eddie stays with you while volt goes to talk to the person who was aggravating you
as awkward as the man is, eddie can be pretty good at distracting someone
whether it be with a drink or stories he remembers happening in the breaker box
plus there’s probably card games around the breaker box that he wouldn’t mind playing with you
definitely strays away from games like uno
despite what you may think, he’s great with conversation when he’s in his own environment and with someone he knows
try to stay with him, he’s a great distraction

volt on the other hand is better with understanding people, meaning both sides of the story

if the other person leaves before he can do anything, he’s immediately striking up conversation with you, trying to calm your nerves

daisuke always has his teacups out and ready for you
accompanied by a yummy calming tea for you and something for him
he’s used to you coming over to him for tea parties, most of the time it’s when you’re positively fuming
doesn’t mind your yelling, he’s still over to the side sipping his tea, nodding along with what you say
is a little biased to agree with you even if what you’re saying is outlandish
holds your shaking hands in his warm, steady ones

Seriously, he'll spend hours tending to your fur, finding the purr-fect products, etc
His favorite sound quickly becomes you purring. He also learns quickly what each bark, stutter, and chirp means
Likes to trace your spots and the rings of your tail when he's bored
He loves just watching you move, just for aesthetics alone; you're graceful, quick, and tend to move like water. It's not uncommon for you to look over and he's watching you do completely benign things, while looking awe-struck
He appreciates that you can be dangerous, but he knows you'd never hurt him (though, he has tried to sic you on Johnny...)
Keyes - Nightingale Hybrid
You're her musically gifted partner!
Without fail she catches you singing along to her piano every time she plays
Asks you often to help her work out tunes by singing them for her
You two play off each other very well, usually without even needing to discuss how a song goes
The two of you put on little shows for some of the other dateables quite often (Volt keeps trying to get you to perform at the Breaker Box!)
She likes tending to your feathers when she's stressed, since it gives her something to do with her hands

Volt likes to let you know he’s thinking of you, even when you aren’t able to communicate in any human way. Most often, he does so with a small, affectionate shock.
Electricity is needed all throughout the house, and Volt is the one who goes around checking on if the other objects are having any power issues. So he sees you outside the atmosphere of the Breaker Box more often than you’d think. He likes the way you look when you lounge about without the dateviators on, not intending to impress anyone. You and Eddie both look your most beautiful when there are no burdens on your shoulders.
When he sees you like that, he can never resist reaching out to touch you. A soft caress of your arm, or your leg, just a brush against your skin. You always startle for a moment at the sudden prickle of energy, before laughing softly and letting out a soft “Hi, Volt. Want me to stop by tonight?” Another tiny jolt is his reply of ‘Always.’
The most common time for him to send a little electricity your way is when you’re leaving for work. Almost every morning, as your hand reaches for the doorknob and just before you can make contact, a small spark hits your fingers.
When he first started doing it, you didn’t even put it together that it was him. You’ve always had a bit more static charge to you than the average person. It isn’t out of the ordinary for you to get shocked. It wasn’t until a rather pouty host asked why you always “flit out the door without a goodbye” that you connected the dots and realized those shocks might have been more intentional than you initially thought.
You spent the rest of that night snuggled up on his lap at your VIP table to make up for “so cruelly ignoring” him, as he playfully put it. It was nothing you couldn’t fix with a trail of kisses up his jaw and some loving words.~
Now it’s just another part of your morning routine. Much like pressing snooze on your alarm twice, picking out earrings, and brushing your teeth. The morning feels disjointed without a little jolt from dear Volt, now.
And every time that spark hits your fingers, you’re sure to wish him a sweet goodbye. Oftentimes you merely blow a kiss or offer up a quick “Love you!” But there is some variety. Any acknowledgement makes Volt happy. Even a small “Hi, Volt,” with a smile makes his chest buzz with contentment.
His favorite way that you return his greeting in the morning, though, is when you gently pull your fingers from the door and press a lingering kiss to the spot where the current was strongest that day. The first time you did it, Volt was rendered so speechless that Eddie asked later what you’d done to him. “Whatever it was, do it again,” he says. “So I can laugh at him some more.”

He never minded, the inanimals chew on him all the time and your teeth aren't nearly as sharp as some of theirs.
Notices the shift in your behavior after you receive the dateviators and understands exactly why; he gets that it must feel weird to find out the things you chewed on were conscious the whole time.
Won't bring it up until after you've gotten close; he doesn't want to make you feel awkward. But he will broach the topic eventually.
You don't need to stop on his account, if it brings you comfort you can bite on him whenever you want. In blanket form or in human form.
He thinks it's cute, in fact he kind of gets his own strange sense of comfort from it.
Penelope
Flustered!!!
I mean she chews on her own pens but it's so different when you're the one being chewed on.
Will very awkwardly bring it up when you first start talking. She tries to come across as smooth and chill about it, but the stammering and red face prove the opposite to be true.
Then you stop, and strangely enough... she misses it.
WHAT? What's wrong with her?! Why does she miss being chewed on by you??? You're just the super sexy homeowner who she not so secretly has a super huge crush on.
She'll eventually blurt out that she wants things to go back to the way they were before. The discussion that follows is incredibly awkward, but endearing. Revelations are made. Boundaries are put in place.
She tells you that you can munch her whenever you want, then immediately regrets ever learning to speak.

