Hey everyone, Long time no see. It’s Shelly here. I have a lot to say so please bare with me. I will be addressing everything that you all need to know. This year has literally been the worst that I have ever experienced.
First, Regarding the main reason I left. I used a scalp texture from Brandysims without proper credits. The reason this whole thing became what it was is because Enrique was the one who informed Brandysims where he got the scalp texture he was using. I have used some parts of Enrique’s meshes without proper credits as well. I am not excusing my actions and I feel terrible about this whole situation. I know I am not a good person for what I did. I apologize and I never meant to cause this much harm. To Enrique I am sorry. To Brandon I am sorry. To anyone I have ever hurt by trying to make meshes I am sorry. You all truly don’t know how much this has effected my mental health. I have not been well ever since this has happened. I am a terrible person for all of this and I know my actions are inexcusable. I deleted all of my accounts because I am no longer going to be creating custom content ever again. I have been making CC for almost 4 years now and its has been a beautiful journey. But it’s time to move on. My father passed away in early September and ever since then I have always known that this year was going to be my last. I am not saying that for you to pity me. I am just letting you all know why I have been struggling so bad.
Secondly, It has come to my understanding that Brandysims stole from other creators from IMVU and Second life and hides all of his meshes behind a paywall. I find it very interesting that you decided to call me out when you yourself have done the exact same thing if not worse. You said you tried to message me once but then you didn’t hear from me so you made that post. So my question is, what kind of man only reaches out once then makes a whole “callout” post and sends your goons to harass me? You even gave me an ultimatum. I had MULTIPLE forms of contact that you could have done. I had, Discord, Email, Twitter etc. You took the cowards approach and it worked. I got verbally harassed and called every name you could think of. Lemme make this clear, I am not excusing my actions, and I still do feel awful for what transpired but, the way you handled this situation was and is very childish. I understand your frustration but the way I was bombarded with hatful words, really did not help this situation. If anything it made it worse.
Lastly, I have seen that a new creator Yamakaiji is getting some backlash and others are saying that I am the one running that account or vise versa. I am sorry to tell you all that is simply not the case. Alex and I have been friends for quite sometime, even before I was a CC creator. Recently a few weeks ago he messaged me in hopes to become a CC creator. I sent him my Mods folder and helped him set everything up for his blog. This was before the whole Brandysims situation transpired. To those who keep calling him Shelly, STOP IT. We are not the same person and I will not allow you to make another black creator leave this platform because you all are too ignorant to comprehend. You all need to stop all of this madness. We have little to no black creators creating exclusively black content, so once again this whole situation is MY FAULT. He doesn’t deserve the backlash. And to @worrytuna who made that weak “callout” post, you are so quick to drag someone, but you should wait to hear the entire story. This whole situation is my fault. If anyone is to blame it is me. People like you who are so rash are the cause of the problem. Once again I never meant to cause this much discourse and hurt. To Alex I’m sorry I put you in this position. I truly feel terrible.
Now, Finally regarding my CC…I have one request. Don’t retexture my black hair into straight textures. You can share the CC and even include the meshes in your recolors but as long as you give credit where credit is due, there shouldn’t be a problem. Trust me, the lesson I have learned in all of this is to make sure you give credit where credit is due and have integrity.
@losts4cc is hosting all of my meshes so that is where you can find them. Lots4cc is the only person who is allowed to host my meshes. If anyone else is hosting my meshes please delete your host sites. Also If anyone needs any help finding a mesh or an old mesh let me know before I permanently leave by the end of the week.
To all the people who I have met on this platform and to all the friendships I have formed I truly am grateful for you all. To all the ones who have supported me monetarily I will forever be in your gratitude. You all helped me pay for a few of my books for college and for that i will forever be grateful. You all have given me a platform to express my love for cc and I am eternally grateful for you. I love you all so much! Thank you for all the support thorough the years and even in this crazy time. To all the ones who sent me messages and inbox replies and even emails I wanna say thank you. I will never for get the outpouring of love that I have received throughout this whole situation. In a way, I’m grateful that this transpired the way it did. I am now going to move forward from here and take a break and get my mental health together. This happened the way it was supposed to. I am a better person because of this. And once again if I haven’t made it clear I am sorry for causing so many problems. All I wanted to do was make content the represented the beauty that my culture has. I truly meant no harm and i hope you all see that. I have always tried to be kind and a symbol of inspiration on this platform but, people make mistakes and I made a big one. I am not asking for your forgiveness or even your pity, I am asking for grace and understanding. What I did was wrong and it has caused a snowball effect of mess. I am here to clean it up and say if anyone is to blame for this WHOLE situation, it’s me. Do me a favor and please, please, please treat other with kindness. You never know what someone is going through. Life is too short to not be kind. Once again I love you all so much and thank you for reading this and letting me clear things up and set things straight.
