neil! I always see pictures of you wearing a black shirt, black skinny jeans, and a black overcoat. is this your daily attire? why? (not judging, just curious)
My daily attire is a bright red coat, a green tee shirt and yellow trousers. They just show up black in photos.
Ha! I joke with you amusingly.
It is indeed my daily attire. It keeps the elements at bay and gives me a place to put my keys, stops me being arrested on charges of public nudity and so much more.
Sometime in the late 90s, possibly at a book signing or a Comic Book Legal Defence Fund reading, I heard you say
"I love black. Black goes with everything. Well, goes with everything black anyway."
... and I quote it frequently.
It was Crowley.
Amazon has dropped bloopers for 'Good Omens' season 2! And they're hellishly difficult to access if you don't know what you're doing.
This may be of use to you all…
It’s a way to get to cut scenes.
“Now, look here, nothing good will come of it. You must take that emotion and you must bury it. Never let it out.”
BBC Ghosts | Good Omens
hey neil!!
the historical flashbacks are some of my favorite scenes in season 1 and season 2 of good omens, so i was wondering if there were any time periods you’d really like to portray aziraphale and crowley in that you haven’t already???
Quite a few. Ones that we had planned as possible for Season 2 (that either didn't get written or didn't get filmed) included a Wild West one, a 15th century Papal one, an Arabian Nights one, and a 1960s American one with Crowley and Aziraphale female presenting. And we have the whole of human history as a canvas. But for now the ones you've got are all.
WE COULDVE HAD THEM FEMALE PRESENTING??
I need all these scenes in a bonus

I've recently befriended a local antique bookseller- this lovely old man with an impressive collection.
I asked him one day, while I was looking through his Shakespeare collection, how long he'd had his shop for and he told me that he'd been selling his books for over 47 years. I was astonished and told him how it was a dream of mine to own a store like this one day but then a customer came in negotiating a price to sell him some of her daughter's old literature. He told her that he was sorry but already had more books than he could possibly manage to sell and she left, a bit disappointed.
Then he sat in his armchair next to where I was perusing and he told me in a huff, returning to our previous conversation:
"Buying the books was always more fun than selling them."
That immediately stuck with me and I thought I'd share because I think it's lovely that even human antique booksellers share Aziraphale's sentiment!
Aziraphale's bookselling tactics are based on several real-life booksellers of Terry's and my acquaintance. Not all of them. But many.
BRB, on our way to our 2nd rewatch of Season 2.
We live in a dystopia....
If the background actors don't come in for work because they exist virtually then the background costume and background hair and make up and their catering and transport and all the other departments that look after them get cut too. These things have knock on effects...
Keep it up @neil-gaiman, it will be over soon
This has actually been my life for the last two years...
