You donβt have to have fancy crystals and herbs for spell jars btw. You can use sugar, coffee grounds, leaves, acorns, etc. Donβt fall victim to witchcraft consumerism.

Me as a beginner witch: "the sun is setting! I absolutely need to prepare my water jar. Okay quick I must place it outside in a good spot where the moon's energy will definitely reach it. I'm setting up my alarm for tomorrow at sunrise so I can immediately bring it inside!"
Me now: "20 minutes will have to do. It's so cloudy and I have no idea where she is but she knows what to do."
Do you burn incense while having pets at home? I try not to do it very often because I'm scared that my cat might get bothered by the smoke. I usually keep her in the other side of the house while I burn in (with windows open) but I'm still a bit worried and I was wondering if you guys have any tips.

I looooove seeing peopleβs altars. The big creative ones. The small minimalist ones. Hidden ones, outdoor ones, travel ones. Theyβre all so beautiful
What people think being a witch is like: curses, hexes, human sacrifices, eating children, summoning demons.
What being a witch is actually like: "I don't like this person's energy at all but everyone else seems to get along with them so I shouldn't really say anything."
Active witchcraft blogs?
Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I have been active on Witchblr, and it appears that most of the blogs that I followed are no longer active.
Please reblog or comment if you are an active witch blog, because I'd love to follow!

The Tarot Deciphered
These notes on Tarot, Tarot meaning, Tarot symbolism were given to me years ago by @chaotic-hypnotic-erotic. They're concise and also focus on traditional meanings and interpretation. They can be helpful even for the most intuitive of readers.
I just saw a TikTok just now about βhow to become a witch,β with a list of steps for beginners to follow. The first two things on the list were to buy books on witchcraft, and then to buy a bunch of materials. So hereβs me reminding you that you donβt need to buy anything to become a witch. Sure, buying the tools is fun and all, but it isnβt a requirement to getting started. Witchcraft is a spiritual practice, not a consumerist hobby.
β A major part of manifesting is believing you're worthy of what you're asking for. You are never too little to ask for BIG changes. β
My favorite simple wards to guard the home
Hanging rosemary above the doorstep, and/or above doors of the house for protection.
Sprinkling a line of dried red pepper on a windowsill, to counter a curse.
Placing a mix of dried & ground eggshells and black pepper in every corner of a room to keep out unwanted spirits.
Placing a decoration representing a witch in the kitchen, to keep away illness and to favor health.
Crafting an effigie (no matter how crude!) and make it into the guardian of your home by charging it with your intent of protection and placing it near the front door.
Crafting small witch ladders to hang around the house.
When you fuck up while casting, laugh it off. If you drop an offering, laugh it off. Mispronounced a word? Laugh it off. Mildly burned your thumb while lighting a candle? You get the idea.
Being a practitioner is gonna come with mistakes because we're human in the same breath. Stop taking yourself so seriously, and laugh about the dumb shit that happens in Circle.
