everything you draw a character from different media, how is your art style so different? (just curious)

that’s a great question!! Theres a lil habit i like to do whenever I draw media in my art; mimicking artstyles!! As I draw a certain character from different media and if i wanna try to mimic the artstyle (as if I try to mimic it as accurate or canon as possible), it may look different but honestly, its one of the skills I love to do and practice from!

-Let’s say I wanna draw Teto in my style BUT i wanna make it as accurate as her official vectors. This is what It mostly looks like:

on the left, it may not be as accurate (since im abit bad at drawing stuff like the anatomy and multiple stuff) but i always try my best to look closely at the references and learn from there! Thats how I learn on drawing different characters from different media and there’s a 90% chance I will try to study it’s artstyle there! :) Theres a quote I taught myself; If you try to mimic the artstyle for the first time, It may look abit off. But once you practice and learn more from it, taking the time to study its proportions and anatomy, then its a piece of cake! ^_^
