You know how demigods are born in weird ways, right? What if the Hermes kids are actually dropped off by a stork? Like that would be so funny. Some of them don't actually know how a baby is born cause they all think that the stork story is true cause that's how they were born, and everyone in camp just runs with it. Cause they're not as smart as the Athena kids who figured it out on their own, and it's funny.

reading the priory of the orange tree and it’s prequel a day of fallen night have been an absolute treat for me, your everyday lesbian, who is constantly shipping characters when the barest hint of tension or yearning is shown. but icon samantha shannon takes it a step further; “no, you’re right” i imagine her saying as all the wlw couples i see in these books are not figments of my imagination but rather carefully crafted romances that corroborate the plot. reading these books felt like affirmation, seeing so many queer characters in a queernorm high fantasy world living their life and seeing couples like mine represented in a genre i love was incredible.

i am obsessed with both and cannot wait for the next stories in the series, i will gladly read them at any point in my life.

you’ve got to be careful reading fantasy books that are also romances because when the horny scenes arrive they’ll say shit like “i had a dream you were still a godsinger, and i was your shrine” and “i may not be your queen, but i am yours, and you will find that i can be very generous”
