I’m very happy with how this piece turned out, I’ve been wanting to draw Lyric for a while now.  Down below is a snippet of a short story written by C.P. Covington about this piece c:> ----------------------------------- “One Last Kiss” by C.P. Covington "All eyes were on her as she flourished her airborne technique. This was it, her grand finale, the shows finishing act. Little did the audience know; but the seal of her lips was the seal of the circus slavers doom. Pigeon Kissy~  More Finni n Finch <3 I had some free time and wanted to do a smaller doodle I primarily made this to test out speedpainting,  sadly my first attempt didn’t go so well.... ;-; The canvas was zooming and flipping at a rate that I would need to put a motion sickness warning on it. I wouldn’t want to subject anyone to that awful experience. On the brightside, while I may not have a speedpaint! I have a painting~ Thankfully I think I’ve found a proper solution to my speedpainting woes <3 so hopefully I will have a speed paint to share with you guys sometime soon If any of you guys have any advice on recording speedpaints I’d love to hear it!

Some friends and I are going to be doing the WaterDeep Dragon Heist campaign! We’re going to be sharing our experiences with YouTube story time series~ This image is going our title card c: Some of the items on the table are items that belong to some of the pcs~ with a lil request from the dm being the stone in the left hand corner (idk what the object is but to me it looks like an evil peapod)  I’m super excited for this campaign and to share our experience with you guys! pls no spoilers c;

I’ve been practicing my anatomy as of late some of the sketches I liked I decided to add a lil bit of color to c: I used the website: https://line-of-action.com/practice-tools/figure-drawing for references I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their anatomy They have a large variety of models of different body types, age, and race~

*pigeon cooing noises*  I simply adore the idea of a celestial being having a pet pigeon~ While I’m not the happiest with this piece, I am happy to have persevered and finished it. A lesson I learned from working on this, and something I feel that a lot of artists should know as well is that detail that can not be seen from a distance does not add to the overall quality of the piece. As a detail shill myself. I regret having spent so much time on the time city, adding tiny details that will never be seen. As much as I love detail, this has been a good lesson to learn.  A good rule of thumb I learned from this is that, if I can see the pixels when I’m adding the details. Either A The canvas is too small or B the detail is too small to be noticed.

“There’s no paradise for you to escape to. What you’ll find... What’s there is just a battlefield” I was heart broken when I heard the news of Miura’s passing; he was a wonderful story teller and artist. His graphic novel Berserk has helped me through countless sleepless nights.  The Lost Children arc of Berserk is by far one of my favorites. To me its the shifting point in Guts’s story, it’s his first step on the road of recovery. His first step in accepting people back into his life; him allowing himself to be empathetic once more. After chapters of seeing Guts in a pain driven rage, it was beautiful to see him vulnerable once more. That’s what I love most about Berserk. No matter how much pain and hardship Guts goes through, he always finds his way back to being human.  (( Guts is also my favorite example of a badass becoming an awkward dad trope ))

I decided to try my hand at the draw again again challenge c: I completed this challenge quite a while ago, a lot of months ago.. I just forgot to post it here c; so here it is~ The bottom one is the original, top is the redrawn version I changed a lot of his colors simply because I wasn’t too pleased with the original outcome of the bottom one I plan on doing this challenge again in the future ^-^

Have you ever wondered why there’s a shadow on the moon?  About the kingdom that once was, and the king that roams its forgotten wastes  Sometimes I look up and think of him Whenever I have free time and the urge to write I make fairy tales  I feel we could all use some more fairy tales in our lives
