Alright my obsession with ao3 runs deep so i’m going to try something…

This year i’m going to document how many words of fanfiction i read from now until the 31/12/2026 and see how far the addiction runs (so very deep as we already know)

So now January has come to a close i can conclude that i’ve officially got a spider-man obsession. Because who else has read 1,118,480 million words worth of primarily irondad&spiderson fics in 31 days…

not me definitely 😅 and i most certainly haven’t read 234,306 words worth of merlin fics on top of that.

peak levels of hyperfixation is watching spider-man brand new day on opening night then immediately start writing a oneshot the same evening because you want to read bnd ff but know there will be next to none so you need to write it yourself

update: i’ve pulled an all nighter to do this and the consequences include insanity… aka me now including a paragraph of star wars lore into this

sleep deprivation leads to searches like “what is a group of wookies called” and laughing because you genuinely can’t think and can barely string a thought together

further update: i’m becoming even more unhinged and have started writing bad comedic timing dark jokes

look i’m already itching for scenes and screen packs to release on youtube, like i already have a few perfect songs that work and so many of these scenes look amazing for editing. (literally perfect close up for the clip where peter is shot as it parallels tony’s and may’d death) oh plus you know the fanfics are going to be amazingly painful. (already thinking of writing a quick oneshot about the inhibitor chip called “not a monster anymore”)

Sirius decorates his favourite leather jacket with patches that represented his friends, all of them were there. James even had two a sun and a deer. It made Regulus feel even more rejected that there was never anything on it for him.

What nobody knew was that the first thing Sirius had added was the Leo constellation on the inside of the jacket right above his heart.

because the first and only time regulus realised it was there was on the night sirius escaped and tore it at from the inside of his jacket in front of of regulus declaring that he was no longer his brother.

and so that was the first time regulus learned his brother still loved him only to have that loved ripped in the same moment. after all, wasn’t that the black family way?

Hey. Why isn’t the moon landing a national holiday in the US. Isn’t that fucked up? Does anyone else think that’s absurd?

It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!

It’s July 20th. That’s the day of the moon landing. Next year is going to be the 54th anniversary. I’m ordering astronaut shaped cookie cutters on Etsy and I’m going to have a goddamn potluck. You’re all invited.

Teen aroace culture is coming out to your parents as aroace and then them constantly saying “well you might be aromantic/asexual or you might not be” over and over again. Every time you show disgust at romantic/sexual stuff and say your aroace. it’s clear that they are trying to be supportive, but every time they say it, it sounds like they are just waiting for time to go on and for you to realize it’s all a phase. And it’s clear that they very much don’t understand aroace ness (with how much they are infatuated with each other). And they are very much supportive of the queer community as a whole, every time they say dismissive words against you being aroace, a little part of you breaks.

Sorry for venting.