Hank 4 definitely has a biting habit so they get it. He bites them too; it's a form of affection.
You know Hank 3 is going to be the first to bring it up.
When you stop they think they've done something to upset you; you're gonna have to deal with some pouty Hanks.
What happened house homie? Did Hank 3's cringe rizz creep you out? He'll dial it back if you want.
You assure them it's nothing like that, you just don't want to push boundaries, and they let you know it's all good. You do you!
You now have permission to bite them whenever you feel like it, on the condition that they get to do the same.
Barry
He has the same habit. I mean, why do they make makeup palettes look like candy if you're not supposed to eat them? (as long as you're not eating the makeup itself).
Never gave it much thought when you did it, but when you stopped he definitely noticed.
Means to ask you about it for the longest time but every time you two chat he forgets to bring it up. You're just so fun to talk to and he has so many other things occupying his mind when you're around.
You're the one to bring it up in the end, apologizing for the way you treated him pre-dateviators. You're sure it can't have been comfortable.
He's quick to reassure you: it wasn't uncomfortable at all, he understands the compulsion to chew on things, it's grounding and an effective form of self regulation. Though he would recommend regularly cleaning/sanitizing anything you put near your mouth, your health is important after all.
Then he goes off on a tangent wondering if his own makeup products can feel him chewing on them. Is the brush he's holding its own micro-Barry? Does he also chew on his makeup? And how does that makeup feel about being chewed on?
Suddenly you're the one doing the reassuring. If he doesn't mind being chewed on, then any other possible Barrys would feel the same.

Dateables with a player who has Type 1 Diabetes
(Thank you for the request. This was an interesting one to think about. My brother actually has t1 diabetes, so I'm using him as my basis. Sorry if this one's a bit all over the place, I just had so many ideas and wanted to get them all on the page before I forgot them. As no characters were specified I just picked a handful that I felt fit the prompt)
Firstly, the kitchen dateables are on top of everything: Mitchell is your steadfast meal planning companion, Stefan and Errol have all kinds of recipes to suit your needs, Freddy is organized and on top of everything you have in the fridge/freezer, ready to remind you when you're running low on something. He keeps an eagle eye on your insulin (it's his top priority and a job he takes very seriously). If you wear a CGM Freddy has developed a sort of pavlovian response to the sound of its alerts - his doors open the second the first beep sounds, ready for you to grab whatever you need.
Now, you've been helping the dateables non stop since you received the dateviators, working yourself to the bone. You don't mind of course, you love them all very much and want them to be happy. However, some of them start noticing that you've been eating less, sometimes forgetting mealtimes altogether. It isn't on purpose but they can't help but worry. Still, you always make your way to the kitchen for something when your monitor goes off or you feel the first symptoms of a hypo. For some of them that's enough - at least you haven't completely forgotten to take care of yourself. But for others, the worry runs deeper.
Dorian keeps a closer eye on you; he knows what symptoms to look out for and will firmly tell you to take a break if he notices you overdoing it.
Betty can see exactly when you start to get weary and will guide you to bed, ready to pamper you until you're well. She'll call on Mitchell to bring you something to eat.
When you have a headache or are just feeling overwhelmed Phoenicia will become your glucose alarm, because let's be honest those things get loud, and you would much rather listen to Phoenicia's voice gently reminding you when it's time to get your sugars up.
However, let's say you don't use a CGM, or maybe it disconnects for whatever reason one day (as they always seem to like doing). You go about your daily business, helping out wherever you can around the house, moving from room to room with vigor. With a routine like this it's easy to lose track of time. The dateables notice the warning signs before you do, or at least they're the first to acknowledge it.
You're assisting with maintenance at the Breaker Box when Eddie notices you swaying. He immediately sits you down and asks when you last ate. Your hesitation and tired expression tell him all he needs to know, so he asks Volt to take you down to the kitchen while he gets Farya. Volt guides you down the stairs with an arm around your waist, gently scolding you with a face full of concern: "You really must pay attention to these things, Livewire."
Once you reach the kitchen things become a bit of a blur. Volt sits you at the table and hangs back, giving the kitchen crew space to do their thing. You blink the haze out of your eyes and suddenly there's a glass of water and a serving of whatever your go to hypo food is in front of you. Along with a dozen or so expectant faces.
Once you've eaten, prepare for some royal treatment. It's not every day you slip like this, and the dateables are not about to let this opportunity to coddle and care for you pass them by.
Farya is going to be glued to your side for a while, periodically checking your blood sugar levels until they've been regulated with a concerning degree of excitement. She'll probably ask a few invasive questions about the experience, but will back off if you ask. Maybe humor her just a little bit: it would make her day, and you know the attention comes from a place of love.
Hector will do whatever he can to help regulate your body temperature while you recover. He hates seeing you in this weakened state so anything he can do he will.
If you're overheating, Freddy has a cold compress on hand, although simply hugging him does the trick just fine.
If you're cold and trembling, Mateo and Dante will work together to make you warm again.
Daisuke will gently massage your hands to ease the tingling in your fingertips. Pressing sweet kisses to each one and asking if you can feel them. Say no (a little white lie never hurt anybody).
Stella will lend an arm as you climb the stairs in case you get lightheaded or stumble.
She passes you over to Dorian once you reach the top. They both know you're perfectly capable of walking on your own, but they insist on helping. What's the point of having a house full of lovers and friends if they can't dote on you every once in a while.
Dorian guides you to your bed, double checking that you're feeling alright before returning to his post and letting Betty take over.
Betty stays by your side, stroking her hand up and down your arm as you close your eyes and wait for the vertigo to pass.
Meanwhile, River, Bathsheba and Winnifred are preparing a lovely bath for you to decompress in.
After which Tyrell will dry you off and accompany you for the four steps it takes to get back to your room. When I said coddle I meant coddle, they aren't taking their eyes off you for a moment.
Timothy creates a strict timetable for your mealtimes, and he is going to make sure you adhere to it. The minute it's time for your evening meal he's there with his arm held out, ready to escort you to the kitchen where Stefan has prepared your favorite.
Yes they are all taking advantage of this situation: it's the perfect excuse to shower you with love. No, they are never going to let things get to this point again, your health is their top priority and they will not let you neglect it, even accidentally.

