Can I just say how some people are just a bunch of complete hypocrites? They were the same people who refused to listen to a word Doctor Shannon Curry, a trained/licensed psychiatrist, said about AH, but suddenly these people now want to act like trained/licensed psychiatrist themselves and ‘diagnose’ Johnny Depp’s body language (the way he did not look at his abuser during her testimony) and said that his body language meant he felt ‘guilt.’ Thus he refused to look at her.

Here’s a fact for you: Johnny refused to look at his abuser, not because he was guilty but because actual victims do not want to look at their abusers. Period. AH has been staring at Johnny the entire time, since day one, because he was her victim and she was in rage she no longer had these control over him.

I’m sorry that the fact a man is a victim of domestic violence and a woman is an abuser does not fit your ‘men bad women good’ narrative, so you had to go ahead and do everything to try to twist that fact, but surprise surprise, abuse has no gender. Men can be victims and women can be abusers.

Yes, I’m a woman. No, I do not stand with an abuser just because she, too, is a woman just like me.

Justice for Johnny Depp.

Justice for every male and female victim of domestic violence.

Regardless of how one might feel about the show, one thing that's undisputable is Charlie's phenomenal acting performance. He made Matt's character- his emotions, personality, and internal turmoil and struggls feel so lived-in and authentic. He's also subtle and understated as Matt Murdock, but still believably intimidating and formidable as Daredevil.

He's just so good that I can wax poetic about his performance all day. The fact he's able to differentiate an authentic smile from a pained, ironic one. The fact that he was able to convey so many emotions even with a thousand-yard stare without looking moony... he really ate this role all the way up!

Should've really been nominated for an Emmy at least once throughout the course of the show 🤷

well today is just a "fall in love with charlie cox some more" day

With all the "Charlie Cox comeback" talk ramping up, it'll be a good friendly reminder to know how much he did deserve to be given the chance to reprise his role again.

Besides the fact that he acted his ass off in every scene, he was very respectful of how he approached playing a blind superhero and spent hours on hours with a blind consultant to observe his mannerisms to get it as accurate as he can for the show.

His portrayal was so faithful that the American Foundation for the Blind honored him with the Hellen Keller Award in 2015

Plus the absolute masterclass turn he did during the scenes in S3 where he had to portray a blind person pretending to be a sighted person. The layers, the nuance.

Or when he still managed to maintain the no eye-contact even during fight scenes?

There's plenty more to say about my favorite Marvel performance, but I really wanted to highlight the best part, which is Charlie making sure his portrayal of the disability was respectful and as near realistic as possible.

I'm convinced Daredevil is laced with crack because the moment you start the show and you watch Matt Murdock even in one episode alone, you immediately attach to him like a horny barnacle and can't quit him.

Matt cracks that half-smile and you're just simply locked in for life. That's it. You're Matt Murdock trash. He just lives in your mind rent-free now 🤧
