" you added and he remains silent.
Little by little his arms wrap around your waist and its a small signal for you to stay. You huff out a small laugh, "I'm not going anywhere."
"Mhm, stay with me." he replies, which earns him a small peck on the cheek.
"ceo nanami x employee reader" "sugar daddy nanami x reader" nanami IS the employee. if nanami was a ceo he wouldn't be giving money to anyone he'd be retired and living in malaysia
The worst feeling is when you finish an enormous ⦠x reader masterpiece and have to go back to your boring ass life so now you suddenly feel terribly alone.
if someone had given you the task of describing your boyfriend with one word youād fail everytime. not because it was hard, but because there was too many lovely things about him that couldnāt be done justice in a singular word.
warm.
protective.
gentle.
handsome.
the list went on for miles, same was true for your adoration for him. one of your favorite things, that you always held close to your heart, was the way he would get when something happened to those he cared aboutāspecifically you.
his mind would just totally set into one track. keep you safe. help you in any way he could.
but he wasnāt anything above human, and the inevitable injuries always led you to eishaās care. gris followed, as close as he was permitted. sometimes you were unconscious, but the times you were awake and able to look him in the eye, the desperation behind them was always enough to make your stomach flip.
now wasnāt any different. he sat right beside your bed in the infirmary, slightly stiff, not yet come down from the moment you got hurt.
truth be told you felt nearly fine. you werenāt so sure if he knew that.
āyou want more pillows? you keep adjusting your headā gris began to stand up, waiting for your yes to go all the way.
āyeah, thatād be greatā you smiled, eyes still on him as he moved to the bed over and back.
as gentle as ever, he cradled your head and raised it up, placing the extra pillows under. by instinct you turned your head so your cheek laid flat in his palm, feeling the familiar warmth. he stayed there, his own body relaxing under your touch.
āgris?ā
āyes?ā
āyou ok?ā
he inhaled, barely noticeable.
āi should be asking you thatā he lightly chuckled.
āIāll be fine as long as you stay hereā
āyeah?ā
āyeah.ā
turning your head a little more, you pressed a soft kiss to his palm, savoring the mellow expression on his face. if the kiss he gave you after could instantly heal all your injuries, it would.
I might start creating my own fic with alt reader cause I get a little disheartened when a lot of fics are soft or girly reader x gruff man šš