I keep thinking of like, quiet intimiacy with various dateables involving their object forms when the homeowner isen't wearing the glasses. Kind of showing that you dont just forget about them just cause you cant see their more humanoid form. Might write a part 2 with more dateables if anyone want.

- First to come to mind just cause hes so portable as a D20. You can pick him up and carry him with you practically at any time.
- i honestly think he would actually enjoy being fidgeted with, especially when you do it gently. Its a bit like someone messing with your hair or hands, but on a more encompassing scale.
- hold him enclosed in both hands and it becomes a full body hug. that dice would just melt at the gesture.
- It might take some time to get him to admit it but he finds it fun when you just do some rolls for the heck of it. Dice are made for it and to him its a bit like a rollercoaster, just dont be overly rough with your throws.

- Pat the computer pat the computer pat the computer–
- You allready spend a lot of time with them due to being your PC, which they were perfectly happy to begin with, but i think they would be so joyful to have you acknowledge them every once in a while when working or browsing. Type some nice words into the command prompt for your hardworking desktop everybody.
- If you have a setup like mine then you can rest your leg against the pc tower while sitting at the desk. Leaning up at their side essentially.
Mateo🧺
- Ever wrapped yourself in a blanket like a cape? Yeah, another carryable dateable. He can often be quite busy with the inanimals so i think he would appriciate being able to spend time with you in some way even if the dateavators are out of charges.
- If you like soft textures you can keep him next to you too, dragging your hand across the textile while focused on something else. I bet he would find it equally as soothing as you.
- Bundle him up close to you in a hug, mabey take a nap. Like quite a few of the others he allready enjoyed the times spent with you even pre-dateavators, so a lot of the same just more intentional and loving. And when you feel the blanket settling just a little closer to you than before? Getting even cozier than though possible? Thats just him returning the sentiment.
Johnny🚿
- like the other dateables that are either too stationary or out of the way you would need to make your gestures count when youre there instead of just the silent time spent togheter.
- whenever youre passing by for whatever reason take a little detour to your shower to give him a pat on one of the glass walls in greeting. Make the touch linger to fluster him a little. The extra attention is new to him as you woulden't have had any reasons to touch a shower more than the breif times required when in use.
- He woulden't mind it if your daily showers took a bit longer than before, the extra work is more than worth the additional time with you. And of course he would be serenading you the entire time regardless if you could hear it or not, mabey a faint echo from the pipes?
- When you're done feather your hand across the metal of the knobs when you go to shut the water of, just as a little gesture of thanks. This gentleshower would be so giddy afterwards.
Dorian🚪
- Opening a door? Lean completely up against him everytime as you push the door open. Might even make him crack his composure juuuust a little.
- On your phone for something? Consider taking a moment to sit down leaned up against him while scrolling instead of your usual spot. Keep him company while hes so busy gaurding the house.
