Hii ! My name is Hysteria or Matrix, I am a therianthrope and otherlink (among other labels...), I'm also genderqueer, demiaroace & saphillealm. My interests include alterhumanity, learning stuff, photography, animals, music, and more.

I am very highly suspected to have Inattentive ADHD (and social anxiety), though I am not diagnosed. But still, please be patient with me and be gentle, as I'm also quite sensitive.

Also, I use canine/feline/nonhuman vivterms. Shortened, vivterms are basically terms that replace human terms with nonhuman terms, for example; fangs/canines instead of teeth, claws instead of nails, paws instead of feet/hands, etc. I would also prefer to be referred as a canine/feline, creature, beast, critter, or anything nonhuman instead of human if talking about my nonhuman identities :)

Furthermore, I am nonhuman. I am a conceptkin, otherlinker, fictionkin and overall animal!

I have made this blog to ramble about most stuff non-human related. I am (yet again...) attempting to connect to my nonhumanity because I keep pushing it to the side and hiding it away. I hope this blog can help with that and also improve my confidence in talking more !

I will block freely. I do not have a specific DNI, but if you follow me or comment on a post of mine, and I dislike you for some reason, I will block you. One specific thing though, please no nsfw blogs interacting with me or my account. I am a minor. As well as please no radqueers, antikin or beings who are pro-contact. Other then that, I block freely.

If you have any questions, just want to talk, or just wanna spread some positivity in my asks (Bark to me!!), you are free to do that !!

On an extra note, it is unlikely that I will accept or give friend requests or DM/message people because I am extremely anxious in social situations unless it's with one of my IRL friends.

important to remember that animal rights is NOT the same as animal welfare

Animal rights as a belief = that animals have the same inalienable rights as people. my bias shows with this comment but i must say it is often verrrrrry anthropocentric, because the main consideration of many of these people is often our own concepts of freedom and choice.

Animal welfare as a belief = that animals deserve to be cared for in a way that is aware of their abilities, emotions, and preferred environment. Quality of life is the most important consideration

It is absolutely not impossible for these two to go together, but ime you will often find that people who put animal welfare first are usually noooooot the same as animal rights people

EXAMPLE: is it good to kill an animal because it will have a very low quality of life if it lives?

A proponent of primarily animal rights is less likely to say yes because we generally consider it bad to kill a person for a poor quality of life, because people often don't wanna die

A proponent of primarily animal welfare will say yes. Because animals to not tend to display an understanding of the far future or their own death, and pain sucks especially when you cannot think past it. It would be cruel to keep it alive because it is suffering, and is very very likely unable to conceptualize this suffering in the same ways suffering people do if at all

Reminder that transspecies is not a trans-ID, and that it is older than the vast majority of trans-IDs now. It's just another victim to that community's co-opting of terms that don't belong to them (much like how they did with the term "transrace", which was originally made by/for adoptees in families of a different race/culture)

You can be transspecies and anti-transid, because it was never part of that community. It's always been for us

I personally think we should all stop attacking critters (especially children) who call themselves therians without knowing the actual meaning, its so much better to just explain Therianthropy to them and suggest they look into terms like Otherhearted or Otherpaw
