It's always "the Jedi failed at this," "Anakin should've done that," and never "Darth Sidious is so good at his job, he deserves to get Sith Lord of the month."

EVERYBODY CHEER AND CLAP FOR HIM IMMEDIATELY
this image makes me emotional too if i look at it too long
“you can’t forget your mother tongue” okay but have you considered bilinguals and polyglots whose first language isn’t english and whose development during adolescence was shaped by consuming content and media only in english and have ever since viewed that second language, foreign to their own, as a better outlet for their emotions and thoughts? as Yiyun Li said “it is hard to feel in an adopted language, yet impossible in my native language.”

There are so many ways to make moodboards, bookcovers, and icons without plagiarizing! As artists, authors, and other creatives, we need to be especially careful not to use someone else’s work and pass it off as our own.
Please add on if you know any more resources for free images <3
recently found out about openverse which i think aggregates a bunch of creative commons images from flickr, wikimedia, nasa etc… pretty handy
"Bliss by Palette Knife" by River Berumen
[image: artwork of the windows xp desktop background "bliss", a grassy rolling hill with a bright blue sky with white fluffy clouds. the painting includes the blue taskbar and desktop icons. it's rendered with a palette knife leaving the paint highly textured and details obscured.]

The last character you drew/wrote about is now stuck in the last game you played. How screwed are they?
did you know that it was established in the Star Wars books (like....several decades ago now lofl) that if you don't wipe a computer's memory banks every now and then, and just let it keep running...it'll eventually become sentient?
Most people think it's annoying and too much of a hassle so they make sure to reset them to factory default once they start showing signs of mutation.
But Luke liked his X-wing and didn't want to erase the personality it was starting to form.
He's also been criticized many times for "allowing" R2-D2 to have so much personality.
Luke Skywalker says droid rights, when written by a competent author.
I'd have to check back during my rereading of the whole SWEU series (at ..... Some point. I have so many books to read before I even consider picking up star wars and it's like 200+ novels let alone the 20+ we have physical copies of)
but, I'm fairly certain Timothy Zahn is the author that establishes this world building, and I'm fairly certain it's in the first Thrawn Trilogy, when Luke is stranded in his damaged/out-of-fuel X-Wing in between star systems and is preparing to put himself in a Force Coma to conserve oxygen and avoid starving to death/dying of thirst/asphyxiating/freezing to death from the lack of Life Support Functions.
It's been over a decade since I read these books lol
